Beginning of Spring Break?

I know that Spring Break dates have changed over the years. Based on current trends, when is Spring Break likely to start, this year and in 2017? We may be coming to Orlando early next year, but would like to avoid the Spring Break madness. Thanks!

Our school is usually one of the first weeks of Spring Break season, and ours will be the week of March 13 next year. It was the week of March 7 this year.

It's definitely a Spring Break "season" and not just a certain week. Anywhere from mid-March through April. Higher concentration around Easter.

Spring Break in Orlando (for both Orange and Seminole counties) is March 20-24. Osceola county, where WDW is, is on break March 13-17. So, those are the weeks you can expect the locals to be in force.

In many Northern states, there's a "Winter" break (mid-late February) as well as a "Spring" break (mid-late April). Not sure if Canada has a similar arrangement.

We have March Break in Canada and that usually takes place during the first 3 weeks of March. I know here in the Maritimes the 3 provinces each take a separate week. I think Ontario usually goes during the second week, so likely March 12-18.

Spring breaks pretty much cover all of March and April. Most all Florida schools are on spring break in March

This is what I am trying to figure out. I'm in NY and the local districts all have off April 10-17 for Passover/Easter. My kids are in Catholic school and they have off April 13-23. We were wondering what other areas are looking at for breaks to see if planning a few days after Easter is a good idea.

The week after Easter is usually just as busy as the week before Easter, and will be one of the busiest weeks of the year. Visiting a few days after Easter will mean big crowds.

Spring break really is sort of a rolling thing throughout March and April. I think most colleges are on break in March and I know where we live the public schools are always on break during one of the weeks surrounding Easter. (ie if Easter is early - say in mid-March then break will be the week following Easter. If Easter is "late" (mid-late April) then break will be the week before Easter so it's NEVER the SAME DATES from year to year. Disney pricing and availability seems to follow the same general 2 weeks surrounding Easter rule when they set up their room rates and DVC seasons (same with airlines too I think).

The DVC point charts for 2017 have April 9 - 22 in the "premium" (most expensive) season. Easter is April 16th so in the middle of those dates.

We are in TX and I think we have one of the earliest spring breaks. In 2017 it will be the week of March 5-11

College spring break for us is always the first full week of March. K-12 spring break is the first full week of April.

My DDs college spring break is the last week of Feb. She is coming home tonight because the school year is over for her which is why her spring break is earlier. K-12 Is usually the last 2 weeks in March. Easter isn't a factor in their dates. The K-12 is on a balanced schedule now and as long as they don't have snow days, they get 2 weeks at spring break.
