The guy who sits next to me is asking what is his best deal for the zoo on Monday.

He is military and will get in free, his DD is 1.5 y.o so also free?

Yes, it would have been faster just to check the SD Zoo website. Wow, it has gotten so expensive! I remember the days when under 16 got in free.

Have him buy discounted tickets at ITT on base for the entire group to get a big discount. You can go to mccscp.com and look for ITT pricelist to see the military prices for San Diego area sites.

Try checking the Groupon website to see if they have some kind of a deal available.


Ask a the local public library, too. My local library owns passes for all the major tourist destinations in the area and for the state parks. If you borrow the passes, you can get in for free (you might have to reserve them way ahead of time, but it's worth asking and keeping in mind for another time)
