We had dinner tonight at CA Pizza Kitchen ... shared some hummus, munched some pizza, drank some sangria ... Then we went to Williams Sonoma where we had to practically beg someone to help us spend money.

I guess they're not used to people buying stuff on Friday nights.

We had dinner tonight at CA Pizza Kitchen ... shared some hummus, munched some pizza, drank some sangria ... Then we went to Williams Sonoma where we had to practically beg someone to help us spend money.

I guess they're not used to people buying stuff on Friday nights.

We love all the stuff you and Jay did last night. To bad you guys are so far from us. I think we would get along great. What pizza did you order from CA Pizza Kitchen? I had hummus last night too but at home it was still good and relaxing. We like to wonder around Williams Sonoma and just look at everything. To bad they can't just wrap up the whole store for us. They have a great apple cider usually around Christmas that my DH just loves to get. Congrats on the 10 year anniversary. We celebrated ours last year in Oct. along with my birthday.

I'm totally boring when it comes to pizza ... I just order the pepperoni and I'm happy. Jay always orders something weird and scary ... last night he chose the Santa Fe pizza which I think was served with a glob of guacamole and sour cream smack dab in the middle. Once he spread it around the pizza it looked someone had smeared gerber baby food all over the place.

We lurrrrrrves Williams Sonoma. We bought a new blender last night - the one we were given as a wedding gift was actually from WS and it's lasted ten years (the waring anniversary blender) but the motor is starting to go out.

This time we picked a Breville Ikon Blender - nice weight to the glass container and the base is stainless steel. It will be good for blending soups later this year once the weather cools off again. It's a little more pricey than we would normally spend but Jay got some cash for his birthday so we figured we'd use it on something that will last a long time.

I think Jay has ordered that before ... he also really likes the chipotle pizza and the caribbean jerk pizza.

I can't eat BBQ ... the sauce kills my stomach ... so I stick with safe choices. The good thing (for me) about CPK is that they don't use too much tomato sauce, which can also bother my delicate intestinal tract.

Ah, the joys of inflammatory bowel disease. Oh well, as long as I can drink like a fool I'm happy.

Hope you're well! We're getting ready to go run some errands and find something yummy to grill for dinner. I'm really only interested in some cheese ... but I'm sure I'll be happy to eat whatever Jay whips up.

Also ... gonna try out that new blender with some kahlua coladas - I will remember to post the recipe this time!
