Here is the picture of the Dawa bar

My pc virus is gone :cool1: so that means I can finally spend some time on here working on my report as well as reading others! I miss reading everyone elses TR's! I kept getting pop ups all over the screen, some with not very pictures KWIM, so I couldn't stay on too long and last week is just wasn't letting me do anything. I am very thankful I didn't lose any pictures bc that is what I was MOST paranoid about! Hopefully you'll all stick around now that I can be a regular again! :flower3:

Right, off to work on another episode! :thumbsup2

YUM!

That margarita looks GOOD!

I can't wait to hear about the smackdown!

Ya know what Julie, everytime I go out I spend forever looking at the martini menu's and nearly always stick to the same thing. It was delish, I love lime!!! the smackdown was at the Nick Hotel so we have a wait but I'll get there!

great update and pics.

I have to say the distorted pics are making me crazy, suffering from vertigo it is like I am having an attack. :lmao:

can't wait for more.

Aww, thanks Scott! Sorry for making you dizzy! My friend (who is reading here ) came over for a visit last week and I showed her our album. She said it was cool to see Ecogirl's real face and not my remix! I thought of you today because I ran into someone I used to work with and she was walking her 9 week old chocolate poodle puppy. SO freaking cute!!!! How is your dog walking?

Yay no more virus!

Hi Hedy, thanks, I'm SOOOOOO happy! We got it the day after we got home so I was literally 2 seconds away from dying. Practically. My sister said this morning she doesn't know how I made it :rotfl2:

OK partay people :yay: I am back on track (cause I'm back in black!!!) what is wrong with me?

We left Nemo and headed over to Kali River Rapids. We had some FP's to use :cool1: Again, NO WAIT! Unless you counted the people with the 15 month old who thought it would be cute to let him/her walk through the line. Uh, No-oh, it ain't! Lot's of exasperated "huh's!" came from me. Not for nothing but my kids weren't with me and I don't need some baby holding me up :rolleyes1

IMG_0712.jpg

We pushed past and stood behind a Brit family to wait for our raft. I noticed them earlier in the day due to their tweenage dau ghter. Who needed a bra. But wasn't wearing one. Under her white tank top.We put on our ponchos (thanks for the tip Julie!) and gave each other knowing glances. Or maybe they were shocked glances.

We jumped on our raft and the Brit family were having a good ole laugh. They had already done the ride today and were back for another go round. We all tossed our stuff in the center storage unit and started moving towards that first hill you go up really makes you think you are in for it! I think my girl E looked slightly panicked so I reassured her, although I could not really remember if there was a drop on the other side of it. The Brit family men removed their T-shirts too and tossed them in the storage section. Me thinks it would be better to keep them on :rolleyes1 MUCH better.

Here we are

IMG_0713.jpg

Dad Brit was loud! He was jabbering away to everyone and his daughter kept joing in, they really did seem like a fun crowd. We got to the section that Bella and I got totally bombed on last year but it was Dad and daughter this time. OK, we are talking tween + needsabrabutdoesn'twearone + white tank top = definetly not good :scared1: That's not the worst of it. Brit Dad actually made a comment about his daughter's tank being see-through and grabbed the top pretending to look down it. I had to pick my eyeballs up off the floor after that one. My goodness, I can't believe he did that!

The ride was over much too quickly, they totally need to add on to that one! We got off and headed over to the jungle walk so I could get the stuffed bat for Cooper that I wanted to get. It was huge and only $12, a bargain by Disney standards and I knew he would love it. We also hit up Outfitters to do a little shopping for Ecomom and Ecobro. I found a neat safari style hat for Pierre so I got that and Ecogirl found a totally cool ecoshirt for herself.

EcoGirlsT.jpg

I pretty much forced her to buy it cause it looked good on her and she needed to treat herself ! She got Ecomom a Pooh/tiger shirt that cracked us up.

EcoMomsT.jpg

This one is for Ecobro

EcoBrosT.jpg

We took our purchases and headed out of Animal Kingdom. What a great start to our vacay! :yay: No lines anywhere, great weather, fab company, a girl couldn't ask for more! Well, she could really but I had a wonderful time with my BFF :thumbsup2 so I was quite satismafied :goodvibes

We got on the bus and froze our butts off to the AKL. We called Pierre earlier to get our room numbers so we could head to the room. Ecogirl was quite relieved to get her laptop back and I took a shot of her by the sculpture in the lobby. I was totally in awe over the whole lobby, it's really fantastic. Dark, but simply stunning and I knew it was going to be hard for me to stay elsewhere. Off to the rooms! Our luggage had already been delivered, thank goodness!!!!!

P was pooped and laying on the bed but the kids were all fired up and raring to go :dance3: Rock on rockadoodle!!! I love the room and OMG we had a balcony. I's movin' up in the world, girlfriends! :snooty:

Well photobucket is not lettting me upload pics right now so I'll sign off but PROMISE another installment tonight or tomorrow morning! Bye for now!

I totally look like I'm being attacked by a feather in that above shot :rotfl2: I just looked at photobucket and saw that Ecogirl added some pics so I'll put them on here.

Here are some safari pics

I'll have another installment up tomorrow! Off to work.... :guilty:

Howdy everyone!! Just a few add-ons to Leyla’s report....

First, just FYI, the photo of the tiger that Leyla posted was from the Maharajah Jungle Trek, which we did before the Safari. The tigers were SOOO cool, and the rain stopped just in time for us to enjoy a leisurely, poncho-free stroll ....

There were loads of animals out but it was hard to get some of the shots. We'd all line up our cameras and Mr. Guide took off like a bat outta heck! Whatsupwiththat?!

This was SO true!!! I tried to adjust (that is, taking the shot before we had actually gotten to the animals), but that didn’t work so well. I sure got some lovely photos of trees and grass that way though!! :confused3

We saw the elephants too and there was a baby one, I didn't get a pick but Ecogirl might have so I'll let her post one if she did.

Leyla posted my Safari pics ... Baby Elephant is the one in the top photo (the second elephant pic is Momma Elephant, or maybe Papa Elephant ... Mr. Guide wasn’t quite that descriptive  ). The second giraffe pic is Baby Giraffe – you can tell because he’s lighter in color. SO CUTE!

We watched the Jungle Parade from our bar stools and enjoyed it. That was my first time seeing the AK one.

I only managed to get one shot of the parade for some reason ... I thought I had more, but at least I captured Goofy!! :)

Disney1084.jpg

I wasn't sure I had wanted to see the show because I knew you could see the people playing Nemo and the gang but I was VERY impressed. It was really god and worth it IMHO. Take it in if you get the chance!

I was a little unsure, too, but I LOVE Nemo and really wanted to at least give the show a shot!! I’m really glad we did ... it was so fun! You can see the actors holding the fish “puppets,” but the story is so lively that you kind of forget they’re there. It’s definitely worth checking out if you’re a Nemo fan :thumbsup2 I took a few photos, but you can't see anything in them since the show didn’t allow flash photography. At least you can see Nemo in the photos Leyla posted.

Um, mine was a shocked glance. Or maybe a sympathetic glance, on the daughter’s behalf. :sad2:

We also hit up Outfitters to do a little shopping for Ecomom and Ecobro. I found a neat safari style hat for Pierre so I got that and Ecogirl found a totally cool ecoshirt for herself.

Big thanks to Leyla for helping me decide on the fit (I’m soooooooo fussy about my T-shirts!)....it is the perfect Ecogirl T! :goodvibes

She got Ecomom a Pooh/tiger shirt that cracked us up.

That T-shirt cracks me up so much I laugh every time I even think of it!! I HAD to buy it, plus Ecomom loves tigers AND Pooh, so it’s perfect for her.

ME TOO! :hippie: And don’t forget....we kept pace with each other the whole day (that never happens to either one of us when we’re with other people ).

great update and pics.

distort away, no vertigo for 8 days. :woohoo:

I love that Pooh shirt. too cute.

Here we are on the balcony

IMG_0715.jpg

The room was great, I love the draping over the beds. The bathroom area was very nice too, the lighting was a little dim but I thought the wallpaper was pretty cool and I loved the granite color they chose for the counter. I snapped some pics

IMG_0716.jpg

Cooper was so psyched to get that bat! He immediately named him Bobby Bat and wouldn’t let go. I showed them the real bat pictures on my camera which were deemed “COOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLL”

IMG_0717.jpg

IMG_0718.jpg

Pierre didn’t like the hat so I wanted to return it and get my money back, hopefully they would take it in the AKL store. Bella informed me that they bought something for me, I needed it and it cost $75. Now, let me tell ya. I don’t like getting gifts. Why, you ask? Because I can’t fake liking something that I don’t like. I’m really quite surprised that Pierre bothered! Bella told me it was her idea and she picked it out. I felt bad but seriously, let me spend the $75. She wouldn’t tell me what it was but I guessed and she got mad at me. The week before I was looking at watches in Target and said I needed one for the trip. A cheap, sports looking one. Oh well.

We all freshened up for dinner in DTD, we wanted to hit up Wolfgang Pucks Express! I had Bella take a shot of Pierre and I in the rocking chairs then I got some of them on the tribal ladder

IMG_0722.jpg

IMG_0721.jpg

IMG_0723.jpg

After that we went to the store and thankfully they let me return the hat no problem! AND I guessed which watch it was. I knew I would not wear it so I asked Bella if she would be mad if I returned it. After she hit me she said “Fine. :snooty: You’re mean!” I hugged her and said thanks anyway. We headed out to the bus stop and waited about 10 minutes or so. Pierre went back into the store, probably for a drink. I swear, that guy. He TRIES to be late to get me going! He admits to it. I pace back and forth and declare that if the bus comes while he’s gone WE are getting on without him!

I LOVE this pic of Cooper, his eyes match the hat color

IMG_0724.jpg

My Belle

IMG_0725.jpg

Pierre comes back about a minute before the bus comes and we all jump on :woohoo: DTD here we come! We got off the bus and the first thing the kids saw was that area where the water shoots up. Kids+water=F. U. N. :yay: They got completely soaked!!!

IMG_0726.jpg

IMG_0727.jpg

IMG_0728.jpg

We really had to drag Cooper outta there and he was NOT happy about it :sad2: A promise of later seems to satify him though and we headed off to eat. I was starving!!! We found WPE easily and went in to order. We hit the line JUST right. Kinda. As in there wasn't one when we went in so we were first. I placed my order and got a shot of the kitchen area

IMG_0730.jpg

Then all heck breaks loose :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Just found this! I read your TR from last year and im looking forward to this one :)

All heck? popcorn:: popcorn::
Why was Bella wearing her hair down, in Fl in August?

Okay so I had JUST ordered our dinner at Wolfgang Pucks Express. I wanted the Chinois Salad, Peeps got the Chicken Pesto Foccacia, Cooper got pizza and Bells ordered chicken Finders. Pierre also got a Bud and I had a glass of white wine (probably Pinot) I gave my Disney Visa rewards card to the cashier for payment but it wouldn't go through. Or did it? I'm not too sure, there was confusion then a chef came upto my cashier and told him no orders for 10 minutes. Great, Ecogirl was the next person and she got cut off. Not only that but he wasn't sure if my card was charged or not :confused3 We were all baffled but he said I could have a seat and it would be sorted out. I hope so!!! The line got big fast after Ecogirl so who knew how long we/she would have to wait!

Pierre and the kids got a spot outside and were waiting for me.

IMG_0731.jpg

It was SO nice outside, the temperate was perfect and the seats were fairly empty. Our waiter was very friendly and professional, he had our receipt about 10 minutes later and explained that the sytem went down but I was only charged once so not to worry. Our food came quickly and it looked delicious! I forgot to tell them dressing on the side which I'm a stickler about, not calorie wise but I just don't like the taste of too much dressing. Not to worry as it was absolutley yummy! I wish I had one right now!

IMG_0735.jpg

Pierre's chicken foccacia, he loved it. He normally doesn't comment on his food but loved this!

IMG_0734.jpg

Bella and her food group

IMG_0732.jpg

Coop's pizza walking away by itself :rolleyes1 :lmao: sa-neaky!

IMG_0733.jpg

That poor kid gets ripped off SO much by her and it drives me nuts because he ALWAYS puts her first. Anytime he's with me he'll say "Lets get this for Bella" or "Bella can do it first" He's my sweetie  However, she said the pizza was FAB. Better than her Grandpa's :rolleyes1

We were a little concerned about Exogirl and I was just going to get up to see what was going on and she came out. I guess our line mojo ended and the computer crashed but alls well that ends well. She got the Chinoix Salad as well but was smart enough to ask for dressing on the side. She loved hers too so definetly a thumbs up from the L family and Ecogirl! :thumbsup2

I had my leftovers boxed up and took the kids to the carosel while Ecogirl and Pierre finished eating.

IMG_0736.jpg

IMG_0738.jpg

They met us over there and we checked out a few stores before going into Once Upon a Toy. Cooper was most determined to get a lightsaber :darth: sometime this week but preferably THIS night. We asked a lady at the register where they were and she told us. I was SO excited for him to do the "Make your own Lightsaber" but he wanted the ready made one. I tried to change his mind but to no avail. SO I let him get the one he wanted and he was SOOOOO happy! It was used many times that week! Who's a happy boy then?!

IMG_0742.jpg

IMG_0739.jpg

IMG_0740.jpg

We headed over to Legoworld or whatever it's called next. Bella had some dolla bills burnin' a hole in her pocket! She had to inspect everything in that shop and asked an employee if they had a robot Lego set that she had seen in abook. No luck with that but she finally got something she wanted. I think it was the Mars Lego set. Pierre got some batteries for the lightsaber and then Ecogirl had caught up with us. She wanted to look in the sports store and came back slightly frustrated by the volume of people. Yeah, DTD and all the parks can get a little crazazy  I was feeling a little nuts by that point too so we thought it would be good to head out. We let the kids play outside for a bit and I went to put Bella's change back in her wallet. She had some interesting stuff in there. a liscense she made, a "recipe" for a time machine, blueprint.... It was very interesting and funny, see if you can make the words out! I can't remember exactly what it said but it was quite interesting. She definetly creative.

IMG_0741.jpg

Goody's Candy Co. up next!!! Boy, did we have a good wander around! I had to round up the kids and keep an eye on them while they did a pick-n-mix. Or pick-n-eat, whatever it is that they do. I tried to make sure not too much ended up in their mouths before I paid. Ecogirl got us a couple of chocolate/sprinkle covered pretzels. Yums!!!! I paid for the kids candy and we left, too look for Pierre as per usual  We headed over to the bus stop and snuck past the water area. Please don't see it, please don't see it :scared: I think Cooper was too busy with his new treasure: the lightsaber, to see anything else. We made it over to the buses and jumped on ours. Cooper still had the saber light on while he was falling asleep on the bus. We could see the light droop, droop, drooping before plopping on the ground. He was pooped out! We all were and crashed the second we got back to our rooms. Then I realized I left our leftover WP in Goofy's Candy Co. BUMMER!

We decided to hang out at the hotel the next day since we weren't sure what Fay would bring. Tues was supposed to get anywhere from 4-10" of rain and we didn't want to get caught out in Epcot in all of that. Wed. was forecasted at on-off showers throughout the day which we can deal with at the park. I just didn't want to get caught in a right downpour. Besides, I wanted to enjoy the hotel, pool, sauna, gym, etc. I was fast becoming an AKL convert :worship:

Just found this! I read your TR from last year and im looking forward to this one :)

Hey Nicloe!!! Good to "see" you again! I just posted another installment!

All heck? popcorn:: popcorn::

I know, there has to be a reason!

Hi Sue!!!! Our food was really good, sorry you didn't have a good experience. I can't wait to talk about the cruise. I'm so glad our pc virus is gone so I can really get moving!

OMG that was you on KRR, I told DD she needed a bra ;) :rotfl2: I can't believe the Dad pretended to look down her top

You've done so many updates, glad the WPE food was yummy :thumbsup2

Hi, all. Just wanted to add in a couple of thoughts on our DTD experience:

First, another fun shot of Bella & Cooper in the fountain (can I admit I was soooooo tempted to follow them in?!?!?!).....

Disney1097.jpg

And a great shot of Bella expressing how she really feels about being soaking wet (is anyone surprised?? :rolleyes1 )

Disney1100.jpg

My first experience in DTD was pretty cool, although I was toooootally bummed that I couldn't find a FITTED women's ESPN T-shirt in the sports store! I am really fussy about the fit on my Ts and thought FOR SURE that this would be the place to get a girly sports T :confused3 . Oh, well, couldn't let that ruin my night! :upsidedow

The Lego store was cool. I was fascinated by the Lego-built family and dragon outside - how in the world do people do that?!?!? :worship: Unfortunately, I forgot to change to the night setting when I took my pictures, so I don't have any shots to share. Let's just say it's totally worth seeing.........

Now, the part for which I'm at a loss for words.......the pretzels from Goofy Candy Co. All I can say is OH. MY. WORD. THEY. ARE. SO. YUMMY. I wish I could have brought some home, but they never would have made it. To me, getting one (especially a custom-made one created right before your eyes!) should be a must-do if you're in DTD. And, besides, it's a PRETZEL, so it's much healthier, right?? I said, RIGHT???? :rotfl2: Well, healthier than other things I could have had, and soooo worth every bite!

Okay, as a finally note on DTD, here's a glass all margarita lovers should dream of......(disclaimer: This is in the kitchen retail shop, not in a bar). I'm a beer and wine drinker, but I still thought this was pretty impressive (check out the normal-sized martini glass next to it for perspective!).

Disney1102.jpg

Oh, and PS - the mishap at WPE (with the register going down and me having to wait for my order) was quickly overridden by the great food and service. It was just part of my Disney experience! :)
