Becoming Obsessive...

I interviewed for DLCP on Sunday...so a few more days until the obsessiveness kicks in again, I guess.

My girlfriend has now waited 6 weeks, 3 days for her response to the WDWCP. I think she may be waiting the longest. She used to post her before I got rejected under the name Lauren in Wonderland. I wonder where she went. hmmm.

OMG I know! Except I was at the game tonight and it was AMAZING. The new lines are working well, and I LOVE that the Eurotwins (Dats and Z) were reunited! But, I do hope that Franzen heals quickly and gets back to playing.

Also, we were sitting in row 4, to the side of the goal an during a commercial break, Ozzie skated over to hand a puck to 2 little boys who were sitting right there. it was so cute. And then, right before the start of the 3rd period, Ovechkin threw his GUM through the hole. Classy..

Ozzie rocks! Yeah, the Joe is awesome.. the only bad sections are the ones behind the ads, so you can't see the jumbotron. Actually, the Joe is doing their student rush again, so if you bring your student ID to the box office, they will give you a lower bowl ticket for $45. They're single seats and sold day of, but it's still a good deal!

I only interviewed one week ago (October 6th) and have not received anything yet. I know I'm most likely being overly anxious and excited because I want this internship so badly, but if I have not received a pending letter yet, do you think it means I will be rejected?

What is a pending letter anyway?!

I feel as though I only did "okay" with my interview -- I was so nervous and anxious!

As does everyone, I just want to know now!! Do you think it would be beneficial to contact Disney about the status of my application, or is it too early? Will I look crazy? haha.....

Any help would be greatful

It's way too early to think about being rejected. Some people are accepted after a week, others wait 5+ weeks. I got my pending letter a couple weeks after my interview. I have been waiting 6 weeks since my interview. Pending is just a 50/50 chance to get in. You are not pending yet, you might not be pending at all and get a straight answer very soon. No worries yet! Hakuna matata! Once you get to my point, then you can freak out, like me.

Sorry, to make it more clear, here are the different possible scenarios -
1. you can get accepted by phone/email/letter after a week or through dec 1st
2. you can be rejected flat out by email/letter after a week or through dec 1st
3. you can get a pending letter a week or so after your interview and get an acceptance much later, who knows when through dec. 1st

You can call if you want, but all they're going to say is "your application is still being processed" or "your application is still being considered". Believe me, I've called 4 times AND I've spoken to a live recruiter at a campus presentation tonight. However, this will not affect your chances of getting in in any way.

It took 5 weeks and 2 days after my interview for me to get accepted, and I did not receive a pending letter in between. It really just depends. I had emailed them after 3 weeks, because the girl who interviewed me told me if I did not hear back in 2-3 weeks to call.. And I got a lengthy email back saying that they get a lot more applications then they have people there, so it takes time to process them all and to not contact them until after the 6 week mark.

Good luck! And the wait is a killer, but you'll get through!
