I don't have a real Christmas/Holiday tree and really miss the wonderful scent. Know of a candle, tart, spray...anything, that smells much like the real thing?

If you have a fake tree, we have these things called Scentsicles that you hang in your artificial tree. They are like little air fresheners, they have Fir, Pine, Spruce and a couple others. They work great for us. I got them at Michael's but I've seen them around.

*just looked at the prices in their store. I paid about $4 for a bottle, not $8.99 so I would definitely recommend finding them elsewhere.

the glade green ones are good. My favorite is Christmas Wreath from Yankee Candle

I got the Pier One Holiday Forest oil diffuser and LOVE it!!

I saw them in Walmart last week, but didn't look at the price, I got some on ebay last year for $5, and they still smell just as strong as they did last season

We bought some scentsicles this week and were so excited - put them all on our 9ft tree and wound up taking them all off! They gave us a headache and were very overpowering...

I think i'd opt for a candle.

The directions say to start with 3 or 4 and as those get weaker to add one or two more as needed. I certainly wouldn't put them all up at once, they are pretty strong. One pack will last you two years if your tree isn't up all month.

I bought the pine scented Scentcicles and I'm impressed with them. I only have 3 on my tree right now, so they're not overpowering.

My favorite is the fir scent from Scentsicles.

Or whatever scent this guy favors.

I wouldn't use or spray anything fake. I would buy a real wreath and hang it in the house. They smell very nice.

We too put 2 on our 9 ft tree last weekend and at first it was too overpowering. I'm sensitive to smells and it brought on a headache. However I've noticed that they either wear off quickly or I adjusted to it very fast as I can't smell anything. I'm thinking I might need to put a new one on the tree every few days.

Well, I failed. Last night I bought (actually stocked up) on some tarts by Yankee Candle. I thought they had a pretty good smell. Found them in the trash this morning. DH said the room smelled like a toilet bowl that had been scrubbed with a pine cleaner. :( I think the poster above may be right...get a *real* wreath and hang. Thanks everybody!

ETA: Couldn't find Scentsicles but won't give up.

Sounds like something my husband would say! :)

I think I must buy the wrong kind of greenery. Whenever I buy fresh around here I can't really smell it. What kind of evergreens give off a great scent?
