Hey guys! We are going to spend two days at Epcot in May 08. We have decided for one TS meal to eat at Coral Reef. Any suggestions for the next restaurant.

Also ideas for counter service?

Thanks for the help.

For counter service, Japan is excellent. I greatly enjoyed the chicken curry I had there. Good prices and portions. For a TS restaurant, I quite like Morocco. If Moroccan isn't your preference, the second best TS restaurant is France.

the new Japanese restaurant either Tokyo Dining, or Tepen Edo (is that what they named it) would be my choice.
CS- morocco is good, seasons in the land, and

By far, my favorite at Epcot is Bistro de Paris for dinner. Definitely has the best food and since it's not on the dining plan or very kid-friendly, it's a great adult place to eat.

We are just back and were on DDP - went to Tutto Italia for dinner (1TS) and loved it so much we went back 2 nights later and they were able to fit us in! DH had the lasagna (best EVER) and I had lamb chops; second time manicotti and a veal dish. Pricey but on DDP its a better deal.

Epcot is great for counter service - go to Sunshine Seasons in the Land pavilion. Its an upscale food court but great quality, great variety and great portions - we love it there. Also like the Mexican CS - never did their TS after reading so many negatives but like the counter service.

I think Bistro de Paris is not part of DDP but Chefs de France is and we like it there very much. Others will tell you Le Cellier is one of the best TS but frankly I don't get it... but thats OK too. You'll love Coral Reef - that's one of our favorites too! Enjoy!

We also really enjoy the Moroccan counter service - actually better than the TS. Yum...I wish I could get a shwarma (sp?) right now!

We also love the Rose and Crown for TS if sitting on the porch by the water drinking a snakebite.

I'm laughing posting this after reading above post, but our personal favorite is LeCellier.....debated to death on this board, I know. :) I can say that we love the mushroom filet mignon and that is their signature dish. DH has tried several other meals there and not cared for them, but he is now hooked on the filet since I finally convinced him to try it.

Coral Reef -- good choice, we love that one too.

Other favorites are Japan and Mexico. We used to love Italy, not sure about the replacement right now.

Upstairs in the French is the best. After that Coral Reef and after that Norwegian. IOO.:yay:

If you don't mind going out for a little walk, go out the International Gateway entrance and dine at The Flying Fish or Spoodles on Disney's Boardwalk. They are excellent restaurants as well and I consider them "EPCOT restaurants" of a sort since they are so close.

We love love love Le Cellier.

-The mushroom filet
-The cheese soup and pretzel breadsticks
-The awesome dessert selection

For Table Service: I loved Teppanyaki. I have heard really good things about its replacement Teppan Edo too. I also really like the Biergarten, but I'm from Wisconsin and we all love brats and beer ;). I have also heard that Tutto Italia is very goog, but very expensive.

For Counter Service, my favorite is Sunshine Seasons in the Land. They have a great variety of very fresh meals. I also like Yakitori House in Japan, the CS in Morocco (can't remember the name) and the Fish Shop at the UK.

It would have been Alfredos, but I would have to say Nine Dragons for TS, or Lotus Blossom Cafe or Harry Ramden's for CS. Have fun! You can't go wrong with a funnel cake, some popcorn and some red bean ice cream from China!

Of the ones that we've been to, we always enjoy the Biergarten. From the size of the waiting line at the Biergarten in November, it appears that several others like it also.

My/DH's favourite counter service in the WS is La Cantina De San Angel Inn in Mexico (Plato Combinacion... mmm!) and fav table service is Restaurant Marrakesh in Morocco. Looking foward to trying Le Cellier this time!

Just throwing another shout out there for Biergarten, fun entertainment, and a large selection of yummy, authentic German food.

Another vote for Biergarten. It's definitely the best combination of food and entertainment in Epcot. If you're thinking CS, I'd go with Morocco.

Yep, another YEAH for Biergarten. I went just a month ago and never thought I would LOVE it. I thought it wouldn't be DIFFERENT enough but I truly loved it. And I also never thought I would do the CHICKEN DANCE!!! All of my nieces and nephews did so I joined in the fun!

For counter service, I suggest Morocco.

Le Cellier, definitely. It's my favorite TS restaurant at WDW. For dinner, the filet. For lunch, the prime rib sandwich (a newly discovered favorite of mine!). And definitely ask for extra pretzel bread! It's "to die for!"

For CS at Epcot, I really like Sunshine Seasons. Lots of different choices, enough to please anyone. I got the rotisserie chicken/mashed potatoes/carrots in October - it was great! My friend got the chicken caesar salad, which was excellent. It's nice to be able to get pretty healthy food (not burgers and fries) that are such good quality.
