What beach would you say is a do not miss in Bermuda?

We are headed there on a cruise & would like some recommendations for some beach time.....TIApirate:

We're cruising there in two weeks! :goodvibes It will be my second time there.

My favorite is Tobacco Bay in St. Georges Parish. Great for snorkeling. Most people say that Horseshoe Bay is the best, but it can get crowded. Elbow Beach is another good one. If you're not on Cruise Critic, it's a great resource for cruisers with lots of Bermuda info.

Have fun!

I vacationed in Bermuda just once...it was Easter break...we all stayed at ELBOW BEACH...
it was fabulous!!! :beach:

Just got back today from a cruise to Bermuda. Everyone in our party agreed Horseshoe Bay Beach was the best. It can be crowded but if you go to the left it will thin out--you'll see when you get there.

Also, we took a walking path from Horseshoe to Jobson's Cove--absolutely amazing! We were the only ones there and the water was beautiful.

Maps did you take an excursion or is it easy to get a taxi back & forth to Horseshoe? What ship were you on?

I surprised my DH for his BD in '05 with a RCCL Bermuda cruise out of Baltimore. We had a wonderful time! You will dock at Kings Wharf and the closest beach is Snorkle Park, which lots of cruisers walk too, as it beautiful, but not the best beach. All their beaches are beautiful, but Horseshoe Bay is known to be one of the best. :goodvibes

The island is appx 30 miles long, we took a ferry from ship to opposite end of island @St Georges, went to visitors center for info and did a bus tour all through the island. Warning, their bus driver are on the wild side driving, you'll also see lots of islanders traveling by scooters. We spent an enjoyable day at the beautiful Horseshoe Bay and hitched a bus back.

They are known for the infamous Rum Swizzlers, so you might get a kick out of a visit to their 1932 Pub for lunch or a drink. I agree with Cruise Critic for lots of info, also youtube has the top 10 beaches. Sorry, it's been a few years, so I only have a couple pix (where we docked) downloaded, but you get the idea.

Have fun ~ Bermuda is British, has a very affluent economy and is one of the most pristine islands, the island is very clean and we felt safe where ever we went, the people are very friendly. :goodvibes

Speaking of Rum Swizzles I just made a couple liters of swizzles and have them down in the refrigerator. This is the recipe from the Princess Hotel so, like everything else Princess, they are pink (recipe includes some granadine). YUM!

Horseshoe Bay! We went there two years ago on a cruise and it was wonderful. Like the previous poster said, go left down on the beach after you get there. It is a stunning beach! Pictures don't do it justice.

I am so jealous, next to WDW, Bermuda is my favorite place in the world. Last time we went we did the cruise thing (I hated it) and we agreed that we would rather spend the cruising time ON Bermuda than on the ship so for our fourth trip we will go back to air/hotel.

The people are wonderful. The ferry/bus system is great. Yes, it is expensive but it's an amazing place.

Horseshoe Bay is a great beach to spend the day! :thumbsup2 We also use the buses to get to the beach and back.

They're all great! Pink Sand, blue water...not Jersey beaches for darn sure! Have a great time and a drink for me! Sorry I am no help I was there many moons ago when I was about 11. All I remember is the pool where we stayed was in some type bubble.

OK, babble over! ;)
