Hi friendies. I'm back from my trip. I've actually been back since Sunday night, but just haven't posted much since then, post-Disney depression probably. I did start my dining reviews, http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2301104 but other then that I just want to start planning my next trip already. :rotfl:

I did get an AP this trip, so I am planning two trips in 2010. One in the spring, and one in the fall.

A few thoughts from my trip;

Kouzzina is good, not great. Breakfast was really good, but service was extremely slow.

Sanaa was great, I loved my meal there.

Jiko has now passed Artist Point, Yachtsman Steakhouse, and I think Narcoossees too in my ranking of the signature restaurants. I had an absolutly fantastic meal there.

Plaza, Hollywood and Vine, and Kona were all fine. Nothing to complain about, but nothing to rave about either. Though the service was very good at H&V and Kona.

Party for the Senses was great, and I loved the Wine View Lounge. Sweet Sundays was good, and attending that was totally unplanned.

All my CS meals were fine, some were better then others, with the exception of Tangerine Cafe, it was my first time having actual meals at all the CS restaurants I tried.

Crowds weren't bad. It was crowded at Epcot on Saturday, and they seemed to be building up by the time I left on Sunday.

It was pretty hot, though not hot enough that I had to leave the parks from being too hot.

I met MickeyNicki, and I am so glad I got the chance too. She is such a nice person.

Nothing else really to report, and it was a great trip. A little too short at five-nights, but even when I go for ten days or more, it's still too short, but I would've liked a little more time this trip.

Alison .... safe travels and have a great trip! We'll see you next week!

I'm thinking it will be a zoo at the zoo next Friday. :lmao:

Don't make us press our heads up against the window while you eat with Mr. English! We will be like hungry mimes!:rotfl2:

Hi everyone...

With all this icredible food talk/pictures here I have to confess something.....

I started Weight Watchers this week.....

I went to the Dr. and my blood sugar was very high. I am pre diabetic... which also is another reason for my not going to Fl this year...

So... I am going to try for a lb a week...

I'm STILL going to Oliver's for my Eggs Benny on Sundays (thank GOD for those extra points...:upsidedow) but for now... I'm going to get my behind in gear and get going.

ALSO... I do believe I've discovered the reason why I have been in so much pain these past few months... it wasn't kidney stones (although I do get them...) but I believe I may have fibroids... I've ended up in bed for a few days eating Vicodin for the last 3 months (well, not for the WHOLE 3 months... :rotfl2:) when I get my period and I talked to mr Dr. and he want's me to get to the ob/gyn soon. Incredibly enough... both KS and fibroids have alot of the same symptoms... :sad2: :sad2:

THE BEST PART... I started watching my weight the SAME week I was on pain meds and I've got to admit... it has made the sugar withdrawl almost... shall I say it... PAINLESS???? :woohoo: :woohoo: :lmao: :lmao:

Riddle me this, Boozies. How in the world is the grocery store out of canned pumpkin?:confused3

They probably saw 'Thanksgiving' on the calendar and did not realize it was CANADIAN Thanksgiving.

Pumpkin Pie martinis are apparently difficult to make because you can't find pumpkin booze anywhere. :headache:

I will try to remember to do pictures at least.:rotfl:

Pumpkin Pie martinis are the drink of the month in the crappiest place on earth???

Have a great trip Briarmom ... and having learned from the past I'm not even going to ask you about a TR but I'd love to see your pictures if you feel like sharing. :goodvibes

Hey all,

Our supermarket, Publix had a sign up where the pumpkin should have been. Apparently, with the flooding last year it blew a lot of the crop away. So, they said that they were completely out until this years crop starts to come in. I did notice that they are starting to get some in now.

As a note - our Sam's Club had all you could want. It comes in three larger cans and it was Libby's.

Michelle,

Sending you good weight loss vibes!:wizard:

Wishing you success in your weight watchers program Michelle. It works for a lot of people and I hope you are one of them!

Thanks for the Great Pumpkin shortage info! :scared1: Got to have fresh pumpkin pies for Turkey Day!

foodies, have you ever heard of Natalie MacLean? She's an accredited sommelier with late-night vinous habits! (her words not mine :) ) Anywhoo she has a pretty extensive wine and food pairing site ... loads of recipes to peruse. Nat Decants
Found it when I was looking for something to pair with a Cabernet Franc. I usually start with the wine first and then determine the dish. Priorities are subjective. ;)

I need to post this on the F&W thread too...

The final Wine Seminar I was to attend today was canceled after we were all seated. The presenter, from Puglia, never showed up. When they tracked her down she was too busy at the pavilion in Italy to come!

We got to drink the wines (there are none left for sale in the wine shop) and had our choice of exchanging our ticket for a different presentation during our vacation or receiving a refund. I took the money since I am not doing any additional seminars for the rest of our trip.

That is really pitiful :sad2:

Hey everyone,

We've actually been back since early Friday morning but between spending the weekend at a hotel with my DH and going back to work Monday this is the first chance I've had to post anything. I see I have lots of back reading to do to catch up on here.

I just wanted to let you all know that the buttons were a hit. :thumbsup2 I had lots of nice comments on them. One CM on TTA wanted to trade me pins in the worse way. He kept trying to offer me more and more of his pins for mine. Told him sorry , it's a limited edition custom pin and I'm not trading. :) Also had a few prople ask what shop I got it at. ;)

Welcome home :goodvibes

I want the wine charms.:guilty:

That sounds great. :cloud9:

In other news:

We leave tomorrow for Disneyland and the kids have no clue!!!

I went to the spaaaaaahhhhh today to get some vampy nails and toes.:thumbsup2

It's a super rainy day, so I put some butternut squash soup in the crock pot. I think that and some pumpkiny pasta is the perfect pre-Disneyland Halloween dinner.:thumbsup2

Kids have colds (please oh please just colds) so I'm hoping they feel better soon.

Have a great time!!!!

Pumpkin Pie martinis are the drink of the month in the crappiest place on earth???

I almost asked as well :rolleyes1

Well hopefully you'll start to feel better with the changes you're making

Gina, best wishes this weekend :jumping1:

Hi all....just popping in really quick to say hi and wish everyone who is leaving this week a great time on their trips, and to say a pre-congrats to Gina! Furniture market starts for us next week, and so I am up therefore up to my head in price lists, so you probably won't hear much out of me between now and next Thursday.

Alison .... safe travels and have a great trip! We'll see you next week!

I'm thinking it will be a zoo at the zoo next Friday. :lmao:

Bluezoo is going to be a blast!! Can't wait to see all the Dis'ers.

Just looked at the Disney site and all the Signature Dinners are sold out except the ones at Portebello, Jean Claude Boisset and bluezoo. So, hopefully it won't be so crowded. Although, Todd uses the whole restaurant as opposed to just sectioning off part of it. So, maybe that is it.

See you all soon!

Michelle, my Mom has had a lot of success with Weight Watcher's recently. Even before she joined up this year she had one of their cookbooks which has really awesome recipes. I wish you lots of good luck with the weight loss and other health issues.:flower3:

Thanks everyone for the good wishes!! :grouphug:

The good news is that I have a very good friend from the PC repo who is also a WW leader!!!   A very loving guy who has not gotten mad at me for dropping out last time (but that was in the middle of my dad being sick...)

To everyone who is leaving soon... Safe travels and pack for hot weather... they are expecting 90's for the first couple of days next week... :flower3:

Michelle - Good luck on the weight loss, you can do it!!!!!:cheer2:

Gina - Wishing you an amazing wedding my friend!!:cloud9:

They probably saw 'Thanksgiving' on the calendar and did not realize it was CANADIAN Thanksgiving.

I've always maintained that the date for our Thanksgiving makes much more sense than having so close to Xmas. One of the desserts I'll be making is the Italian lemon tart from Delicious Disney Desserts. I love trying the recipes in the new cookbooks I bought. Today I made the Mango Lassi and Greek Salad from the F & W Cookbook.

I know how you feel. I just went over all my Disney pics and am really mising the place :sad2: Will head straight to your review! I totally agree about Jiki and think it's the best resort restaurant (except for V & A) that I've tried. Haven't tried BluZoo though.

Tink, if you stick with it, it will definately work. I lost 90# with WW though gained most back :guilty: :guilty: I'll be back on the plan though and found the Boot Camp Buddies Board very helpful to stay on plan. http://www.healthdiscovery.net/forums/index.php

Wishing you all success with getting healthy and I'll be joining you next week - right after our Thanksgiving.
