I surprised my DH for his BD in '05 with a
RCCL Bermuda cruise out of Baltimore. We had a wonderful time! You will dock at Kings Wharf and the closest beach is Snorkle Park, which lots of cruisers walk too, as it beautiful, but not the best beach. All their beaches are beautiful, but Horseshoe Bay is known to be one of the best.
The island is appx 30 miles long, we took a ferry from ship to opposite end of island @St Georges, went to visitors center for info and did a bus tour all through the island. Warning, their bus driver are on the wild side driving, you'll also see lots of islanders traveling by scooters. We spent an enjoyable day at the beautiful Horseshoe Bay and hitched a bus back.
They are known for the infamous Rum Swizzlers, so you might get a kick out of a visit to their 1932 Pub for lunch or a drink. I agree with Cruise Critic for lots of info, also
youtube has the top 10 beaches. Sorry, it's been a few years, so I only have a couple pix (where we docked) downloaded, but you get the idea.
Have fun ~ Bermuda is British, has a very affluent economy and is one of the most pristine islands, the island is very clean and we felt safe where ever we went, the people are very friendly.
