It shouldn't hurt your chances.. I think I would email (or call) and just ask what went wrong and what you could do better for next time when you apply. I think I would probably also throw in there that you were accepted last time, and even added more roles this time. As long as you're not snotty or whiny about it, I can't see why they would look at it as a negative thing.
I think one of the difficult things about their selection process is that the person that interviews you, is not the one that decides if you're in or not. Somethings seems odd about that to me, especially since a written report of what someone says could convey a completely different personality from how the person actually is.
That was HUGE for me. I wish I knew what my interviewer wrote down! I'm sure she was faithful and honest...just wish I could have been recorded...?idk

Remember the Disney attitude when it comes to schoolwork. Walt wouldn't want you to slack! He loved education. Just throw all your energy into school until it's your day to celebrate!
After all these years in college, I've never had a class with so much work.
