I have read that many people book their next cruise while they are currently on a cruise. Is there a benefit to doing this?

We are going on a 3 day cruise in December and are thinking of doing a 7 day next summer. I am wondering whether I should wait to book the 7 day while on the ship in December if there is a benefit to it?

a very nice stateroom credit of $200.00 you receive on a future 7 day cruise, when you book onboard...I would definitely wait to book while onboard...well worth it

True, you do get the $200 onboard credit, but if the rates are cheaper now than in December, you will get the rate in December.

I would book now, pay the $250 deposit per peson and see how the pricing is when you are onboard. The rate could easily go up more than $200 between now and December.

whats the DVC discount when booking onboard? Is there a 3 or 4 day discount, or just the 7day?

I don't know if it's still in effect or not, but while we were on board we booked and got a $200.00 stateroom credit and 10% off the price.
When we got home we had our reservation switched to DU and got an additional $75.00 rebate. :earsgirl:
