Hi all, there are apparently helicopter to glacier/dogsledding excursions at all 3 ports on the Alaska cruise. Has anyone done these, and are they different? Also, the Disney exclusive one in Juneau is $200/per person more expensive than the others. Is it just less crowded, or is the a ton of Disney magic to justify the expense?

Definitely book these on your own and not through Disney! We did the dog-sledding with Temsco in Skagway and the Pilot's Choice also with Temsco in Juneau. Both were fantastic! Enjoy!

I only worry going directly through the company and not Disney because you have to pay as soon as you book your excursion. They get to keep your 2000.00 (for 4 people) for months. What happens if they go out of business?? I know that is probably being paranoid but it is a concern of ours.

What are the chances of being able to book a couple weeks out from our cruise? I would not have a problem doing that but months in advance makes me nervous.....

Thanks:)
