As of tomorrow I'll have been waiting 3 weeks. I am looking at it as a halfway point, since it could take up to six weeks. Hopefully it comes before that, but knowing that I'm at LEAST halfway there helps me retain my sanity. Somewhat.

Thank you so much. I'm getting into a seriously desperate phase where I'm temping to apply to WDW. I applied to DLR because my boyfriend lives in L.A. and we've been in a LDR for 4 years. I was really looking forward to being with him upon my graduation. If I go to WDW it will be another semester or more longer. I really have to get in SOMEWHERE because my lease on my apartment ends the same time as my graduation and I am still unemployed. I can't just move to Cali with no place and no job. I was thinking of living in a hotel for a while, but who knows how long I would find a job over there? even with a stupid college degree. What should I do?? I was thinking I could transfer to DLR after doing WDW since I'll be pursuing a 2nd degree (online) or just as a regular CM.

Yeah...why don't you do that? Apply as a regular CM at DLR? Would your bf let you live with him?

I'm sure that everything will work out for you. As the above poster asked, would your BF consider letting you live with him? Even just until you got on your feet? It would definitely be a change from being in a LDR for 4 years, but I'm sure he'd love to have you around
I wouldn't suggest going to Cali and living in a hotel; offer to help pay rent at his place first! Paying every week for a hotel would really add up (I tried staying in a crappy hotel off of Sunset Blvd. near Capital Records while I got on my feet when I was younger. It was horrible, to say the least, but I didn't know anyone so that may have been a factor.)

I would say apply at WDW and just see what happens! You could always reject the invitation... but I bet that you would have a lot of fun, make connections in the company and help your chances as far as transferring or becoming a regular CM at DLR, and your BF could always come visit you

Yea that would be great if he had his own place, but he lives with a family in a small house with 2 teenage boys...not gonna work. He doesn't have the money to get his own place yet (struggling artist type ugh). Sooo I dunno. I know applying to DLR as a regular CM is not a guarantee right now. They don't have a lot of positions open and it's extremely competitive. So I applied to WDW. I'm about to schedule my interview right now. I'm worried that if I don't get accepted to either of the programs I am going to be lost. No job. No home. Staying in Miami would be a major pain. Going back home to PA would be worse. So my last resort would be a hostel in L.A. and hope to God I find a random job asap.

I'm right there with you; however, I have been waiting 3 weeks and 2 days now.

It's gotten easier... lol but still a little nerve-wracking.

So it's official, I just interviewed for WDW! Now I'm in the running for 2 parks! I'm still hoping for DL, but WDW would just have to be a sacrifice I'll have to make. My baby supports me 100%, but it'll be really really REALLY difficult as it has always been.

Hello all...you offialy have another OBSESSED Disney fan!! haha!! I interviewed wed 10/14 and I am going nuts!!!!! I do not know how any of you are doing it who have been waiting 5-6 weeks....i would be pulling my hair out GOOD LUCK everyone!! Well the recruiter was showing off all the prizes that we could've won and my eyes lit up when I saw that pen. My favorite color is purple so I freak out every time I see it on anything. I was like, I have got to get that pen! So he asked us what cities are the other Disney parks located in. My hand shot up like a bullet! I was like, "Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Paris!" Then he was about to give me some other crappy thing and I was like oh nooo nuh uh, "Can I please have the purple pen?" And the girl sitting next to me was like, "Hehe I wanted that one too."

I now how you feel! I even get excited for Monday-Friday now because I know that is the day an email might come...and Sunday is killer because no regular mail or email! I read through the thread and saw some people getting accepted in as little as 4 or 5 days! I've been waiting 10, the anticipation is killing me! You just never know when you're going to get that notification
