Aside from POFQ, is there anywhere else to get Beignets? We're staying at POP, so not sure if I can justify going to Port Orleans just to get beignets - it'd be great if i can find them somewhere at the theme parks!

I've never seen them in any of the parks and I didn't even know POFQ had them either. The only place I've ever had them is in New Orleans at Cafe Du Monde.

You might just want to make the trip over there if you really want them. Might give me a reason to go over there too since I haven't had a beignet in over 7 yrs.

I discovered beignets many years ago when I visited New Orleans & completely fell in love with them! And, I haven't had a chance to go back because I started a family - we almost went a few years ago and then Katrina hit!

I'm determined to get some beignets! Even if it means the long trek to POFQ/RS!

I grew up in New Orleans and went to Saint Louis Cathedral Catholic School which is in the French Quarter and I had beignets at least 3 times a week for breakfast or an after school snack. Back then, they were 65 cents for an order of 3. Anyway, if anyone is interested, you can buy the mix and make them yourself. It is really easy. Here's the website.

I haven't seen them at the theme parks, but you could always catch the boat from DTD to POFQ. It's a nice ride, and the beignets are really good. :)

For those who have had the beignets at Cafe Du Monde in NOLA, don't get your hopes up for the ones at POFQ. They are good, but they aren't as good as Cafe Du Monde.

Oh yes, don't wear black that day. :goodvibes

Great suggestion!Every trip,I take a bus to POR and ride the boat down to DTD just for the experience.I consider this boat trip to be an attraction unto itself.:)

I didn't think they were worth the trip.

I've not found any at WDW, but if you are ever in DLR they have them - they are Mickey shaped, too! I am from New Orleans, and generally speaking, DLR does a reasonably good job with most of their New Orleans inspired dishes.

We had them at DL but they weren't mickey shaped. Now I feel like I missed our :sad1:
Still YUMMY though!

I don't know where you're from, but there's a place in Oak Park, IL, called Nola's Cup that makes ones better than Disney's French Quarter... and I like the ones in Disney!

I had them at POFQ and they were pretty good. I asked the CM if they made them anywhere else at WDW and she said no, they only have them at Sassagoula Food Court.

DLR:

There are Mickey shaped beignets (Cafe Orleans specifically), others have "fritters" (Royal Street Veranda), and then there are non-Mickey beignets at, for instance, Ralph Brennan's in DTD. I refused to get the Mickey shaped ones, and went to RB's, and they were just disgusting. Then I had the Mickey shaped ones at C.O. and they were delicious.

I miss New Orleans and C du M beignets desperately.

And I'm bummed to find out that WDW doesn't really have them like DLR does! :(

I am from New Orleans and I love beignets, but for some reason, when I am at Disney, the funnel cakes always appeal to me. I guess because we don't have those as readily here. It's good to know they have them at POFQ if I really get a craving! :)

We had them at DTD - I will have to remember to get them in the park next time

I tried these for the first time in 2006 at Port Orleans French Quarter and became addicted, They are sooooo good, especially when they are made fresh. This is one of the reasons I'm staying at POFQ again this year. Below is a picture.

Yep, those at Cafe du Monde are to die for and to walk a few extra blocks:) Did it more than one time during my stay in New Orleans:)

I really do like the ones at PO-FQ too but they aren't like the real New Orleans ones. They are a great treat if you are staying near by but not worth a special trip. They are much more like a doughy donut but are hot and fresh.
