Inspired by the meatloaf/crockpot thread. What is the best tasting meal you have ever made in a crock pot? I would love some ideas.

Thanks!

Here is one of my favorites- It makes ALOT, so be prepared to have leftovers.

Baked Ziti

Ingredients
1 lb ground turkey
1 medium onion, chopped
2 teaspoons dried Italian seasoning
2 (16 ounce) jars pasta sauce
15 ounces ricotta cheese
1 cup parmesan cheese
1 cup mozzarella cheese
16 ounces ziti pasta

Directions
In a large skillet over medium high heat, brown ground beef and onion, stirring occasionally until browned. Add Italian seasoning and salt, mixing well. Add pasta sauce. Remove from heat, but leave in skillet.

In a medium bowl, combine ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese and 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese.

In slow cooker, add 2 cups of beef mixture into bottom of skillet and half of the noodles. Add spoonfuls of three cheese mixture on top of ziti, covering the noodles. Layer 2 more cups of beef, then remaining noodles, then cheese. Top with remaining beef mixture, ensuring cheese and pasta are covered.

Cover with lid, and cook on high for 4-5 hours or low for 6-7 hours, or until noodles are tender.

Ten minutes before serving, top with 1 cup mozzarella cheese, letting stand for ten minutes to melt.

Ohio - That recipe looks delicious. It's almost like a lasagna. I will definitely give that one a try. A few people in my family are on the picky side, but that is something everyone will eat.

Thanks for the link too. I will check it out.

A co-worker made a fabulous crockpot lasagna last week that was to die for, she didn't have a formal recipe, just broke up the noodles and layered the other ingredients as usual and cooked on low for 8 hours, it was GREAT! (She used ground sausage and ground beef and it was very tasty).

Our favorites are Kona Chicken and Chicken Cordon Bleu.

Chicken Cordon Bleu is super simple!

Pound chicken breasts flat, top with swiss cheese and ham. Roll. Place seam side down in a crock pot (sprayed w/Pam) and add a can of cream of chicken soup and 1/4 cup of milk. Cook on low for six to eight hours. We eat it with steamed rice and broccoli.

Kona Chicken

4-6 chicken breast halves - I cut them into smaller pieces so the sauce soaks in well
1/2 cup chopped green onion or 1/2 of a medium onion chopped
3-4 cloves of garlic - minced
1/2 cup soy sauce - it can be a bit salty, so you might want to use low sodium soy sauce
1/4 cup dry white wine / or water/ or white grape juice
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup honey
ground black pepper to taste

Place chicken into slow cooker. Stir together the onion, garlice, soy sauce, white wine, water, honey and pepper in a cup or small bowl. Pour over the chicken. Cover, and cook on low for 4-6 hours. Pull the chicken out and place in a serving dish. Put the liquid into a medium sauce pan. Make a slurry with a 1/2 cup of water and 2 TBS of corn starch - cook on medium heat until thickened. Serve the chicken over steamed rice and top with the thickened sauce and some green onions. Delish!
