what is the best, fastest & most of all CHEAPEST way to get from the orlando airport to a Disney Resort? (2 people)

If you try to post over on the Transportation board you may get more replies...

However, I think the cheapest way is either Mears Shuttle (which gets VERY mixed reviews) or simply taking a taxi one-way to the hotel. A town car is another option, and it usually runs around $90-$100 before tip (some more some less).

Hope this helps!

Mears Shuttle would be the cheapest at $29 round trip for each person, so about $58 plus the small tip to the driver if he handles any bags.

It is NOT the fastest! It can take anywhere from 40 mins to 2 hours (some have said it took longer). On average it has taken us about 60-75 mins including wait time at MCO and other drop offs at Resorts. Last Feb it took about 40 mins to get a van - we were the first to be dropped off so it took about 90 mins total, maybe a little less.

A Town Car - depending on the Co it might cost 2 about $30+ more.

If you really want cheap then I think it would be Mears, but I don't think you'll find cheap and fast go together getting from MCO to a Disney Resort!

Check out the Transportation Board. A lot of folks on these boards do not like Mears - and for a family a Limo or Town car makes sense.

Good Luck!

Well, it depends.

IMO, for 2 people, town car service makes the most sense. It is about the same as a cab (90-95, make sure you print out the coupons), but cleaner, no lines/waiting, and much faster than Mears shuttle which can make a lot of stops and take FOREVER. Look at the transportation boards for specifics.

You may also want to check rental car rates - if you can get a deal, that can be the cheapest way to go for a short trip - the last time I was down, I got a car for $19 a day including tax, so it was the cheapest option even looking at gas/tolls. (Of course, I stayed on-site and didn't have to worry about parking costs.)

My sister is on a tight budget and we have researched like crazy-- get the MEARS coupon and I think that is the best bet for you

We use a town car...but we ae 2A and 2C. I believe along with everyone else, Mears is the cheapest for 2A, but not the fastest. We like the town car, and have used Happy, but I think next trip we will be trying some one else.

Someone posted a similar question a few months ago.
Well, the BEST and FASTEST is without question a town car. The driver is waiting for you in the baggage claim area and takes you directly to your resort (unless you want a grocery stop along the way).
The CHEAPEST is Mears, which is also probably the worst way to get to your resort.
Bottom line is you can't have it both ways. Mears will save you money but may give you a headache (among other problems you may or may not endure if you use them).
We used Mears only once on our first family trip and will never do so again. The extra few dollars for a great town car is worth it (IMHO).

I agree with 2vets - if you are only staying for a couple days, a rental car would be the cheapest, and would almost be as fast as a town car.

Mears would certainly be the cheapest.

A town car or cab would be the quickest. If you are going to/from the airport at off hours a cab would be less than town car - during rush hour the town car is probably cheaper.
