Belly Up to the Bar With Bendy and Her Friendies!!! Button Pics & New Thread Started!

Happy Sunday everyone!

Jason and I were talking last night about the up and coming meet with a lot of you and I have to say we are really excited about it! :cool1:
This should be a very cool thing!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. We are actually having some wet (for So. California) weather and I am ready to nerd out over the New Moon trailer today! Life is good!

I'm alittle late too but....

Happy Anniversary Brenda and Jay !!!!!

Thanks Bridget!

You did not hallucinate, I just don't have dates. Maybe it's a Michelle thing  just put me down for "Sometime in October"

I have to give the updated list to DH with 1st, 2nd & 3rd choice for dates and then we'll see if there is a single DVC room available. If not, we may just see what deals we can find.

Got it ... I'll amend the list accordingly.

No rust at all :goodvibes

Thanks - sometimes it's hard to tell.

Happy Sunday everyone!

Hiya Chelsi! I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone - I think it will be a hoot. And with dessert and booze, how could it not be a good time?

We've finally had two lovely days in a row for the first time in two weeks. It figured that while Jay and I were off work it rained every day and there was no sign of the sun. Yesterday and today have been glorious. Got a lot of walking in to try to get some of this weight to start coming off.

Enjoy your Sunday, too! :goodvibes

Brenda,
You can add me to the list! Will probably be there October 15-? Still deciding on how many days to stay! :dance3:

Sheryl, we've seen something that indicated program info would be released late in July and reservations will be taken on the second Monday in August (the 10th or 11th). Not long to wait now!

As for the cake,

Brenda & Jay, A Belated Happy Anniversary to both of you!!!!

Bob & I were able to discern from the little but joyous time we spent with you two that y'all are really made for each other. True soul mates. ( We can tell these things because we are so old & have been married for such a freakin long time! ;))

Whogirl:

How about 3 smaller carry-ons instead of checking one big one. As far as I've seen, there is still no charge for carry-on luggage. With the wheels on luggage, it isn't really that much of a hassle to bring them on.

I've been seriously considering this if our smaller bags meet the measurements. Of course I did see that Kohl's and Belk's have luggage on sale this week. Whogirl has a nice big rolling backpack that I've used to pack her for a whole week in WDW.

I just managed to post our Scottish Arms review to the blog (follow the last link in my signature if you'd like to take a read) ... I apologize for the typeface - the blog and me are usually fighting with each other over something in every post and this time it was the type.

Hope you enjoy it! :thumbsup2

The Scottish Arms review was great! Everything looked quite tasty especially the Shepherd's Pie, mmmm. I just want to know, though, how in the world do you stuff a rabbit's leg? :rotfl:

P.S. Yes, I had to get out my reading glasses for this one!

Brenda
Enjoyed reading your review of the Scottish Arms, I agree with you on the FDA in regards to traditional cooking of the " FRITTER" And I just can't get pass the sausage being undercooked  overall the rest looked delicious.

Hey everyone! :goodvibes Sorry it's been so long since I've stopped by. :flower3: It's been crazy busy over here and I haven't had much time to DIS lately. I read your latest review, B, and I'm so glad you enjoyed your meal at Scottish Arms. I'm also glad you put those Restaurant dot com certificates to good use. I have found more than a few gems on there over the past few years. We've gone to restaurants close to home, in Chicago, Vegas, and down in Orlando. Places I probably never would have gone to if I didn't have the $25 (or more) incentive. LOL! :rotfl: :surfweb: Speaking of which, I just came across these two restaurants that we will have to try out later this year...

A Land Remembered - Restaurant dot com listing

A Land Remembered website

Cala Bella - Restaurant dot com listing

Cala Bella website

Here is the huge resort that they are located in, tucked away behind Universal...

Rosen Shingle Creek

Both restaurants are rated 4 Diamonds for 2009, plus the Team USA captain for pastry arts, David Ramirez in on staff...

Pastry Chef David Ramirez

That's enough to convince me to try them!!! :thumbsup2

Hope everyone is doing well. Have a great week!

Awww, thanks so much, Sheryl ... you're very sweet.

Be careful with the weight limit. Before Jay and I were savvy (haha) we had one large suitcase, packed everything into it for a flight to New Orleans and got "fined" because it weighed 52 pounds and we had no way to transfer other items to anything else.

I still don't understand the rationale that says we can have four 49 pound bags at no charge (Southwest) but will get hit with a $25 fine for a single 50 pound bag.

No logic ... :confused3

Thanks for reading - glad you liked it! And I'm sorry about the type face ... sometimes I hate that blog. :headache:

As for the rabbit ... maybe it was a mammoth bunny from the local nuclear power plant.

Thanks for reading! The sausage was definitely the worst thing we had, which is pretty good considering how much food we all consumed. :rotfl2:

OMG Bendy, that was one awful "looking" meal, I don't even want to imagine how bad it tasted. Jay's Burping Theory had me in tears I was laughing so hard.:rotfl2:
