Best counter service in all four parks

MK - Sleepy Hollow for outdoors, Columbia HH for indoors and air conditioning.
AK - Tamu Tamu - a hidden gem with atypical fare and Dole Whips.
EP - Sunshine Seasons is not an ordinary cafeteria. Pastry in France (OK, start with bread and cheese to call it a meal).
HS - go someplace else. Even on this Thread, there appears to be consensus of HS lacking quality food options. But we do enjoy the fresh margarita's from 50's Prime Time Lounge.

Boardwalk - Nachos and cold beer at ESPN.
Downtown Disney - Ghiradelli for ice cream.

MK-Columbia Harbor House
Epcot-La catina
Ak-Flame tree but since its under refurb I would seek out one of the kiosks serving their food or yak n yeti
HS-Catalina Eddies

Hmmm, best/favorite QS eateries?
In our opinion . . .

Parks:
. . . EP: Sunshine Seasons
. . . MK: Columbia Harbour House (BoG a close second)
. . . AK: Flame Tree (good ribs)
. . . HS: Backlot Epress
. . . BB: Lottawatta Lodge
. . . TL: Typhoon Tilly's
. . . DTD: Earl of Sandwich
Resorts:
. . . DELUXE: Capt Cook's at Poly
. . . MODERTE: Sassagoula Flatworks at POFQ
. . . VALUE: Landscapes of Flavor at AoA
. . . DVC: Artist Pallette at SSR

Most of my favorites have been covered, but I will say HS isn't memorable for food, but in my experience it's not *bad*. We get perfectly tasty sandwiches, salads and burgers at ABC commissary most trips. Their Halloween cupcake in Oct was delicious. It's typical fast food options and nothing I'm going to drive to Florida just to eat there, but we enjoyed our lunches just fine.

MK - tortuga tavern.
EPCOT- sunshine seasons
HS- Backlog express
AK- yak & Yeti

MK - Sleepy Hollow for outdoors, Columbia HH for indoors and air conditioning.
AK - Tamu Tamu - a hidden gem with atypical fare and Dole Whips.

Flame Tree gets the appropriate love, but you are spot on with Tamu Tamu being a hidden gem. They have some nice curries available and.......Dole Whips with coconut rum?!? Yes please!

Question:
Why do so many people answer "None" for DHS and "Flame Tree" for AK? Have you people never been to Fairfax Fare at DHS? It's the same food!

Fairfax Fare...........

  • 1/2 Chicken - served with Baked Beans and Coleslaw - $9.99
1/2 Slab of Spareribs - served with Baked Beans and Coleslaw - $11.69
Barbecued Pork and Coleslaw Gourmet Hot Dog - served with Chips - $8.59
Barbecued Pork Sandwich - served with Baked Beans and Coleslaw - $9.49
Chicken and Spareribs - served with Baked Beans and Coleslaw - $15.19
Flame Tree.............

  • 1/2 Chicken - Marinated, Slow-smoked Chicken, served with our signature Baked Beans and tangy Coleslaw - $10.99
1/2 Slab of St. Louis Ribs - Our delicious Ribs, smoked in-house, and topped with our Trademark Barbecue Sauce. Accompanied by our special-recipe slowly baked Beans and refreshing Coleslaw - $12.99
Pork Sandwich - Layers of delicious, smoked, pulled Pork piled high in a fresh, soft Bun, served with refreshing Coleslaw - $9.49
Ribs and Chicken Combo - The best of both worlds; Ribs and Chicken, direct from our Kitchen's Smokehouse. This special combination platter is served with our homemade baked Beans and Coleslaw - $16.19
It's not as if the food at Flame Tree is flown in from some world famous BBQ joint in Memphis and the Fairfax Fare food is prepared at a prison. It's all coming from the same place.

:jumping1: I literally lol'ed at this.

Yeah, I don't really get all the bashing of DHS counter service. i think the sandwiches at Starring Rolls and Backlot Express are quite impressive. But everybody has their own opinion which is what makes the world so great. :flower3: My favorites are:
MK- Columbia Harbor House and Sleepy Hollow (chicken waffle sandwich Yum!)
EP- Sunshine Seasons (great variety)
AK-another vote for Flame Tree
DHS-the above mentioned Starring Rolls.

oh and to the OP-:welcome:

While totally correct, I think a big part in this discrepancy is the seating location for each place. Flame Tree has an amazing seating area, esp. compared to the Fairfax Fare area at DHS. I feel the whole Flame Tree "experience" makes the food there seems that much better. :confused3
