Becoming a Jedi

Is it me?? Or does watching Star Wars Episode II make anyone fell like becoming a Jedi. I mean what a cool job and where do I get one of those light sabers. I know there are a few on these boards that share the same feelings as me.

LOL! This was a conversation I had with my sister after Ep 1 came out:
Me: When I'm a Jedi, I'm going to have a double sided lightsaber.
Sister -- looks at me strangely -- But you can't BE a Jedi!

Ha! Little does she know... *evil grin*

I think in the climate after Ep 6, it would be much harder to be a Jedi, given the legacy Vader and the Emperor left behind... That why my cats are named after X-Wing pilots, rather than Jedi Knights.

ah you joined the Sith, you follow the Dark Side Dan. I think all of the Sith are Destroyed in Episode 3 by Mace Windu anyway

Ahem. The Sith first appeared... Dang, actually, I don't know much of their history. There was a big battle in the early days of the Old Republic, and the Jedi Knights were formed.
With the Sith, there is a Master and an Apprentice. Darth Vader was the Dark Lord of the Sith - the apprentice. The Emperor was his master. Vader wanted to kill the Emeror, with Luke's help, and set himself up as Luke's Sith Master.

There were also other Dark Jedi at the time of Vader - I'm not sure if they were 'Sith' or just 'Dark Jedi.' For example - that cave in TESB, where Luke fights Vader/himself? Twisted with the Dark Side. Why? Because a Dark Jedi and Yoda fought there. (Yoda won.) The Dark Side acts like a molecule or some scientific thing, protecting Yoda from Vader. (When you get powerful Light Side and powerful Dark Side together, you can't see either. Magnets or something.)

Everytime it's on I gotta watch it!!! I bought one of those Jedi in Training shirts at Star Tours. Just wanted to work side by side with ST:E2 Anikin (wink wink) before he crosses over.

I would think that trying to be a sith lord would be pretty difficult. I mean, there's only two, the master and apprentice. Talk about a glass ceiling! And if there's only two, then any sith-wannabees would have to wait a while.
