What kind of beer do they sell at the trading posts and how much does a 12-pack run? Light domestic beer...
DH likes an import now and again, but he can just bring those few from home. We are driving, but I think hauling down a bunch of beer will hurt my gas mileage...:rotfl:

I think one 16oz bottle was around $5.50 at the trading post. You would be better off stopping before you get to the Fort.

Yikes! They're just selling singles, then.
We will definitely have to stop before we get there then.
We have a smallish vehicle and I'm trying to save space for the road. We are getting a cabin, so I'm thinking I might even do the GardenGrocer thing.

From what I remember they carry most of the mainstream beers. Here is a list if I remember correctly:

Budweiser-$1345.89 per 12pk (cans)
Bud Light-$1245.89 per 12pk (cans)
Corona-$2367.99 per 12pk (bottles)
Miller Lite-$1267.78 per 12 pk (cans)
BYOB-around $30.00 (roughly)

Thats just what I can remember.

What a DEAL !!! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

There is a WinneDixie about 5 miles from the Fort. You can leave everyone else at the cabin and then fill the car with beer

Yes, the kids can even ride on the roof rack - think of it as training for Expedition Everest... :cool1:

You guys are hilarious!

Winn Dixie it is - prob just stop on the way. I think once I get inside the Fort, I will likely not want to leave...
We want to have some food in the cabin for breakfast and making sandwiches and stuff, so it's just as well we will stop.

On the same line of thinking... if we go to the ChipNDale campfire and movie thing, should we plan on buying beer/soda/juice boxes from the Chuckwagon or can we bring a small cooler? (DH calls it a "lunchbox")

The trading post use to sell 6pk and 12 pks of beer about $2.00 more than the going rate on the street. Sometime In mid to late 2000’s Disney stopped selling bulk beer and just started selling singles at their resorts. So $66.00 for a 12pk of beer that’s fair

I think they have had a price increase since then.:thumbsup2

Why would even think about using Garden Grocer when you have a car.:confused3

Its like 15 minutes to the Super Walmart.

When we go we bring our own smores and my "lunchbox" full of beers. Cheaper and we get more.

Yes..bring your own...and lots of it because its HOT!!! Also bring your own smore supplies, may as well bring a couple of hot togs to roast as well.....we usually do. I really love the campfire, definately one of my favorite Fort activies...especially when you see all of the first timers paying about 3.50 for a smore by Disneys prices and they are are realizing that they could have brought their own!!! And when the kids see you roasting a hot dog and ya hear them tell their parents.."Dad....I wanna hot dog to burn in the fire" and the dad gives you that "look" that just screams "you just cost me another 6 bucks for disney dogs, thanks pal!!"

And if you go fishing, bring your own worms,, DON'T buy them at Disney, THEY AREN'T MAGICAL ! Rog can attest to that ,:lmao:

Even at the xtra cost in gas to bring your own beer, it'd still be cheaper.

There's lots of magic at Disney,,but beer and worms ain't it.

Take the cost of beer and multiply it times pi. That should get you in the ballpark.:teacher:

:rotfl: It's funny, because it's true!

Not sure about a pint of beer, but I know the margaritas at Crockett's will run you $9+ :scared1:

I'm pretty sure DH can make a barrel full for the cost of 2. Oh wait... he has! :upsidedow
