Bedspread question

I'd like to take the bedspread off the bed when we arrive and leave it off for our entire stay. Where can I put it in the room where Mousekeeping will not put it back on the bed? Has anyone done this?

PLEASE don't comment in this thread about how gross they are...almost check in time! :flower3:

Thanks for any ideas!

We have put ours on the floor of the closet and mouse keeping didn't touch it.

We fold it and put it either in the closet area or the area between the bed and the wall.

I thought they washed them with each bedding removal? Ive seen bags of laundry with the bed spreads when cleaning rooms..:confused3

I fold it neatly and put it on the shelf in the closet if I don't need the space for clothes.

If I need the space for clothes it goes on the floor of the closet.

Sometimes housekeeping would still put it back on the bed though.

This.

So far Mousekeeping has taken the hint.

We always put ours in the corner of the room, and they always end up back on the bed. I have to remember the closet trick. Do you know how dirty those things are? :lmao:

Please someone tell me they are are changed and washed after each reservation..:sad2::confused:

Sorry but no. Most hotels don't. That is why one chain is making such a big deal out of the fact that they do wash the bedspread between guests in their commercials.

Last trip I took the one off of my bed, and put it up on the shelf near the sink. It stayed there the whole trip, no problems. I also asked for extra blankets, and housekeeping remade the bed with them on the whole time.:thumbsup2

Hmmm, this could solve my problem of picking hotels based on the bedspread. If it's ugly, I can just put them in the closet!:rotfl:

Disney does. And it is becoming common in the industry, not totally so but the number of chains doing this has increased.

I thought so, I know it the past when we have gone when you see housekeeping or mousekeeping whatever its called, in the hallways I have seen bags with the bedspreads mixed in with sheets. Disney does hold pretty high standards and it would actually surprise me if they didnt. Thanks for confirming this..

You can also call mousekeeping and ask them to replace anything in your room that you are uncomfortable with and they will. So if you want brand new anything just give them a call.

The only resort that ever gave me grief is CSR. :confused3

Oh my, I never knew that Disney's spreads were in question, either. I'm glad to hear that they are supposed to be clean. I'll be at AoA in November and at least I know ours will be new, anyway. LOL
