Hi

We're looking to go to Disney the week of March 30th with both my parents and in laws. Our kids will be 4 and 2. Trying to choose btw Wilderness Lodge and Contemporary. We've never stayed at either. I was hoping to stay at one on the monorail route, but my hubby wants one with more of a theme. Which do you prefer and why? Any tips would be o helpful! Thx

We've never stayed at the CR, but we have had two great stays at the WL and we love it for the following reasons:

- the resort and grounds are beautiful
- Roaring Forks is great for quick CS meals/snacks
- the pool is fun
- there is a geyser behind the pool that goes off every hour that the kids might enjoy
- the bus transportation is very good (IMO)
- the boat is great for going to MK as well as to the CR for a variety of dining and shopping options
- the lobby is a great place to relax and take in the gorgeous atmosphere

I would choose the WL for the theme/decor, but I don't think you could go wrong with either one. Good luck and happy planning :wizard:.

the CR rooms are much bigger. Especially if you only want one room - would go with 2 rooms - but at CR you could get by with one room.

You can walk to the MK!!!! With your age children this is a big plus.

Mickey Mouse is the theme at CR and believe me he is all over the place.

Make sure before you go that your children are familiar with all the Disney characters - then they are little less scared.

the monorail going thru the hotel is enough to get most kids to love this place.

My opinion, even though we've stayed at CR multiple times I would recommend a two bedroom villa at WL.
