Elaine - we were just in Ohio at Six Flags. I didn't see any power outages. Now we are going back to Ohio (Toledo), and I hope my sister doesn't have any either. I'll wave to you as I'm passing through - look for me!!

Miss Elizabeth is camping out with her best friend tonight. Arianna lives next door and they've been wanting to do this since school ended. They are comfortably settled in a 5-person tent and also have an air mattress so she's certainly not roughing it.

I keep thinking of that Brady Bunch episode where one of the brothers creates a UFO and the others think it's real. They even did a similar story on Arthur when he and his buddies were camping in the backyard and DW starts making noises and flashing lights. I can just picture my sweet, innocent son doing the same thing since his bedroom faces their backyard. Luckily for the girls, our bedroom is on the same side of the house so he'd better not try it!!!

Hope the girls have fun with their campout. I remember that Brady Bunch episode, too.

I made chicken fajitas. They turned out great and we even have some left over for tomorrow's lunch. It was good to get to visit with my brother and his family. My feet hurt, though, so I think I'll head for bed.

Hope Dylan is feeling like himself tomorrow. Glad he's feeling a little better.

I have to get up early again tomorrow. DS needs to cut his lawns. He got behind while he was away this week, and this time of year it gets hot earlier and earlier. It got up to 99 in the shade today. With the heat index it was way up there. I don't know how you stand the heat Marsha. Of course you deal with dryer heat, I bet. Here it is pretty humid.

We took the boys to see PoC last night. It was fabulous! I probalby enjoyed it more than they did because I've done some surfing here and knew some of the plot twists.
It was difficult for them to follow the plot......but they still enjoyed it.

Well, this is the 6th day of my illness, and I still off an don run a temp over 103. Woke up in the middle of the night again that way, but it is normal now. The pain in my head and eyes are unbearable. A new symptom this morning too. I have a red rash all over! Kind of reminds me of when one of my kids had roseolla.

Oh Diane......please see someone about that asap, it doesn't sound like just a summer virus anymore.

I might be able to survive the heat in AZ since it's dry but I'd never make it in OK with heat and humidity. Trust me, NOBODY would want to be anywhere near me!

It's a perfect summer day here today. The girls survived their campout, despite some downpours of rain during the night. Matt fell asleep before he cause any trouble for them. He has the first game of his tournament today.....fingers are crossed!

I have spent the entire day making the topper for the LR sliding door and then I tackled the DR chair cushions. I never did this type of "craft" before. I have 3 of the 4 done. Who ever covered them originally really wanted to make sure the fabric didn't move, not one milimeter! Talk about staple overload. I am pretty pleased with the results, it is very time consuming, and hard on the shoulders, pulling staples. But here is before and after, no more Southwestern.

I am doing the last one tomorrow, I need some pool time.

Diane, hope you got to talk to the Dr.
