Woohoooo 14 days!!! party: :jumping1:

Tat2ddisneymom: One of my co-workers has/had the exact same medical issue you have. She had surgery done with the tube thingy that goes to your stomach, but they put the tube in her brain and it runs to her stomach. It seems to have helped her a lot. She still gets headaches every once and awhile, but they're not as horrible as they were before. They've had to adjust her valve/pump thingy on the tube to open it more so more fluid can flow out, but I don't know exactly what they do or how. I hope you're feeling better though. :goodvibes

Laser show is GREAT--there's a cool part where the horses in the sculpture "ride" off the side of the mountain while Elvis sings "Battle Hymn of the Republic"...it gives me goosebumps every time! And everyone always cheers...:thumbsup2

Cable car beats walking these days!!!!!!!!!:woohoo:

They are pretty distraught---Drew didn't want to go at all!
However the boy in the pic lives in FL and he and his family may:idea: ... (cross all your parts)....meet us at Disney one of the days we are there!!! I hope, i hope, i hope!:cool1:

That sounds so incredible. I would love to see that some day!!

aww...poor Drew......

I will be crossing everything that he and his family make it down on one of the days you are at disney:thumbsup2

That's what BFFs are for---yes I did give myself a new tag...thanks for noticin'.:eeyore:

:thumbsup2

Anytime:hug:

Did Disneydad do something to his hand?

You are very observant. I must be slipping as I didn't even notice that.. I just had to go back and look.

Is he okay disneymom??

Kinda....How are you feeling?? Are you okay now??

DisneyDad had some cuts on his hand--he scrapes his knuckles all the time , and he put up a new fan in our bedroom--and he had bandaids all over his hands--when you sweat bandaids don't stay on--so he kept hitting them--and as the marblema'am so aptly put it--the first aid people were really bored-- and made it look like he almost lost his hand!
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

:thumbsup2

Another message from DisneyDad---
If you come out to Yellow Daisy and don't see him at the Marbleman's booth-- ask for him. (His name is Patrick if you don't already know.) He might be walking around taking a break or something.

Is anyone thinking about going out?

:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

It does look like he had a near-amputaion moment there in the pic. Glad to hear it isn't quite what it looks like! :thumbsup2

Tell him it scared me though!

Get a lot of rest and take it easy. Don't overdo yourself... You want to be nice and healthy for your trip:hug:

For anyone on here, who knows the story of

ALLISON!!!!

Here ya go:

036_36.jpg

:rotfl2:

yeah, sounds very normal...NOT!!! :rotfl: **grumbles under breath** silly doctor.

you want a tattoo? You can always go and visit Hart & Huntington @ City Walk in orlando :thumbsup2 DH wants to get a tattoo done by them while we're down there.

I want one on the top of my foot too. If you want it badly enough you will decide to wear closed shoes to cover it when you need to and only show it off when it's appropriate. That's what I do with mine on my legs.

The problem is I LOVE SHOES too much! I want something very tiny. And where I want it is on my left foot on the lower left quadrant, near my anklebone (does that make sense?)
wait a sec...I googled it.
981.jpg

this is the best pic I could find...but that's about where I would want it.
So regular pumps wouldn't even cover it up.

tattoos are addictive. I only have 2 right now. I kind of want another one...but I'm not convinced I really want it yet. I don't crave it like I did the other two so with me, I might end up with just two. Miami Ink is awesome. I don't like Kat's show because she's copying Miami Ink after doggin' them so much. But I do like her tattoos.

I LOVE Miami Ink. My dad works with a guy who had his tattoo filled in/colored by Ami...but I don't think he was on tv.

I think Kat does some amazing portraits. But I just heard about her show this week from someone at work. I might catch an episode to see if hers is any different than Miami Ink.

DisneyMom you're doing great!!!:thumbsup2
Hi to all and so sorry for all of you out there w/ the bad Dr stories!! There's some quacks out there all right and then there are some very good ones. I've got to ssay DS5 has some of the BESt in the world!! Especially those he uses at Texas Childrens Hospital!!!!:thumbsup2
But....back to those stories of the Diagnosis and then NO it's this and Oh it was that caused by this:confused3 Looks like the boys didn't have strep. Yep the boys. I had to pick up DS7 from school Tues right after we got back from the DR w/ DS5. After looking at DS7 and saying well the strep test came back neg but we will send if off for culture, since we're pretty sure B has got strep I'm sure that's what T has also. Then I say Doc would you mind looking at B also. He's come down w/ a rash and it doesn't look like strep rash. She looks at him and then in his mouth again. She then calls the nurse over and they both say:eek: Looks like hand foot and mouth. Sooooo both boys home from school all week and I'm about to go CRA-ZY. I wanted EVERYTHING clean by to day. I was origanally planning a garage sale for this w/end and then packing everything up next week. Now the house is more of a wreck than before. And Nope No Way for the garage sale (I was hoping to use it to buy some of those needful things for WDW since we won't get our expense check till the night before or the day of our trip:eek: !!)
Oh Well on the bright side, Mon I bought 2 diff pack of iron ons with patches. One set is Mickey and the other is CARS. They were half off!:yay: Then DH found 1 and only 1 Mickey patch at Hobby Lobby today on clearance!!:yay:
We cross our calender off each night and put up stickers so we've already crossedit off.......We've got 10 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :woohoo:

girl I sure hope that clears up soon!! Come give us an update on how they are doing.

Here We Go Again!!!!!!!!!!

IN JUST 16 DAYS..........

Drew will say...

Hey Dad...why do we have to ride these

danged flying elephants?!?!?!?!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

:wizard:

love it! :lmao:

I will. I gotta wait until I get back to work so I can afford one again. I only have like $1000 invested in my body art, so I'm not going overboard...yet I don't think. No - no train track. Already got the tracks, just need the choo choo. I'm getting a vine on my foot. I want something that wraps around my ankle, goes down the middle of my foot, and then around the middle toe. But I don't exactly have the prettiest feet in the world, so I'm not sure I'd show it off much.

It sounds cool...and PAINFUL.

I hate my feet. They are so small and wide, and my toes are so small. You're not alone.

I know you asked me yesterday what the tattoo on my forearm is of, so I got a picture of it for ya. Not the best pic in the world, cause I had to take it left handed, so I didn't fit the whole thing in. But this is what it looks like:

newpics-2.jpg

And this is the destroyed one on my back. Sorry about the blurryness, but its kinda hard to take a picture of your own back. It's not as bad as I thought it was, of course the last time I looked at it, there were still staples in it. It seems to have healed a bit better, but its still messed up:
newpics059-1.jpg

I love the colors!

I am with Leger, I don't think it looks that bad. But I can understand you being upset. Did the doc give you a discount for messing up that tattoo?

here is a funny bit of info for you:

3 weeks after my dh and I got together....when we were boyfriend and girlfriend, he picks me up from work and has this huge grin on his face and I am like what??

He gives me a keychain with a tatoo parlor name on it..I am like..Okay, what does this mean??

I look over at his shoulder and it has a bandage on it..

You guessed it...He knew at 3 weeks that I was the one and had my name tattoeed on him....

oh wow....that's crazy! It's a good thing you felt the same way...imagine if you were trying to think of a way to break up with him and he did that. Boy, that woulda made it hard! :rotfl2:

OK tonight a mini trip report from Stone Mountain and the Yellow Daisy Fest!

The Marbleman booth.....

2007-9-7yellowdaisy002.jpg

Hey DisneyDad--I'm taking your pic!!!!!!!!

Yeah....I'm talking to you!!!!!!!!!!!
2007-9-7yellowdaisy007.jpg

And I guess I should add a pic of the mountain!

9-2004YellowDaisy009.jpg

BTW...they have a laser show...that's why all the people are sitting around...waiting for the sun to go down!:wizard:

And some friends from years past...neither of whom came this year :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

9-2004YellowDaisy046.jpg

That looks fun! That mountain is very....flat!

AND NOW THE MOMENT YOU'VE BEEN WAITING FOR...............

2007-9-7yellowdaisy013.jpg

IN JUST 15 DAYS........

2007-9-7yellowdaisy014.jpg

need some more of this? pixiedust: pixiedust:

it worried me a bit too!

disneymom - great job again on the countdown. ill be llucky to even get to ride ToT once...hopefully i will be able to meet up with Tat2 so she can be my riding partner since DH doesn't like thrill rides.
I also like the pictures from the festival. I will for sure look for disneydad there next year if i get to go. but hopefully by then we'll have already had our dis quilting meet and ill know who yall are :thumbsup2

cheri - i understand your dismay about the tattoo you want not being able to cover it up with pumps. like i said, if you want it badly enough you will find a way to cover it up. does your job frown that much at tattoos that even a small one like that would make a differance!? i think it would be totally cute!

Well...I'm not really sure. I just want to be taken seriously....I plan on moving up into a position of authority some time in the future. I know it sounds silly but I don't know if a tattoo would be a hindrance...even a small one.

i can understand that but I highly doubt (IMHO) that a small tattoo would hinder you in a position of authority. Now a-days tattoos are accepted a lot more than they were back in the day. it's kind of like permenant jewelery really. It's pretty and a form of personal art. if there are any second thoughts in your mind about getting a tattoo at all...don't do it. you don't want to get something so permenant and then regret it later on down the road. that's why mine, i can cover up easily...but i can show them off easily when i want to...and they are very personal to me. thats why i keep having second thoughts about the disney one i want on my wrist. i really do want one that's visible like that...but i'd only be able to cover it up with long sleeves. :confused3

you're probably right. But the other reason I'm reluctant is...like I said a few posts above, I hate my feet. :rotfl2: But I saw one on someone else and I think it's really cool. The foot and the wrist are good places for small tattoos. I thought about my lower back but anything too small would look silly. The right placement is the Key.

awww im sure your feet are fine. i don't like my feet a lot either but if i want a tattoo there bad enough i wouldn't care. it would just make my foot prettier :thumbsup2

have you thought about getting the tatt on your ankle? thats a good place for a small tattoo.

maybe that would draw the attention away from my ugly feet? :rotfl2:

well enough of my stalling. I have to go to a few stores and buy the rest of the stuff I need for the trip! Then I have to go tan. I'll post more pics of all my stuff later on my report. And hopefully one of the shorts (with NO paint) too!

Wow. Before I got this, it was something I had never heard of before. Now I have a lot of people tell me that they know someone who has had it. It is nice to know that she has had luck with the ventricular shunt. (I'm assuming they adjust it with a magnet, that's how they do mine). At least that gives me hope. Thanks for the well wishes!
