A few days ago I emailed the WDW CP and asked about adding additional roles to my application even though I already interviewed, not expecting them to let me...but apparently today is my lucky day ! Because someone called from the CP to do an unscheduled interview with me about the additional roles I wanted to add. It was short (8 minutes) and the only questions she asked were about the roles I wanted to add...and 1 question for each of them instead of a few questions for the ones I was most interested in.

I added jobs with higher demand like custodial, merchandise, and attractions (As well as FSFB, Recreation, Lifeguard, and housekeeping). The only high-demand job I didn't add was QSFB because that is pretty much the only job I know that I would hate.

I asked what this did to the status of my application and she said it made the pending basically go away and it is like starting over...so I've got more time to wait but hopefully better chances now!

Way to be proactive!!! I am SO SO SO happy for you!

I had my interview thursday, i think it went well. I was very flexible so hopefully they liked that.

Accepted or rejected I need to know! I don't know how I can wait this long! I am praying that I find out earlier than 4 weeks D=

I can't see myself anywhere else but Disney right now though.

Update: I've been waiting 1 month and almost 5 days. This waiting has made me a bit stressed and irritated. I will be in a better mood when/if I get that darn purple folder/e-mail. I know this is a good test of patience, but I much rather deal with whining bratty kids at Disney.

I got my thank you email today and had the phone interview Friday morning. I'm literally checking my email on my iPod touch about 3 times an hour for the next email!

I interviewed the morning of the 23rd, got the thank you email on the 24th, and am still paitently waiting to receive the elusive acceptance (or rejection...)email.

I'm pretty sure that everyone around me is tired of hearing about it lol

I was considering starting a blog so that I could spare my friends/family here that mostly don't have a clue as to what I'm talking about; however, I'm kind of trying not to build this all up any more than I already have. If I get rejected I'm going to be quite sad

Though I would try to stay positive and reapply next semester

Reading the comments from others who are going through the same thing I am helps. Some... lol

January 25th I wanted to pick one of the later dates so that I would have some time to pre-pay all of my bills before I go (car payment, insurance etc) as well as hopefully try to save a little bit of money so that I don't have to worry about it as much while in Florida

Thanks, Ash! I haven't gotten to accept yet, but all us CS people arrive on February 8th! I can't wait to meet you, either!

Aww sorry! Yea I've posted in other threads I think, but anyway I thought I should calm down on the boards b/c I don't want to give off too much negative energy. I have no good news here. I have been waiting 5 weeks now. I understand that DL has JUST started accepting ppl like a couple days ago, but it's really unfair that some ppl have gotten accepted (to DL) after interviewing in just a WEEK! It's a real blow. Staying positive is extremely difficult these days. Sorry. Being rejected will be devastating, but even worse is that I'm gonna need a job ASAP when I move to Cali. I am going to be so screwed if I don't get in. Having a BA in Liberal Studies isn't exactly a shoe-in at any place. But when/if I survive and I am rejected, I can "try again next time" because I'm continuing my education post-undergrad. (not grad school, just a more career oriented degree) So anyway, back to Disney... I've called 3 times now. I know I'm not supposed to call until Dec.1st, but I can't stand to wait that long. I know they can't give me an answer over the phone and I know it won't speed anything up...I'm just trying to ease my sanity a bit. It's not helping that much though.

If you don't hear from me, it's only b/c I haven't gotten an answer yet. Believe me, I will BLAST it to this board that I am accepted/rejected.
