Best Counter Service in Epcot

We like..

1. tangerine cafe- Morrocco
2. Fish n chip stand
3. Mexico has this variety platter we sometimes split and is quite good- add a layered margarita!;)

oh and the grand marnier slushie in France:rotfl:

fish and chips with a bass - always great, and grab a patio table on the lagoon too....the trip isn't complete without it!

We absolutely love the Sunshine Seasons at the Land! There's a wide variety of choices to choose from based on what you are in the mood for that day. There's also a ton of seating as well. It's a must for us at least once or twice a trip.

Electric Umbrella has the best burgers and my teen son would know because for lunch everyday he ate bacon double cheeseburgers! I had one at two places and EU was the best. They have a fixins bar and you can get as many refills as you wish. We also like Norway, France and Germany. :goodvibes

Yorkshire - best fish and chips per the sweetpea. We go there everytrip. Its her favorite.

.

To those people who like the fish and chips from the UK please come to the UK and eat REAL fish and chips! Epcot's efforts are awful, hubby refused to eat them and as a fish ahter the chips weren't the best either.

As an English person who has been in the states now for 2 decades, I have to agree. The fish and chips at Epcot are okay, but certainly not as a good as the real thing.

I put my vote in for Tangerine Cafe in Morocco. Great interesting food for adults and regular fare for our Disney kids age 11-5year. We also love to drink are way around the World Showcase. Using the Disney transportation there is no drinking and driving, only driving the kid's stroller.

Well, this trip we're planning on a short walk to the Beach Club and eating lunch at Beaches & Cream. We have not had good experiences at Sunshine Seasons, and most of the WS CS places are outdoor seating only. Since it's going to be HOT (June), we want some AC!! We've wanted to try Beaches & Cream for awhile.

Sunshine Seasons has a wide selection of food, but nothing that struck us as outstanding. The rotisserie chicken was very fatty and inedible.

Isn't that interesting? I went in October, and Sunshine Seasons was (by far) my favorite. I had the rotisserie chicken/mashed potatoes/carrots, and it was one of my very best CS meals that week! My friend had the chicken caesar salad, and said it was very good. I like Sunshine Seasons because of the great variety of food (something for everyone), good quality food, and speedy service.

Second choice at Epcot is the fish and chips window in England. But that's all they serve - fish and chips.

Just goes to show that the same restaurant can provide totally different dining experiences for people!

It's funnier than you know, because I was there in October too. :rotfl:

We went on October 1st, maybe they were overwhelmed with it being the 25th anniversary. We went right away when they opened and it was disgusting. Maybe it has more to do with time of day?

Gosh, it's so hard to pick just one! We love, love, love our Epcot day because we don't have to stress and worry about ADRs. The counter services places are generally really good.

The CS at Norway is great. Lots of sweets (lefsa and school bread), but the sandwiches are awesome, too. Don't forget to grab a Carlsberg if you're drinking around the world!

We also enjoy the CS at Germany. Sometimes we share a brat; sometimes we share a pretzel. The seasonal beer has always been a hit, too.

Tangerine Cafe in Morocco is the gem, tho. The sandwiches are great, as are the platters. We usually opt for a sandwich since they're small and we're stuffed by then from sampling in Norway and Germany, but the platters are delicious, and you can get a bit more variety (couscous, hummus, tabouli, olives).

That's usually about it for us. We've tried the fish & chips in the UK, and we weren't impressed at all. I think we can get better at our local Long John Silvers. We're confectioned sugared out by the time we hit France (we love the sweets in Norway). I don't think Canada really has a CS, do they? I know we grab a Moosehead, but I don't recall there being any food options to go with the beer. And that's a real shame. Canada is becoming a huge foodie destination (in real life; not LeCellier), and I'm surprised they don't have a little CS area.

I've always been a little curious about that food court by The Land and Soarin. I'm not sure of the name of it. I don't know, tho. It really just looks like a food court which I can get at home at the mall.

The options for CS at Epcot are awesome :thumbsup2

The DH and I really liked the CS place in Mexico. It was really good! We plan on eating there again next trip!

I didn't get a chance to try Sunshine Seasons last time. We went in there twice to try it and both times there was a smell in the food court area that just turned both of us off. My guess is it's just the combination of all the food they make there mixing but it really made the food unappealing to both of us.

Tangerine Cafe, on the other hand, was absolutely fantastic. We loved the schwarma platter. It actually was more flavorful and better than most of our TS's. If I could, I would order just a giant plate of taboulleh from there. (I will warn the taboulleh purists that there isn't nearly as much grain as there is greens. However, the small greek shops in my hometown always made it with more parsley than bulgar wheat so I grew up loving it that way.)

Tangerine Cafe, on the other hand, was absolutely fantastic.

We liked it so much I finally convinced my wife to try Marrakesh in a couple of weeks. Really looking forward to it. It's the last restaurant in Epcot that we haven't eaten at.
