The dates are always the second Thursday in May and the second Thursday in October. It is alot of fun. Wish I could have met you there. :cool1:

DisneyDad - I'm sorry for my part in getting this thread "in trouble". I had no idea there were rules for straying off topic. I am subscribed, and will follow wherever you may go :thumbsup2 I really enjoy the trip reports and your great family. Can't wait for the next installment !!!

Had I known about that in advance, I'd have definitely been there and we could have had a DIS meet, darn, well maybe next spring!!!!

Oooooooooooo....that sounds really great!:thumbsup2 Maybe we can have a DISmeet there next year!

OK you win........:laundy: Anyone who works outside the home and hauls their kids to lessons, etc, etc deserves :worship: :worship: :worship:

Where were you? I want to know...you were so excited.......

(In my best impression of Glum....for those of you who remember who Glum is....)
It's gonna get us in trouble ...I just know it....

You were fine, but the music kept us up all night! Did you hear it?!?!?

(There is a music and art festival down the street.)

I'll make sure he doesn't forget QM!!!!

Awww....so awful........
someone once told me after their child died that every tear other people shed allowed them to shed one less....

That's a sweeet thought Disneymom, I hope it's true because maybe we have all helped them through this and took away some of their tears!

Good morning everyone!

Good evening Sarah!!! First time I got on today, was just puttering around, doing :laundy: downloading pictures :surfweb: filling out an employment application, updating my resume and updating Sharky's. So I kept myself reasonably busy today. How was your day?

Hey Kiddo's ....

I just got the Official Word!!!

We are Moving to the Community Boards!!!!

The Thread will stay intact!!!

I am not sure if you will have to Re-sub or Not...But I hope all will Follow!!!

I Will be out for a While ...But then I will be on later today!!

See Ya!!!

& we are not in trouble....Just Moving...so We can continue to Chat & stuff Like That!!

See Ya

Patrick

:cool1:

Hey Disneydad. I don't care where you go, I'll be right behind you. I don't think we have to re subscribe as when you moved to the TR section I didn't have to resub. So let's hope not but if we do, it's no biggie, we'll all be there! I know I will! I love the updates and pictures but I still like our chatting and goofing.

Hi everyone.
We have come to a mutual agreement that this thread be better suited for the Community Board. Yes it is a Trip Report about WDW, but it contains many more topics and conversations between a great group of friends.

So the OP has decided he wants to keep his thread intact and continue on in the Community Board where all topics of everything and anything, along with with his WDW trip report will be discussed.

OhMari

Thanks OMari, we all want to stay together and keep this thread in tact as we have all become very close friends, more like family! Thanks for helping us keep together!

Not a whole lot today. Ran some errands. Tomorrow Belle has an audition with the Royal Winnappeg Ballet. It is our national ballet school. She won't get in this year as it is her first year auditioning but it is what she wants to do in the end. We'll see. I don't think I'll ever be able to ship her off to live on the other side of the country by herself.

Good One:rotfl2:

That is so exciting for Belle. How old is she? If she gets in, she has to live there???

She's almost 11. And yes, if she gets in she lives at the Ballet in Winnipeg.

She won't get in this year or next year but if things keep going they way they are she may get in after that. I don't think I could let her go though. She's mine and I'm not done with her!

The one thing she has going for her and the only reason she may get in one day is just her body. She is put together the right way. Her body is the right shape and her neck is the desired length, her hips turn out the right way, etc. Her teacher says even her feet are put on the right way for a ballerina.

This whole thing is new to me and totally foreign to me and scares me more then a bit. She really wants to be a dancer but I don't the Royal Winnipeg is the right way for our family. If we ever get to the point of her going then we'd have to move there - there is no way I'd let her board and my husband's job wouldn't be able to move with him so.....

I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

Well good luck and hope it all works out the way it is meant to and is good for everyone. She must be quite the little dancer. That's fantastic!

Wow...sounds like she is perfect to be ballerina.

Very exciting, but scary at the same time I am sure.

I could never let my child move away from home at that age....

Do, they have a school they go to there, or do they get academic tutors??

The "Middle Wife" by an Anonymous 2nd grade teacher

I've been teaching now for about fifteen years. I have two kids myself, but the best birth story I know is the one I saw in my own second-grade classroom a few years back.

When I was a kid, I loved show-and-tell. So I always have a few sessions with my students. It helps them get over shyness and usually, show-and-tell is pretty tame. Kids bring in pet turtles, model airplanes, pictures of fish they catch, stuff like that. And I never, ever place any boundaries or limitations on them. If they want to lug it in to school and talk about it, they're welcome.

Well, one day this little girl, Erica, a very bright, very outgoing kid, takes her turn and waddles up to the front of the class with a pillow stuffed under her sweater.

She holds up a snapshot of an infant. "This is Luke, my baby brother, and I'm going to tell you about his birthday."

"First, Mom and Dad made him as a symbol of their love, and then Dad put a seed in my Mom's stomach, and Luke grew in there. He ate for nine months through an umbrella cord."

She's standing there with her hands on the pillow, and I'm trying not to laugh and wishing I had my camcorder with me. The kids are watching her in amazement.

"Then, about two Saturdays ago, my Mom starts saying and going, 'Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh!' Erica puts a hand behind her back and groans. "She walked around the house for, like an hour, 'Oh, oh, oh!' Now this kid is doing a hysterical duck walk and groaning.

"My Dad called the middle wife. She delivers babies, but she doesn't have a sign on the car like the Domino's man. They got my Mom to lie down in bed like this." Then Erica lies down with her back against the wall.

"And then, pop! My Mom had this bag of water she kept in there in case he got thirsty, and it just blew up and spilled all over the bed, like psshhheew!" This kid has her legs spread with her little hands miming water flowing away. It was too much!

"Then the middle wife starts saying 'push, push,' and 'breathe, breathe. They started counting, but never even got past ten. Then, all of a sudden, out comes my brother. He was covered in yucky stuff that they all said it was from Mom's play-center, so there must be a lot of toys inside there."

Then Erica stood up, took a big theatrical bow and returned to her seat. I'm sure I applauded the loudest. Ever since then, when it's show-and-tell day, I bring my camcorder, just in case another "Middle Wife" comes along.

Live every day as if it is your LAST chance to make someone happy!

DisneyDad had another football playdate today--after he got the thread squared away, he has watched football non-stop with his buddy....well except when they were grilling out.......then they were listening to football!

Glad I was quiet. I must have been really tired, as I didn't hear that music;)

That is great what someone told you about shedding tears:goodvibes

Thanks--the person that told me that is a great lady--very sweet and serene--

Hey Sharky!

Where has the Disneygang been? THey haven't been on much. :confused3

See above:goodvibes

Don't get too far ahead of yourself......sometimes things just work themselves out---it is just so cool that she is who she is and knows what she wants so early! It makes her very special and means you have done well guiding her.
