Hey Lesley

Just checking in for an update

I forget if you said you were going away for a bit

if you did, just disregard this. I have no memory

I have been reading your trip report for the last couple of weeks and I am finally caught up. Your children are beautiful, and your husband seems to be so much fun. It sounds like you all had a wonderful trip. I will be waiting to hear more.
So glad you enjoy it, thanks so much, you are too sweet!

Dying for an update!!!!:cool1:...
Sorry, I start back to work this week, it's been CRAZY STRESSFUL getting my classroom/schedules ready

I SECOND THAT!!!!!!:dance3:
Sorry, school starts back this week for me, I've been VERY BUSY!

Loving your TR and wishing I could go back soon! We have seen this talking garbage can before and one time I kept hearing the garbage can in stereo. I turned around and saw a man talking into his hand and his other hand in his bag. You captured this man in your picture.
So glad you enjoy it. I didn't notice that but others told me after seeing the pics, very cool trick!
Can't wait for the next update! Will there be a PTR for your Oct trip? I"m addicted to your reports!!!
I don't know if I'll do a PTR for Oct, but will definitely do a TR, stay tuned!
Caught up again, and once again, you provided me with laughter and giggles! Loved the "whipped" greens!!! That was too funny! We love that place.
I still can't get over the crowd levels!!!:eek:
Glad you are caught up and enjoyed it. Yeah, crowds were crazy!

Whoo hoo! All caught up finally. The last time I read your TR was 7/31 so I had lots of catching up to do. Been working so many crazy hours with school starting. Hopefully I can keep up now. Waiting for more...
So glad you enjoyed it and are all caught up, more coming tonight hopefully.
Hiya Tim and Lesley! I am only half way caught up -- on page 51! But I was away for two weeks! So just a few comments, what fun you all are having -- really!!! Despite the rain and the bum knee -- so cool that you spent so much time with Diane and her family! My favorite two lines thus far were "Mom was soaking wet, but the princess stayed dry" :lmao: and Luke the prodigal son yelling "run cripple run!" :rotfl2: That and some very adorable photos -- of the kids hugging eachother, the BBB photos!!! :goodvibes and the photo of Lauren in her "granny hair cover" are making this catch up session so much fun!!! HOWEVER, I think the icing on the cake was the photo of the typhoon above DHS -- -- from Tim's "story" and his admission that he "wished he had those Dang ponchos!!!" and finally, the 50s Prime Time story -- My DH had a similar experience with our waiter -- he was laughing when I showed him Tim's greens!! HIGHlarious!!!! :rotfl:
The crowds at DHS are CRAZY??!!??!! Was it a EMH day??!! I guess we picked the right park that day! I can't remember where we were, but it wasn't DHS!!! :crowded:
Your TR is such a delight to read! Okay, back at it! :surfweb:
So glad you are enjoying it, yes, Luke is definitely the prodigal son : ) No, it wasn't an EMH day which made it even more crazy!!!

Wow, I can't believe I just got through over 50 pages!! I'm LOVING your report. Also love your shoes - the Croc slides. Those are my Disney shoes! Although I wear them everyday - THE most comfortable shoes I have EVER worn!!

Well, thank you for such a great trip report. You have a beautiful, fun family!! I'm jealous of the number of days you stayed! Looking forward to the rest!!!

So glad you enjoyed it and got through it all. I love my Croc Cleo's, my favorite, just found a pair at our local Croc outlet for 9.99 so I was so excited!
Read the whole thing yesterday (recovering from a wedding the night before!! LOL!!) and  it! Your kids are just too cute!! I told my kids that you were there 18 days and they freaked :scared1: out. They are SOOOO jealous. Someday, when I can get some more DVC points, we'll stay longer.

Great report and I can't wait for the rest!! popcorn:::rolleyes1:surfweb:
Wow, whole thing in one day, glad you are caught up.

Sorry, I go back to school this week and so do the kids, every free minute has been spent getting my room ready and work stuff. I'm going to try to do one before my first day at work tomorrow tonight.... gotta get workin' on it/

I figured as much Lesley!
I know you do have a life
beyond the diz!!! Its just
that your TR is soooooo
ADDICTING!!!!!:worship:

Hope classes are going a little more smoothly this week and that things are getting in the groove! My youngest starts tomorrow and the high schoolers go back Thurs. It is about time!!! I'm SO looking forward to coming home from work and not seeing children sitting in front of the television with dishes all over the place. ;)

Day 14 July 4th.
So it was the 4th of July and based upon the recent crowds and our long trip to WDW we decided to make it another pool/relax day. We slept in again (nice theme of our trip). We had pop tarts in the room I had brought from home. Then we got our suits on and headed down to the Grandstand pool. Here are the kids waiting for the elevator:
001640x480.jpg

We basically had the pool to ourselves:
002640x480.jpg

003640x480.jpg

It was such a nice morning. We brought some laundry down while we were swimming to get done. The refill station was open so we enjoyed filling up our mugs:
004640x480.jpg

Luke and I enjoyed soaking up some rays:
005640x480.jpg

We had the hot tub to ourselves too = HEAVEN!
006640x480.jpg

The pool bar opened and I bought us lunch from there. I so wish they used dining credits, I don’t understand it because the menu is about the same. We got some sandwiches which were tasty and just paid out of pocket for them. After our leisurely lunch and wonderful morning of swimming we headed back to our room.

The kids enjoyed some lounging/tv time:
008640x480.jpg

Then we got dressed to head out for some shopping and dinner. We had reservations at Spoodles for dinner but Tim really wanted to eat at the ESPN club, but with the recent crowds I was worried we may have to wait forever. We headed to Downtown Disney after we were showered and ready to go at 3:15. We had 2 missions at DTD and they both dealt with Team Mickey. Tim wanted to get a shirt he had seen earlier in the week and we wanted to get a present for Bryan (Diane’s husband) since we knew it was his birthday the next day. We arrived quickly at Team Mickey:
009640x480.jpg

The kids enjoyed watching this guy make bats, it was cool, he had a headset on and was talking them through the process:
010640x480.jpg

After our shopping was done we headed to the Boardwalk area for our Spoodles reservation. We were on the bus at 4:00 in hopes to get there early for ESPN club. Diane read my Facebook post about going to the ESPN club and texted me and I told her we’d love it if they wanted to join us at ESPN club. She told me to text them when we pulled in and they would run over and get a table- YEAH! Well, it was a LONG bus ride, GOODNESS- We had to go to Pleasure Island, then to Typhoon Lagoon, then the Swan, then the Dolphin, then the Yacht Club, THEN the Beach Club, then FINALLY the Boardwalk at 4:50 I texted her to tell her we were FINALLY pulling in- geez! Then we headed to the ESPN Club:
011640x480.jpg

Here is Luke loving the Boardwalk:
012640x480.jpg

By the time we got there they had asked for a table for 8 and we were all seated together. Matthew and Eric thanked us for the pins we had sent them from Hollywood Studios a few days back, they had finally arrived at their resort gift shop- glad they liked them.
Here are Luke and Matthew at dinner:
013640x480.jpg

Then we wanted to give Bryan his present. We would be seeing them the next day on his actual birthday but we knew they would already be packed up to go and so we wanted to give it to him a day early so they could fit it in the suitcase. Here is Bryan opening his gift:
014640x480.jpg

We think he liked it : )
015640x480.jpg

After we ordered Luke had to go to the restroom, I took him. I had told him that there were t.v’s in the bathrooms so he wanted to check that out. These are above the stalls:
018640x480.jpg

Luke was just a LITTLE excited:

These are above the sinks:
016640x480.jpg

Here’s happy Luke enjoying the restaurant:
019640x480.jpg

I took some photo’s of Cincinnati stuff. Here I am with Pete Rose:
022640x480.jpg

I was amazed they had all colors of Riverfront Stadium seats, very cool, I have sat in each color at Reds games throughout my life:
023640x480.jpg

The meal was great, good food and good atmosphere and better yet, GREAT time with our new friends. Tim and Bryan shared some wings as an appetizer, Tim had a beer with his meal and then we both had burgers, YUM! It was all very good. Bryan and Diane seemed to enjoy their meals too and the kids had fun. Even flat Tyson and Shae had a great time and a great meal. Lauren was DYING for some girl interaction, so she had fun with Shae:
021640x480.jpg

And the boys had fun with Tyson:
020640x480.jpg

Here are Bryan and Tim looking manly at dinner:
024640x480.jpg

After dinner we shopped around in the ESPN store for a bit, it was a great store. Tim had fun teaching the CM how to do basketball tricks:
025640x480.jpg

Then we headed over to the Boardwalk and went up to Diane and families room so the kids could change into their suits. Here are Luke and Lauren on the balcony- such a great view!

CONTINUED IN THE NEXT POST!

We headed down to the pool, it was just as cool as it was on the pictures and the kids were super excited:
027640x480.jpg

They headed immediately for the slide:
029640x480.jpg

030640x480.jpg

And they just had a great time swimming and playing together:
031640x480.jpg

Do these guys look like best bud’s or what!?!
032640x480.jpg

Then we got some drinks from the bar as the kids were swimming. I can’t put into words how nice it was this trip to be able to relax with friends. It was great for us to have adult company and for the kids to be occupied playing with friends, WONDERFUL!!!
Lauren had fun on the little playground and in the kiddie pool too while we enjoyed our drinks:
028640x480.jpg

Time got away from us and we realized we needed to get the kids changed and head out to the Boardwalk so we could catch some July 4th fireworks. We headed back up to their room and got changed. When we went up to the room Matthew was VERY sweet and gave Lauren his stuffed dog he had won earlier during the Boardwalk games. It was SO sweet and I can’t tell you how much it meant to Lauren, she STILL sleeps with it every night : )
We headed down and the Boardwalk was HOPPIN! They had lights and a DJ with music pumpin’ it was great.
The kids had a blast dancing. I tried to get photo’s but it was dark:
034640x480.jpg

035640x480.jpg

We found a great bench to hang out until fireworks time:

Lauren and Eric:
040640x480.jpg

Diane and her boys:
044640x480.jpg

Diane had brought a TON of glow necklaces and glowy things so the kids had a blast with those:
042640x480.jpg

045640x480.jpg

047640x480.jpg

It was a great time, we saw the Hollywood Studio’s and Magic Kingdom fireworks in the distance and WITHOUT crowds which was a huge plus. We had a great night. We were going to stay for the closer Epcot fireworks but Luke had a headache and began feeling “yucky” so we headed out. I felt bad at first but Diane said she had a headache too so it made me feel better.
Once again we went with a cab back to the Grandstand, it was only $11.00 with the traffic, SO WORTH IT!!! What a WONDERFUL/MEMORABLE 4th of July!!!

Leslie - do you by any chance remember how much the bats were to make in DTD? My son would love !! thanks so much!

:thumbsup2 Great update. Thanks again for the SSR pics. I love it more every time I see it. :cloud9:

::yes:: I agree about going with another family and getting adult time; it rocks. The two times we have been to WDW it's been with our wonderful friends and their kids and I wouldn't have it any other way. :grouphug:

What a fabulous 4th! A great day with friends. ESPN looks great, we tried to get in once and waited in line forever. We finally gave up and headed to DTD for dinner.
