I care about my family and friends. My friends' families, even. I care about my patients (almost always). But, NO, I don't care about every single person who is injured in the world every day.
If I say that I really care about this man and that it will have some effect on me personally if he lives (or dies), does that make me a better person?! Puhleeze.
How much of your spare time do you donate to helping the injured that you care so very much about? Or is this caring of yours the theoretical kind that doesn't help anyone, but makes you feel oh-so-good about yourself?
You get to feel that you can sit in judgement of others and determine for yourself whether they are caring enough, and publicly announce that they should be more caring, and more like you. Ug.
Even if you were the most caring person in the world, it doesn't give you the right to sit in judgement of others. Of course, if you were the most caring person in the world, you wouldn't do that, would you?
It is interesting. He said he doesn't ride sport bikes and doesn't ride alone. Apparently that wasn't true today.RadioNate said:I lied, it was an ESPN article not SI

Serious but stable condition, and still in surgery.

They're reporting nothing else is majorly wrong.
They showed the woman that hit Ben on the news. She also has a house in Maine. I surely am glad I'm not her right now. I'm not one of them but I'm sure there are plenty out there in Steeler Nation who wish her harm.
Some people are holding a vigil outside of Mercy Hospital.
Here's hoping for a full recovery. Luv ya Ben!

I am sooooo glad it wasn't me or anyone I know who hit Ben. From what I have been hearing, sounds like the lady may have pulled out in front of him (I could be totally wrong on that, though). If so, sucks to be her.
Hoping Ben feels better soon.

Plus surely with the damage to his face, he's bound to look somewhat different. Sure there are worse things but we're just saying.....
I do feel for the woman that hit him, but from where on her car the impact was it does sound as if she was at fault. Remember how upset the baseball fans were at the guy who caught a ball a couple years ago..can't remember the team for the life of me right now. They nearly burned him out of his home!
