Best children's meals?

Good point, SeptBaby....

Ok, we have no food allergies.

What she likes: Kimchi, kalbi, miso soup, broccoli stirfry anything, sweet potato anything, green beans, asparagus, edamame, sushi, fish anything, noodle anything...... those are her favorites.

She's not so crazy about tofu yet, and is *very* suspicious of onion & red pepper (flavor is fine but the texture is not). She won't reject anything with those items but the offending bits have to be REMOVED.

We have tried several times to feed her chicken nuggets and french fries and she doesn't like them! She pretty much hates anything deep fried. (I am starting to wonder if this is weird....)

Technically - you really only have a pool of CS credits on your account. They aren't tagged as "child" or "adult".

Not flaming you, but this isn't technically or actually quite right. DP guests must use child CS credits for child meals.

Oooh.... now THAT has me excited. Is there a post on this? Because it seems that we are not the only parent who is a bit annoyed by the monotony of the children's CS meals.

Just one more question. Is there any switching the fruits/side that come with the child's meals? It seems from reading allears that it's grapes & applesauce for everything. Could we ask for a veggie instead, or a different fruit? (I'm betting the answer would be no, but it's worth asking?).

Alright, I'm going to take a stab at this for CS only as that seems to be your concern and we've already beat a dead horse for those TS options:

Essentially you've listed that she likes vegetables, pasta, rice and non fried fish. You did't list pizza, is that an option?

1. Epcot - Sunshine Seasons, you should be able to get veggies and rice instead of chicken for the kids meal, but the chicken may be OK as it isn't "fried" or breaded

2. Epcot - Japan CS

3. Epcot - Cantina San Angel doesn't seem to have a childs menu so you can order her any meal

4. MK - Columbia Harbor House or Cosmic Ray's salad with chicken, could be ordered w/o chicken

5. MK - Main Street Bakery doesn't have the Child menu, we loved the Basil Mozzerella sandwich, she ma like this too.

6. AK - Pizzafari, spaghetti, probably could get it w/o sauce if needed

Resort CS will lots of options and you won't know those until you stand in front of the case and choose.

SeptBaby - thank you for those MK tips! I missed the salad on the kid's menu. DD should like it. (and if she doesn't, I will :)

I will also take a good look at Main St Bakery when we get to MK. I didn't realize that they served sandwiches as well as sweet pastries.

Thank you everyone, again - I don't mean to groan and moan, we are very excited about our trip, just trying to get the most out of that Dining Plan.

She sounds like my daughter when she was little! Won't eat hotdogs, hamburgers, french fries..chicken nugget (that's One) if she is starved! She's fourteen now but we've been going to Disney for years. I asked what she would recommend and here it is. MK: Cosmic Rays chicken noodle soup, Plaza restaurant chicken strips on a stick with rice. that's it, nothing else gets a nod. Epcot: nirvana for her especially during Food and Wine (ok no wine for her!) Anything from world showcase except USA(!) Loves the Sunshine Season at the Land-lots of choices. AK: Tusker House...used to be counter service, she's still in love, Yak and Yeti noodles. DHS: a sad place for anyone looking for counter service, she had nothing nice to say except Starring Rolls bakery if you're there for breakfast. Her favorite restaurants at Disney are Cali Grill at Contemporary Resort and Bisto in Epcots France. My little foodie!

*groan*. Ok. We're doing Cosmic Rays & Columbia (that's MK days 1 and 2). We'll wing it on the 3rd day..... I'm hoping that Main St Bakery will have some nice sandwiches.

Or maybe the Disney magic will strike, and she'll want to go to Epcot for the third day instead of MK!!!!!

Please tell your daughter, her recommendations are very much appreciated. And I am so glad to hear that there are lots of foodie-babies out there.

So really, Disney can't possibly designate specific "Children's CS meals" on the DDP, because not every CS place HAS a child's meal. Am I understanding that correctly? CS is CS - but if they see the kid ordering, they need to order from kids' choices if they have some?

So...ordered separately, since we have 3 adults, one child, there's nothing to stop us from ordering regular food for her?

I have on my flame-retardant suit. Between food allergies and unhealthy, unflavourful selection, I know I can do fine at TS, but at CS, I need to make sure she can eat.

I'm looking at the DDP brochure, and it shows an example of a slip of paper with points allowed and points redeemed on it - clearly showing children's credits - both table and counter service.

If that's correct, and it is apparent, then the only "loophole" is finding CS restaurants in the world without children's menus. Yes?
