Been There, Done That and ThenSome:Timandlesley Do Disneyfor18days!11/2 TR IS UP!pg79

GOOD GRAVY was it crowded at HS! :rotfl2: I'm curious too if it was an EMH or Fantasmic night, or just because of the 4th of July holiday approaching? :lmao:

I'm also still waiting and wondering about the lady and the bears... Hmm

Heather

You aren't kidding about the crazy crowds at DHS!!! Was it a Fantasmic or EMH night?

Glad Tim was renting an ECV to get the weight off his knee! How has it been since you all have been home?

Poor Lauren -- Chelsea is the same way -- she is so outgoing, but if she had to get up in front of a crowd, she would just die on the spot.

I am cracking up over the greens with whipped cream and sprinkles! Sprinkles can save a lot, but I don't think even they can reduce the nastiness of greens! Eeewwww!

Okay, Luxo, Jr. is too cute!!! I can't wait to see him when we get back to DHS! :goodvibes
It wasn't an EMH night but it was a Fantasmic night. His knee is still in Physical therapy but getting much better day by day!

Great update.
It looks like you had a great time at 50's Prime Time (except for Tim). I feel bad for the people who report that they went there for the experience with the waitresses and they get one who really isn't into the "character". I'm glad your family had a good waitress.

The crowds look crazy!! Was it a Fantasmic night?

I have been debating skipping American Idol.. but now I'm thinking we might fit it into the schedule. Do you know how many shows they have per day? How long does the show last?

Thanks for sharing.. I'll be looking forward to your next installment.
Yes, it was a Fantasmic night. Prime Time was great! Idol is great, there are tons of shows throughout the day, it lasts about 30 minutes - worth it for sure!

Looking forward to seeing what you do on your day away from the parks.:goodvibes
Coming up!
Oh my gosh!!!! Well, Lesley and Tim!! I just got caught up with ya'lls report!!!! Woooo hoooooo!!!! :lmao:

So funny about the greens covered in whipped cream! There is NO WAY I could have ate any of that! Ewwww!!!

Love all the pictures!! You are all still so darn photogenic!!! :goodvibes
Glad you got all caught up and are enjoying things. Thanks for the photogenic comment : (

All caught up on the updates. Poor Tim-hope his knee is better now. looks like some fun times. Thanks for doing new stuff-now I can do it when we go back :)
Glad you are all caught up, more coming tonight
Despite the crowds, look like you had a great day

Glad Lauren got to see HSM 3 show :cheer2:

Tim's greens and ice cream looks delicious ;)

Never knew about Luxo Jr...that is so cool :wizard:
We did have a great day despite the crowds. Luxo Jr. was just released the week we were there, he is brand new!

Great update! Wow, DHS looked PACKED! Even still, you guys definitely managed to get in some faves. :thumbsup2

I love 50's PT. Having a fun server really does make the experience, though. Your's definitely fit the bill. :rotfl2:
Glad you enjoyed the update.

WOW! What a crazy busy day at the park! Those Crowds looked horrendous!

Aw Poor Tim and the green veggies! But oh soo funny!

Another one added to the list "to do"!!!

Loving every minute of your report its just brilliant and it brightens up my not so fabulous days just now reading every next installment!

Hi Careen, it was crazy busy but a fun day. So glad you are enjoying things, more to come tonight!

Oh my goodness, those crowds were brutal!!!

Lol at greens with whipped cream. Ick, too gross for my book! I bet next time Tim remembers to order corn or green beans.;)

Your TOT shot was great! Love your family pictures at PTC also!!:goodvibes

Looking forward to your resort day! SS is a great place to relax!!

Yes, brutal is a good word for the crowds, it was CRAZY!
Good Morning from GA!
Glad to see that you guys had a great day despite the large crowds.

Last Sept. we ate dinner at 50'sPTC with 2 other families...there were 11 of us total. 5 adults 6 kids... we were outnumbered. They sat the kids at a separate table. We all had great food but our waitress was loud, bossy, and somewhat intimidating. We had the same wacky CM you did, Janice. She had me laughing all through dinner. She gave my DH a really hard time because he kept wanting refills on his water. Check out these 2 pictures of her feeding my DS greenbeans. Thankfully, they were not covered in whipped cream & sprinkles. I can't remember if he actually ate them or what became of those green beans. We love the PTC.

Looking forward to more...:surfweb:

TTFN,
Darlene
Darlene,
That is too funny, thanks for the pics, so glad we were seated in her section, great memories for sure!
What a fantastic day! You relaxed, had to deal with crowds, but still had time to do everything you wanted (except RNRC). This trip gets more and more magical by the day!
It was a great day, I was surprised how much we got done in those crowds.

Greens and Whipped Cream? That looked horrible........ I just love when you have a great CM at Prime Time. I also never thought to request a tv table, maybe next trip I will do that.

Once again I learned something new from your TR, never knew the name of the lamp from Pixar.

Those crowds at DHS sure look large, that is an endorsement for getting in early and hitting the popular attractions before it gets too crowded.:scared1: I know that you have been so often, so I totally understand why you are trying a more relaxing touring plan. I think you will be pleasantly surprised with the crowd levels in October.:cutie:
It was horrible but Tim was a great sport. Luxo Jr (the lamp) is new, we were thrilled to see him. Yes, can't wait until October.

Lesley.....what was UP with those crowds?!?!?!?! Was it a Fantasmic night?!?!?!? They sure looked scary if you ask me!!! CRAZY!!!! I loved your story about dinner.....poor Tim though!!! YUCKY GREENS!!!! Sounds like you are in for some relaxing tomorrow!!! Can't wait!
The crowds were CRAZY, yes it was a Fantasmic night, we didn't see it this trip for this reason.

Looks like fun! Are you going at the same time next year or will you be able to avoid July 4th? I know you guys went earlier in your other TRs. I'm amazed at all you got done with those crowds though. We planned our HS day so that we could see Fantasmic and now I am thinking that was not a good idea. Maybe we should avoid HS on that day. It seems like HS is very crowded in the TRs I am reading lately. I think it must be b/c of the new Fantasmic schedule. It is only showing twice while we are there.:sad2: Do you remember if it was showing on this night that you were there?

We will have to check out that AI show. We don't watch it on TV, but it looks like fun. How long is it?

So how did Lauren like TOT? I'm surprised she rode that after being scared on other stuff. She is very brave! None of us would ride TOT last year!:scared1: And how about PTC? I remember the last time you were there, Lauren didn't like the humor. I think my DD might be put off by it too and not "get it". She looks like she had fun this time though.
Lauren loves TOT she just gets scared in the line, but loves the ride, she's always been my thrill seeker. Yes, this was a FAntasmic night, it was so crazy crowded!

Too funny about the green beans!

I've never seen this before:
065640x480.jpg

Very cool!
Luxo Jr. was newly released the week before we got there, brand new, we were thrilled he came out when we were threre!

Great update! Sooo funny about Tim and the greens.... :rotfl2: Looks like a fun day (minus those awful crowds!! )

It was a fun day, glad you enjoyed reading about it.
I can't believe those crowds at DHS!! Too bad you didn't get on RnR, but at least you got on TSM! We loved that one!

50's Primetime looked so funny with all the green bean drama, we ate there recently and had a great time!

Can't wait for more! :goodvibes
The crowds were CRAZY! I know I was thrilled we got to ride TSM!
Lesley

HOLY COW, those crowds!! Luckily, I have never been to WDW when it was that crazy! We always go the end of Aug or Sept. (Hopefully for you next trip this year you won't have all those crowds).

We have never eaten at 50's PTC! Looks kinda fun, I guess you need to go in with a good sense of humor, huh??!!
Crowds were SO crazy!!! 50's is fun, we've always had good servers but this year was the BEST!!! Yes, you have to have a sense of humor here or you will be offended and miserable.

Awesome update Lesley!!! I don't think that I have ever seen DHS that crowded before! WoW!!!
Glad you enjoyed it, I haven't either, it was insane.
Oh my goodness! Those crowds were insane!! :scared1: That is too funny about Tim and the greens--I bet they tasted worse with the whip cream  And I love the crazy pic of you at dinner, Leslie. I'm glad Lauren got to see HSM3 and that Luke ended up enjoying Playhouse Disney! Fun day! :thumbsup2
Yes, they certainly were! Glad you enjoyed the pics and the update, thanks for reading/posting.

Holy moly! Those crowds were insane. I'm glad you were able to have a fun day despite all of those people.

Yes they were, we did have fun, glad you enjoyed it.
:thumbsup2 Great review. Icky crowds! :scared: You have convinced me to try 50's!
Icky crowds indeed! Yes, give it a try!

GREAT update Lesley! I remember you talking about how CRAZY the crowds were and your pics. prove it...that is INSANE!!! So glad you were able to work the fastpasses a little bit! TOO funny about your 50's PrimeTime experience! Why does it not surprise me that Tim is behind all the antics!:rolleyes1 So glad Lauren finally got to see HSM 3 show! What a fun day and I cannot believe the HISTK playground was SO CROWDED...YUCK! Loving your report, of course!:goodvibes
Hey Diane!!! Glad you enjoyed it. Yes, the pics prove what I was telling you about, loving yours too ; )
Joining in here. Norway was our favorite of the Kim Possible adventures, too. Well, we only did Mexico and Norway, but Norway was really awesome. My daughter was really psyched about the picture on the magazine cover and asked me where we could get a copy of that magazine . :) I also LOVED it when our clues would scare or intrigue other people. Like in Mexico, at one point we got a clue from one of the parrots in a cage and then another clue was from a skeleton marionette and people were gathering around wondering what was going on. Oh, and one of the statues in Norway really scared an older lady walking by, then I explained to her and she really thought that was "something". Kim Possible is definitely a great addition to the World Showcase and we are looking forward to doing more of the adventures in November.
Thanks for joining in, yes that Norway adventure was so cool! I know, it was so funny watching people see how our phones would make things work, such fun!
Hi guys.. just caught up! Loving your report. You have such a beautiful family! I am jealous that you got to spend 18 days in WDW... that truly is a dream come true. I can't wait for my next tri p but it may be a while since my son is only 6 weeks old! Cant wait to read more! popcorn::
Glad you are all caught up, another update coming tonight. Thanks for all of your compliments, you are too sweet!
Another great update! Glad Lauren was able to finally see the HSM show. That's funny about the lady who got really into it. When we saw it last Dec. there was a guy who was picked and was enjoying himself too. So funny!

I can't wait to try the American Idol show. It looks great!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the update! You will love American Idol, it is great!

Ahhhh!!! I was two episodes behind...a lot went on in days 11 and 12! We have never done anything in Innoventions...I think we will have to try some of the stuff out...looks like fun! I can't believe the crowds at DHS...why??? We have eaten at 50's two times and were not planning on doing it during our Dec trip, but after your fun reminding me how much I love it, we may!!
Glad you are caught up now. The crowds were crazy, it was a Fantasmic night which contributed.
It looks like you made the best out of a very crowded DHS!! We loved American Idol in May. I did not expect to like it as much as I did & I watch the show!! Glad Lauren got to see High School Musical 3 & very surprised she did not want to participate! Also surprised you got TSM fast passes but not RNR. I would have thought it would be the other way around. Looks like a fun time at PTC. Janice looks like she really gets into her role. I guess one reason for the crowds is that it is the first week of July.
Yes, we did make the best of it. Janice was AWESOME!

I swear, my mom has seen this woman the last couple of times she has been to WDW. When I was reading your post, I knew it sounded familiar, then I saw the pic and it was the same lady I remember from my mom's pictures. It's like you can tell just to see her something is not quite right, so I am interested to read later what the rest of the story is. I can also totally see my DH walking up and asking the lady about the bears.
Yes, she probably has, she is there a LOT, more to come.

I'm finally all caught up - I've been reading your updates late at night, when I'm too tired to comment. It's great you had so many days, so you could have the luxury of sleeping in, or not mind the crowded park!

Lauren really was beautiful in her princess dress! I enjoyed Tim and Luke's day out, too!

Boy, they really are tough on you at PTC! I don't think I could eat the greens, either, even with whipped cream:goodvibes

I'm glad Tim was able to get the ECV.
Loved how you created your own personal video game at Epcot
It's great they have so many activities at the resorts - makes for a nice "down day" if you choose to stay out of the parks
I never noticed the little spotlight guy at TSM - I'll have to watch for him!

I feel bad for people who haven't figured out how to "do" Disney - they wait all year for their trip, only to have the wait times 120 minutes:eek:

Looking forward to more!popcorn::
Glad you are all caught up, thanks for all the nice comments. I know, doing Disney right really does make a HUGE difference.
Lesley

Well, my kids went back to school on Monday, and what have I been doing? :rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Catching up on your report of course! ::yes::

Sorry about Tim's knee acting up again. Glad the ECV worked out for you.

Loved the Boy/Girl day reports. Those are going to be treasured memories for all of you.

I'm with Tim.....whipped cream and sprinkles still doesn't make greens any better. :sad2: I would have had to offer to wash dishes or something. :rotfl2:

Can't believe the insane DHS crowds. :scared1: I guess it was close to the 4th, but WOW!! Glad you had 18 days, so you didn't feel like you had to try and see things with that crowd. Looks like you still enjoyed your day.

Sad about the pizza at pizza planet. I remember my DD and I splitting a kid's meal in 2008. It was plenty for both of us. Of course, she doesn't eat much anyway.

Can't wait to read the rest! :thumbsup2
Glad your kids went back to school so you couldkeep up : ) : ) Happy you are enjoying the TR. The crowds at DHS were CRAZY! Stinks about the pizza, couldn't believe it but can't say I'm surprised : )
Wow, that is some crowd level!! I'm surprised you even got TSM FP's. Love the older lady hoop it up at the High School Musical show. We get in "disney mode" while we're there. My soon to be 12 year old won't wear the disney shirts around home any more, but she's all cool with it while we're at Disney. That is what it's all about.

Note to self: if I ever eat at 50s Prime Time, make sure I do not order anything that has greens for the side. :rotfl: I'm with Tim, bring me ANY vegetable EXCEPT greens. I just couldn't do it. I can just imagine the kids cracking up as he tried to hide them. My 2nd grade teacher insisted on us trying everything. I very distincly remember opening my milk carton after finishing my milk and stuffing in some greens to hide them and make it look like I tried it. And a few other school cafeteria stories, I wouldn't want my kids to know about...:rotfl2:

I've never seen the pixar light out..thanks for letting us know. I'll have to look out for it.

Getting excitded for my Dec. trip. We get to make dining ressies in a few weeks. BTW, did you see it's going back to 180 days, starting Oct. 27th.
Yes, good note to self, no greens at PTC : ) The Pixar Luxo Jr. is brand new, hope you get to see him in December. Yeah, I saw that, interesting!
Your crowds at HS look just like they did for us in the middle of June. I think it has something to do with Fantasmic only playing two or three nights a week now. CRAZY! If that's still the deal next year, we will not be going on a Fantasmic night. We didn't even end up going to the show, which Sophie really missed. She loves that one.

We loved the AI show too! It was so much fun. We really hadn't planned on going to see it. We were walking by and a show was about to start so we decided to give it a try - glad we did!

We had our first PTC experience this year. Got a TV table and didn't even ask for one. That was lucky! We had a pretty good server - not as crazy as yours but she was fun.

After meeting Lauren and knowing that she doesn't seem shy at all, I'm really surprised she wouldn't join in the HSM3 show. Maybe next time.
Hey Alice, crowds were great when we got there but got increasingly worse as the 4th approached. I was bummed we missed Fantasmic this year too, it's my favorite- oh well I definitely can't complain. Surprised me about Lauren too! Maybe next year!?!
Hi Lesley! I can't wait for the next installment--you have a beautiful family and I get so many wonderful Disney tips from you. That is great that you are a teacher and get the summers off. Is Tim also a teacher? Thanks for sharing your trips with us!
Hi, glad you are enjoying things, another installment tonight. Tim is a DJ and DVD slideshow production guy from our home so he stays home with the kids. It makes for great opportunities to travel in the summer.

GOOD GRAVY was it crowded at HS! :rotfl2: I'm curious too if it was an EMH or Fantasmic night, or just because of the 4th of July holiday approaching? :lmao:

I'm also still waiting and wondering about the lady and the bears... Hmm

Heather
Good Grave is right!?! It was a FAntasmic night and the fact 4th was appraoching. More to come on the teddy bear lady

Day 13 – July 3rd
Well, we had decided not to do a park today based upon the crowds we experienced yesterday so we slept in until 9:45 again- HEAVENLY!!! We headed up to Artist Pallet for breakfast, the line was INSANELY long, this place is just WAY too small. The line was wrapped through the gift shop and the wait was over a half an hour for breakfast.
After breakfast we discussed our plans for the day. Tim had his fill of pool day lounging so he wanted to go to DTD to catch a movie, so he headed out to watch his movie and the kids and I got changed and headed to the Springs pool.
002640x480.jpg

It was a perfect pool day, nice and hot, I was very happy with our choice to lounge by the pool. The kids and I had a blast swimming!
001640x480.jpg

I enjoyed some sun bathing until Luke decided he wanted to come block my sunshine (love this picture of him):
003640x480.jpg

We saw this from the pool area (the Characters In Flight Balloon at DownTown Disney):
004640x480.jpg

The kids and I ate lunch pool side from Artist Pallet, it was another KILLER line and mediocre food for the kids- but it was lunch poolside so we were all happy.
After lunch the pool area at Springs was SO crowded, you could barely squeeze through people in the water so we decided to stop swimming and do something else.
We put shirts on and headed into the Community Hall for a bit. Luke enjoyed some video games:
005640x480.jpg

Lauren enjoyed playing with the block area and building a tower:
006640x480.jpg

007640x480.jpg

Then we headed back to the room to get showered and changed for dinner. We passed by the Grandstand pool and the sprayers were on but the bar and drink station were closed and the pool was closed due to “cleaning”. No wonder the Springs Pool was so crowded.
Tim met us back at the room. We all showered and got ready for dinner at Chef Mickey’s and we were at the bus stop to the Magic Kingdom by 4:00:
008640x480.jpg

We had to wait a while for the bus, it finally came at 4:30, since we were close to our 5:00 reservation by the time we arrived at Magic Kingdom, so instead of taking the monorail we just walked across to the Contemporary:
009640x480.jpg

010640x480.jpg

We walked right by Bay Lake Tower:
011640x480.jpg

I CAN’T WAIT TO STAY HERE IN OCTOBER!!!!!
012640x480.jpg

013640x480.jpg

We finally got to the Contemporary right around 5:00 for our reservation time.
We took the escalator up to Chef Mickey’s
014640x480.jpg

016640x480.jpg

We checked in for dinner and were seated instantly. I didn’t realize 5:00 was the first seating for dinner, and it worked out great being seated with no wait.
017640x480.jpg

We had a good seat by the kitchen and right by the buffet. In the past Tim and I haven’t liked this buffet but I must say, it seemed they made some improvements, it wasn’t stellar by any means but it was a decent meal.
The kids were in Heaven! Donald came by the table first:
018640x480.jpg

019640x480.jpg

020640x480.jpg

Then Mickey came by:
021640x480.jpg

022640x480.jpg

ME AND MY BOYFRIEND!!!
023640x480.jpg

Then Minnie Mouse came by ( I love the excitement on Lauren’s face in this picture):
024640x480.jpg

026640x480.jpg

TIM AND HIS GIRLFRIEND!!!!
027640x480.jpg

CONTINUED IN NEXT POST!!

Time to celebrate with Mickey and his friends, Tyson and Shae wanted to join in on the fun!
028640x480.jpg

029640x480.jpg

031640x480.jpg

We all had fun celebrating!
035640x480.jpg

034640x480.jpg

036640x480.jpg

After all of that celebrating we were hungry for desert. Luke was thrilled with the chocolate oreo Mickey’s:
037640x480.jpg

038640x480.jpg

Then Goofy came by:
040640x480.jpg

Then Pluto came to our table:
044640x480.jpg

As we were getting up to leave Mickey had made a full rotation, so we got to see him again:
046640x480.jpg

047640x480.jpg

After dinner we knew Diane and her family were there because we had been texting with them. We saw them on the way out and just stood there staring them as they were eating from afar to see if they would look up, they didn’t, so Tim texted “we’re watching you” and they looked up and were laughing at us stalkers ; )
We told them we’d meet up with them after they were done eating. We took some time shopping around while waiting for our friends;
048640x480.jpg

049640x480.jpg

When Diane, Bryan, Eric and Matthew met up with us, we wanted to hang out for a while so the kids voted on the arcade. Diane and I voted that the guys should bring them in and we’d sit outside the arcade and talk (I hate arcades). The kids had fun winning tickets:
050640x480.jpg

Then, as usual with arcades, they had fun trading in their tickets for prizes (aka crap that will be thrown away in a day : )
051640x480.jpg

The kids had a blast running around and being silly:
052640x480.jpg

This extremely nice blind gentlemen came by with his Golden Retreiver and we were missing our Golden Mickey so the kids asked to pet him, he was soooo sweet. Then he kept demonstrating to the kids all he could do:
055640x480.jpg

It was amazing. He was telling the kids how the dog knows exactly where his room is in the resort after only being there one time with him, how he tells him “go left” and he goes left, etc. The kids (and the adults) thought it was great. How nice of him to take the time to show the kids.
Luke got a whoopee cushion with his tickets, the kids had a BLAST sitting on that:
053640x480.jpg

Then………… it popped. Luke was like “I’m sure if I went in and said that it broke they’d give me another one!?!” We told him to give it a try, sure enough he emerged out of the arcade with another whoopee cushion and the fun continued. Until……………… it popped again!!! AGAIN Luke said “I’m sure they’d give me another one, they are defective!!!” We all were dying laughing. Well, this time he recruited Lauren. He hid behind a video game and brave Lauren went up to the counter and asked for another one. The guy told Lauren “tell your brother that this is the last one!” WE WERE LAUGHING HYSTERICALLY, I couldn’t believe his persistence and Lauren’s willingness to help him and him getting busted by the arcade workers, too funny! Well, the whoopee cushion fun continued. We then decided to get out of there. We took the VERY crowded monorail to the Magic Kingdom
056640x480.jpg

We hadn’t done parks all day and that Disney freak inside of me didn’t care about the crowds, I wanted to be emerged in the crowds and watch the July 3rd fireworks at Magic Kingdom, but when we saw the crowds everyone said “no way!!!”
057640x480.jpg

059640x480.jpg

There was a beautiful sunset at the Magic Kingdom, so we took advantage of the photo opportunity.
Me and Diane:

CONTINUED IN NEXT POST!

We didn’t want the evening with our friends to end, so we followed them back to the Boardwalk. We had fun walking around the Boardwalk area with them:
063640x480.jpg

We got caught up in the beauty of the night- you could see the fireworks from Epcot and we were watching that, looking at the games, and then Diane was showing us her balcony, and we were looking up and walking and found it and then we looked down and realized we had LOST LAUREN!!! I couldn’t believe it. I took off sprinting back were we had come from and saw her standing in front of a store back by where we were watching the fireworks crying with a CM from the store. GEEZ!!! I ran to her and hugged her and calmed her down. I said to Diane “now you’ve seen first hand how easy it is to loose Lauren”. She felt bad because we were looking up for her balcony when we lost her, not her fault at all, just something that unfortunately happens with us in Disney with Lauren – NEVER again!!! (here’s hoping).
Well, after we were ALL TOGETHER we enjoyed some games:
065640x480.jpg

066640x480.jpg

We bought the kids gigantic suckers:
069640x480.jpg

By then it was about 10:00-10:30 and we needed to head out. We were going to get a bus from Boardwalk to a theme park and then to Saratoga, but we saw a long line for the buses and taxi’s sitting RIGHT THERE, so we opted for the quicker option and took a taxi back to Saratoga- GREAT decision, we were dropped off right in front of our elevator up to our room at Grandstand and it only cost us $9.00 for the taxi- YEAH!!!
We were in our room quickly, enjoyed some t.v. and fell asleep easily. Another day in paradise!!!
NextEpisode14640x480.jpg

Sounds like a great nonpark day :goodvibes

So, what movie did Tim see? Curiosity got the best of me :rotfl:

That is too funny about texting Diane and her family that you were watching them...

Whopee cushions rock :thumbsup2

Boardwalk looks like fun. How scary that must have been to have lost Lauren. Glad she was okay.

With those crowds, so easy to happen to anyone :goodvibes

one more thing...Love your shirt :lovestruc Where did you get that at?

Lesley, looks like you had a nice resort day, even with the crowds. SSR really needs to make another food area - they keep expanding the resort, but not the food venues.

The contemporary area looks really cool!:thumbsup2 I always think it doesn't look exotic enough to want to stay there, and I can't help but think of Austin Powers when I see the pics of BLT (sorry, just my opinion ;)) But the restaurants and monorail look so fun!

The blind man was so nice to spend time teaching the kids!
I try to avoid arcades, too! Funny how much fun they had with the whoopee coushion! :rotfl2: Can't wait to see how the 4th went!

Great report so far... :thumbsup2

Don't you just love those cheap prizes that the kids get with their tickets... Luke was lucky to have gotten several replacements.. lol

I know I may be jumping the gun but did you guys do the Characters in Flight Balloon ride at DTD?

What a wonderful day! We absolutely LOVED Chef Mickey's! It was definately our favourite meal on site! We didn't have free dining so we did very few onsite sit down meals but that was definately our favourite!

We felt the choice was great and the characters were fab with the kids!

Anyhow sounds like another lovely chilled day and the photos are fab as always!

I love the T-shirt you are wearing! I have something similar in Pink but its Sorcerer Mickey fighting a dragon alot like the one that Malificent turns into in Sleeping Beauty with the castle - I love mine!

Keep 'em coming Lesley just loving reading them!

I have decided that 18 days in WDW is the "only" way to do it! Sleeping in, relaxing non-park days, really taking your time and enjoying being together and with friends. It all sounds so great!!!

Sorry for the scare with Lauren! Glad you were reunited so quickly.

I didn't remember that you were staying in BLT for your Oct trip! :thumbsup2I can't wait to hear all about it!!

Lesley, it looks like you guys had a great time, but WOW--the crowds. I have never been there during peak season so it is hard for me to even imagine! We really enjoy Saratoga Springs--we love the Turkey sandwich at Artist's Palette---I think about it when I am home making a plain old turkey sandwich!!!

Sorry about losing Lauren! Our kids tend to be too comfortable in Disney and like to wander...nerve racking!

Take care and I am looking forward to the next installment!

Great pictures! That was quite a tower Lauren built and she looked very cute with the princess hat and her Minnie shirt!! Loved the one of Luke "blocking your sun and him with the kids in front of the fireworks!

Taking the taxi seemed like a great idea and a much nicer way to finish the night.:thumbsup2

Sounds like a great day all around! I can't believe the crowds!!!! No way would i have gone in to the MK either. The boardwalk looks like so much fun, I really want to try to get there in Sept. Great update!:goodvibes

So is the boardwalk worth the trip? I've enjoyed this TR so much. Now I want to know if we will be getting a PTR for October!! I'm so glad you get to go in the fall. We went last November and LOVED it then. Now you need to try and arrange a Christmas trip! Then one during Flower and Garden Festival in the spring.............. and the list goes on!!

Oh no, that must have been so scary when you couldn't find Lauren! Looks like she enjoyed her big lollipop though. :)

I also love your t-shirt...that is so cute!

Wow!! It was sure crowded at MK too!!! You must have been terrified when Lauren was lost! It is the scariest feeling in the world. So glad she was safe!

You may be waiting till the end of the report to
talk about how you felt staying for almost 3 wks.
Do you think that will for the norm for your summer
trip?? It had to be nice to have those extra days to just
relax and avoid the crowds!:goodvibes
