Michelle - thanks for the update on Alison. I hope they have a spectaular time!

Sheryl - I will continue to send good thoughts for your little niece.

Brenda, Brenda, Brenda... I hope tomorrow finds you only stiff and sore. You poor thing!

For the record... I have no rating scale other than "we liked it" or "we didn't like it"

I'd like to know what Gordo is like when you meet him in person. I think I'd ask him why he has to be such an *** on Hell's Kitchen  And is his cooking really all that? Let us know.

I'm pretty sure Gordon won't be there himself - that's not part of the festival, it's just where I am having lunch - but I'm all over the food. Unless they serve that pea risotto he makes them cook on Hell's Kitchen, that stuff looks

Exciting news!

I had a message from private dining at the Y&B Club ... not only are they going to get their hands on a white chocolate Goofy statue to top the cake next weekend, but the bakery staff is going to paint it, too!!! :woohoo:

I can't wait to see how it all turns out!! :cool1:

I went for an x-ray today for my right foot I hurt it in WDW over the summer. I thought I pull something or maybe it was a bone spur but it doesn't seem to be getting any better and it keeps swelling:confused3. Has anyone here had there tonsils out as adult or know any someone that had it done?

my brother-in-law (jay's younger brother) had his tonsils taken out just about this time last year. it's apparently a much more serious / painful proceedure for adults and you have to be very careful about your food intake for a couple of weeks but then all is well. he felt pretty crappy for about 10 days and couldn't do anything other than liquids and even had to be careful about those (nothing too cold or too hot) but he's fine now.

EDITED - we will take lots of pictures to share with everyone. I'm sorry you won't be joining us, too. But we'll be thinking about you!!

We're meeting in the Solarium at the Beach Club Villas at 9:30 next Saturday night.

I don't know if they used laser or something else ... I'll try to ask the next time I talk with the Wisconsin in-laws.

Happy anniversary to you and your hubby!!! And I'm right there with you on all the doctor stuff and turning 40 ... it's just not right! :headache:

Hope you feel better soon! :goodvibes

We need LOTS of pictures!!

We will happily oblige! And I'm sending your package out tomorrow from UPS - once I have the final tally I will PM you the dollar amount. :goodvibes

I can't wait to see your Goofy cake, too. I'm a big fan of the Goof. :thumbsup2

And I had a phone call from Victoria and Albert's.

On my cell phone.

AND...

On my home phone. They were REALLY anxious to get a hold of me. Apparently they made a note of Brenda's food requests, but get this:

They did not have anyone's name but mine listed. Huh? Wha? :confused3
I had to spell out everyone's name again. For real, what gives? I also confirmed the birthdays being celebrated. :teeth: That's right. I said birthdays. Plural.

:banana::banana::banana::banana:

And Brenda... try to wrap yourself in bubble wrap the next time you set foot outside.

Hey friendies,

I'm sorry I have not been keeping up here. My little niece (6) was back in the hospital M-W. She developed a bad antibiotic resistant bacteria, from the use of multiple antiobiotics after the appendectomy. It's been a rough week.

Sounds like you could really use a break about now, and I'll be with you all in spirit - and following your adventures on this thread.

Here's a new one to add to the list ...

it's been raining non-stop in Stinktown since early Thursday morning. Today at lunch I went out to run an errand and ended up on my behind in the parking lot. I guess the good thing is that all of me landed on my left side, hip, butt, and thigh but now I'm totally stiff and ouchies. It hurts to sit and it's painful to the touch. I called my doctor's office but he's not in today ... his nurse told me to ice it up. I told her that I was at work and last time I checked icing up my a$$ was going to be frowned upon by the powers that be. :lmao:

Do you think you might have low blood pressure? My sister almost fell over while at the Coronada pool because she momentarily blacked out. It also happened to a work colleague. He blacked out at Wal Marts and hit his head hard as he went down.

If any of the group is going to the Tequila Cave at the Mexico Pavilion and order the Blood Orange Margarita (apparently the best drink in Epcot currently), could you please write down the recipe as the bar tender makes it? I did this several of the new cocktails on the bar menu and will post them shortly on the recipe thread. That margarita looks and sounds fabulous and it would be so cook to get the recipe. Also, if you get interesting handouts from the Culinary demos, please post them. I'll be transcribing the Grilled Pineapple Gazpacho recipe I got from the demo this weekend.

So then she said, "if it gets worse go to the ER."

That was helpful.

The scary thing is that I don't remember falling. I was walking and then the next thing I knew I was on my butt in the parking lot. :confused3

I always suspected that Jay was going to have to commit me some day, but I never dreamed it would be for breaking a hip at age 40. :rotfl2:

Just to clarify ... I don't think I broke anything, I just managed to tenderize half of my body with pavement.

ACK!!!!

two words- ice and ibuprofen

If you dont feel better this morning please call your doctor or go to the ER. You're way too close to your trip to get laid up now.

Gina- Congrats of your upcoming wedding. I hope everything goes great. :goodvibes

Disney magic at work! You guys will have a blast. BC solarium won't know what woke it up that night!

The fall was a big OUCH Bendy. All I can say is hope it feels better and WORK IT! Get those muscles warmed up and ready for the big event.

I can't believe you made a reservation for six people and they only managed to get one name ... :rotfl2: Thank goodness they always call back to verify ... it would have been really awkward trying to cram all of us at a table for one. ;)

Are they going to find us some meat butter??? :confused3:

And thanks again for spearheading the effort! BTW, what time is everyone arriving at V&A and is the reservation still for 5:15pm?

Angela, thanks so much for coming back to Bendy Friendies - we've missed you! I've enjoyed reading about your recent trip with your sister and I'm very sorry that Citricos wasn't the WOW! that I made it sound. It was that way for us - I wish it had been that for you, too.

As for me ... I do have low blood pressure but not so low that it's ever been a concern. I think it's more likely that I'm just a tremendous klutz.

If Jay orders the blood orange margarita I'll try to get the recipe for you.

I was sitting on an ice-pack all last night. Talk about chilly butt! :lmao:

It's not bad this morning ... just tender and stiff. And I do have some leftover vicodin from when I had shingles this summer so I will probably bring them to WDW with me just to be on the safe side.

Gina- Congrats of your upcoming wedding. I hope everything goes great. :goodvibes

To echo Bridget ... have a lovely wedding day, Gina!!! :goodvibes:goodvibes

Thanks zinner! The solarium is definitley going to be hopping next Saturday - should be a hoot! :thumbsup2 And I'm going to make sure I get my walking in before we leave to keep this baby loose ... it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be when I got out of bed this morning, so that's a good sign. :thumbsup2

I saw Brenda's question - what time IS the meet up? or the meat butter up?!:lmao:

Shovan, glad to hear your niece is doing better!

Woohoo for Alison being at WDW!

Brenda, what are we going to do with you? :goodvibes I hope you didn't crack your tailbone or anything. I broke mine when I was 8 by falling off the monkey bars at school (broke my wrist, too).

The pumpkin ale was Blue Moon--it wasn't bad, just a little bitter at the end. It was okay with pizza but my mom and I only split one and DH had one. We're going out for DH's birthday tonight and I'm guessing it will be an American draft for both of us! Ok, I have to go finish cleaning house so I can get out and get him a birthday present and cake!!

Hi Happy Birthday to your DH. I want to let you know I was at Sams Club yesterday and they sell a 24 pack of Michelob sampler for about $23.00. I bought it for my DH its really cute you can do a online interactive beer flight with it. It also comes with a place mat to rate your beers. Maybe he would like it:goodvibes.

I was 20 when I got mine out, and I have no idea what the procedure was but I do know that it was a helluva lot better than having tonsilliits & strep every other week :thumbsup2

good luck with all the appts :goodvibes
