We are on a 4 day on the dream out of PC.

Wondering what your favorite dinning rotation is and why?

All of these food threads have gotten me so hungry and excited!!
TIA

We've never requested a dining rotation. Everyone onboard will have the same opportunity to dine in the same dining rooms, with the same menus over the length of the cruise.

Oh I get that. Just wondering if having RP on the semi formal night is fun or Pirates dinner (I know it's the same menu) in Animators was cool, because...
Just wondering if there were any hidden pluses to being in a particular place at a particular time :)

Well, there's no true semi-formal night on a 4 night cruise. There's a Dress Up Optional night, however.

Animator's on Pirate night might have a slight edge, as the pictures on the walls are pirate themed that night, but there's no special show or anything (like the Crush show) in there.

We've done Pirate nights, as well as formal/dress up nights in pretty much all the different dining rooms on all the ships. I don't really find that much difference.

Thanks so much @PrincessShmoo !
That's exactly what I was wondering!!
You always have the best info

I don't have a favorite dining rotation. Whatever I get is fine with me. I seriously don't think that it really maters during the cruise.

I don't either. It just doesn't make a difference, especially since so many people show up to "dress up optional" in their regular shorts and t-shirts.

i think requests for specific rotations happened more when people did not want to be in formal wear in Parrot Cay which had a casual feel. i agree that pirate night in animator may have a tiny edge as the screens play pirate pictures but it is not worth a request.

Once we requested a rotation that puts us in a specific MDR on a particular night, but on our last two cruises we've requested a rotation that has us in our least favorite MDR the fewest nights.

never noticed that one rotation is better than another..
i just go with whatever they give us..
it always seems fine..
i'm trying to remember where we were the last time for pirates night...i can't...i know it wasn't animators, but i don't recall which of the other two..
it's all fine..

We have never cruised Disney so I was wondering how this works. Do you eat in one of the dining rooms twice?

On our 4 night Dream cruise the rotation was 1223. We ate in the same dining room on nights 2 & 3. One of those nights we had the signature menu for that dining room, the other night we had the Pirate menu.

I like to get Enchanted Palace or Royal Table twice! Animators is my least favorite. It triggers my migraines. We figure out which night is Pirate and book Palo. I love it when Animators is that Pirate night we go to Palo so we skip it! I don't care for the Pirate menu.

Palo is fabulous in our view and worth the $30 surcharge each unless you are blessed with kids. It's adults only.

I was told by a cast member that you can no longer request specific rotations.
Too bad. We wanted to request Tritons for Christmas Day on our Wonder cruise.

I wonder if you could get a special accommodation because of your migraines? My daughter has migraines and it would be awful to get one on a cruise.

Thank you. We are doing a b2b cruise starting 23rd September. We are Conceirge this time. I shall ask if they can do anything . One time before they did. Thank you for your kind reply. How awful for your daughter.

What cast member?

I would be surprised if we're not allowed to at least make the request. Often there are legitimate reasons for asking.

A cast member on the phone. She said they couldn't even tell me what the rotations are for our cruise. We are on the Dec 23,2016 Wonder.

Yeah, well, unfortunately, the CMs on the phone don't have all the answers. There are many of them who have never even been near the ships, much less have actual experience on them

If you call 3 different times, and ask 3 different CMs the same question, it's not unlikely you may get 3 (or 4) different answers

Now, it's possible that that CM can't tell you the rotations. It's possible they've not been trained to find that information. And also possible that the Wonder rotations haven't been determined yet, for after her dry dock.

Whichever one we get. I have no preference. I know that some people like to be in the more formal dining rooms for formal or semi-formal nights but I don't see or feel any difference. In fact, sometimes it's nice to dress up a little bit more for the more formal dining room and then do the actual semi-formal or formal dining nights; gives me that extra excuse to dress up. Usually I'm so involved with people at our table, or looking at people who are dressed up, that the surroundings don't really have any impact on me.
