Beer question

And if you go fishing, bring your own worms,, DON'T buy them at Disney, THEY AREN'T MAGICAL ! Rog can attest to that ,:lmao:

....

Tis true....They cost almost a buck a piece, no mickey ears on those worms...and the ratted my hooks out to the fish...I saw fish warning each other after speaking with the worms.:headache:

Good to know about the hot dogs - will bring some! And glad to know coolers are okay too!
Also, no magical Disney worms... got it.
No to the $9 margaritas... will have to see if we'll have a blender at the cabin...
Someone said there is a grocery store next to an ABC... I'll have to find that post again.

Thanks for all the help!

I think that was me! :rolleyes1

Head left out of the Fort "the back way" to DTD. Follow Hotel Plaza Blvd from DTD to the end @ Crossroads. Turn left on Apopka-Vineland, straight through the next light @ Palm Pkwy. Look for Winn-Dixie half a mile or so on the right - ABC is in the front of the same plaza. :thumbsup2

Depending on how we hit the lights, it's about 15 minutes from the time we hop in the car at our site.

If you're coming off I-4, take the DTD exit, right off the ramp, straight past Crossroads/DTD entrance, straight through light at Palm Pkwy, 1/2 mile on right.

Dear Wifey,
Buy the 30 pack at home for $ 0.50 per beer and buy ice there. 30X$6 will save you a boat load. Maybe by a spa package.....:rotfl2:

On the margirita, For those with costco membership, buck up and buy their mix and liqu..... little salt around the edge and you will be saying zipdedoo Da Day...

BYOB is most always the way to go. Cheaper. BTW, who would want to set up camp w/o a beer ? (long live the american cldyesdales)

Something that is obviously on everyone's mind, but no one has said it yet.

Not enough room in the car for beer? Something is horribly wrong. Smart Car? Clown car (10+ people)?

There's always room for beer.

I think the margaritas should be about $7, but at Epcot the Grand Marnier Orange Slushie is definitely worth the $9. Wish I had a way to make that at home!

I heard those slushies were yummy! I'm def going to get one...

No, don't get upset, there is always room for beer! I think I'm just get nervous about all the gear we are stuffing into my little CRV.
Maybe we should just strap the stroller onto the roof...

We usually balance our food/drinks and clothes in the boot of our car. Less additional clothes means more drinks! We usually carry detergent with us so each of us wash their own clothes. That leaves a lot of space in the car for other things. It’s a huge picnic!

Yes..bring your own...and lots of it because its HOT!!! Also bring your own smore supplies, may as well bring a couple of hot togs to roast as well.....we usually do. I really love the campfire, definately one of my favorite Fort activies...especially when you see all of the first timers paying about 3.50 for a smore by Disneys prices and they are are realizing that they could have brought their own!!! And when the kids see you roasting a hot dog and ya hear them tell their parents.."Dad....I wanna hot dog to burn in the fire" and the dad gives you that "look" that just screams "you just cost me another 6 bucks for disney dogs, thanks pal!!"

Ahhh yes! The magic of the Campfire Sing-Along! Where else does the fun begin by arming 3 year olds with pointy sticks and showing them to a huge, roaring fire and then end when they freak out over their marshmallow catching fire and in a panic they wave it frantically in the air (in the faces of twenty other screaming children armed with pointy sticks) until the little molten fireball comes loose and hurtles, molotov cocktail-like, through the air seeking to destroy bare skin, hair or frolicking 6' chipmunks! Man I miss the Fort. You ain't getting that kind of entertainment at the GF, I'm tellin' ya!

I'm only laughing because it's true...

If the Native-Americans had flaming marshmellows on their arrows...this land wouldnt be named America today!!!

No blenders in the cabins. You have to have your margaritas the old fashioned way - on the rocks.
Start making ice when you arrive, and you won't have to buy any from the trading posts.

That's great to know. I never thought Disney would allow coolers where they served beer. I will definitely bring one in August. Can you bring beer in a cooler to the pool?

We have brought drinks to the pool. Nothing in glass containers.
But I am not sure if Disney has an official policy about it one way or the other.

Beer at the pool is ok.....I think they even sell a couple of different kinds at the little concession stand at the pool...but NO GLASS......red plastic cups are the choice of most of us pool-side drunks!!!

From what I remember they carry most of the mainstream beers. Here is a list if I remember correctly:

Budweiser-$1345.89 per 12pk (cans)
Bud Light-$1245.89 per 12pk (cans)
Corona-$2367.99 per 12pk (bottles)
Miller Lite-$1267.78 per 12 pk (cans)
BYOB-around $30.00 (roughly)

Thats just what I can remember.
:rotfl2:

Heck I should start selling medical marijuana. Tastes great. Less Filling. WAY CHEAPER :hippie:
