I did my first load of laundry since the trip today and found my ticket from AK and a receipt for the yummy dipped pretzels from Goofy's Candy Co. in my pocket.....SNIFFLE, SNIFFLE Made me miss WDW, but even more so, it made me miss the L family (for those who don't know, my trip to WDW coincided with my move across the country). I'm excited about this new phase in my life, but I sure will miss the everyday moments with my loved ones on the East Coast!! Good thing I have some awesome Disney memories to carry me through 'til I visit in November (plus the secret going away card Leyla snuck into my luggage, which make unpacking a whole lot nicer! )

MMMM pretzels.... Hope you are settling in okay and good luck with your interview on Fri!!! Photobucket worked for me last night so when you get the chance you can look at the pics I loaded and put some of your AK ones up. Glad you liked the card!

Can't wait to hear all about it, I am sure it was a very wet trip.

I've been good, how are you?! How was your summer?? Great first update. The kids are so cute! Bella reminds me so much of my cousin Alison - she's in karate after hating ballet, and lives for all things Hannah Montana/Jonas Brothers/High School Musical The AKL is GORGEOUS! It's definitely one of my favorite resorts, even though we've only ever visited. It must be awesome getting to stay. I'm definitely looking forard to more!

We were checked into our rooms by a very nice, outgoing castmember (although I can't recall his name) They weren't ready for us yet but we were ready for AK park so no matter! Pierre was sitting in the lobby with the kids and that's where accident #1 happened to Cooper. No real meltdowns this time, thankfully, but if anyone gets hurt it's usually Cooper. I don't know if he's clumsy or what but.... I swear!

We get over there and he's sitting in Pierre's lap, tears streaming down his face. He was fooling around and hit his head on one of the big wooden tables. He recovered pretty quickly. As soon as we told him he could go in the pool Pierre's phone was dead so I gave him mine because Ecogirl had hers if we needed to make contact. REMEMBER, girls only to AK! We went to the bell desk and Ecogirl checked in her bags for the day I know it was tough for her since it seemed to be the only remaining things she had till she moved but if she was nervous about it when we were at the park she didn't show it. I noticed today was a morning EMH for AK and since it was about 10:30 or so I was internally freaking out about how packed it would be. Oh well!

We skipped down to the bus stop and only waited about 5-10 mins before we froze out butts off. Day-yung, those things are COLD! We knew we'd rather be cold in FL than NE though!

We got to AK and it looked pretty packed but there seemed to be an awful lot of people just standing around or going back to the bus area. Not us, we had a mission! We got our tickets and raced right through. FIRST STOP: Kilimanjaro Safari for our FP's

Since the Panjani Exploration Forest Trail was on our list AND next door to KS we hit them up. Man, there be some funky looking animals in that place! We saw these guys first

then this guy

I'm still looking at him like that! He was called an Okapi but I renamed him a zebraffe. Part zebra/part giraffe.

These fish looked really cool and there was a duck swimming around as well.

We got over to the hippo tank. To be honest we thought they were rocks till I overheard soemone say hippo and this one came up for air. I caught the pic perfectly!

I turned around and Ecogirl had the most disgusted look on her face and was trying to wipe her arm off vigorously. BIG, SWEATY GUY ATTACK Major grossness!!!!!! I kept an eye out for him that's for sure, didn't want anyone elses perspiration on me. Mines enough, thankyouverymuch!

I am off to work but will post some more of this day when I get back!!!!

Summer was good but busy. I loved AKL and it'll be hard to stay elsewhere! Hannah Montana is going to be at Foxwoods at the end of Sept. but the tix are $150-300. Bella doesn't really like her anymore because she heard about the pics online and that she wasn't being very nice. I have a VERY conservative girl
