I believe this post was a little sarcasm. Read the several posts about theft before it and then read it.
I think what they were trying to say is that a lot of people are being a little paranoid.
Nobody should worry. Just use common sense and keep valuables out of site and protected as well as you can. In the majority of cases, thieves will take what is the easiest to get to.
