Bed Bugs at DL hotel.....

Uggggggghhhhh! :scared: :scared1: :crazy2:

In September, we stayed at Best Western Anaheim Inn (next to Tony Roma's), and although we debated over it...I'm quite sure the bug we had in our bathroom was a cockroach...ick!

Bugs are unacceptable!

well guys,
I just got back from the Disneyland Hotel and NO BITES!!! Yep, I did the check first thing and sprayed the old Lysol, but everything was great. WE had a great time and I would stay there again.

must tell you (from having lived in FL for a few years as a child) everyone we knew had the exterminator come in once a month...it's just a very buggy place, some places even have issues with frogs;)

guess it's a trade off for living in near tropical conditions, they thrive in the warm, damp weather.:confused3

If you get up early enough in the am @ WDW, you'll find the big trucks that roam around the grounds spraying all the foliage to keep the critters @ bay.

ps - i sat up ALL night (while DH & DS slept like babies) with a flashlight shining it off & on towards the wall...they'd scamper back down behind the sofa bed:upsidedow still gives me the creeps. I should've gone & slept on a couch in the lobby in my nightgown, maybe then the mgr would've appeared.

ICK!!! I really feel for you! I don't know how you managed... I'm thinking, had you slept with all of the lights on in the hotel room, burning bright, they might not have come out at all?? What do the rest of you guys think, would this be an option, should any of us find ourselves in this situation?

From someone who lives in the Deep South (Houston) I must say I hate bugs, but they will usually stay away from you. I have never seen a bugs in any of our Disney hotels. In fact, I find it amazing that you never even really see mosquitos on property. No matter what you do the stupid things will find their way in. Oh, and if it rains watch out, the big water roaches are the worst! Yuk:scared1: I know Disney does a good job of spraying for these creatures, but every once in awhile some sneak in:)
