You're the best. I want it to be awesome for you, too.

I mean, I know it's Disney so it's just going to be awesome for you no matter what, but it's a whole new experience for us to do it together!!!

OH, YEAH -
WERE IN SINGLE DIGITS!!!!!!!

(although that also means I am down to single digits to finish packing up my entire apartment, which isnt quite as much fun as planning for WDW.....

)
I promised Leyla I would take a look at the AK attractions & throw out my faves to see if anyone has feedback. Here are the ones that interest me most. I have no idea if this is too much to even think about doing, but Id rather have to whittle the list down than risk standing around with nothing to do (yah, right, like THAT would ever happen in Disney!!

). Okay, okay, in all seriousness.....
-
The Lion King show: a must-do, especially since I know how much Leyla loves Broadway-type shows. I do, too, and Ive been desperate to see it in NYC but havent had a chance. This is definitely the next best (or maybe THE best) thing!
-
Kilimanjaro Safari: ABSOLUTE must-do, though the Pangani Forest Trail sounds fun, too. But I LOOOOOOOVE baby elephants and there was one born in KS in June (his name is Tsavo, and you can see his pic at Allears.net). From the suggestions on the DIS, it seems like this should maybe the first thing we do, or at least one of the first, for the best opportunity to see lots of animals.
-
Maharajah Jungle Trek in Asia. I really, really want to check out JT - Im all about seeing the animals! I read that the best time to go (if you want to see the tigers) is in the afternoon. Guess they know thats feeding time! Im also really interested in the bats theyre amazing creatures and have a huge impact on our ecology.
-If we can time it right while in Asia, Id be interested in a
Flights of Wonder show anyone seen one? I love learning about different species of birds and their habitats, so this show sounds like something Id really enjoy.
-
Nemo show: just sounds like a great time. Like Mike, I love anything to do with the sea, and I adored the movie.
-Id like to check out
Habitat Habit in Rafikis Planet Watch (they have cotton top tamarins!). Has anyone been through there? And, while were in PW, maybe a stop at Conservation Station?
-If we have time after all that, Id be into the
Wild by Design tour. Leyla & I both like behind-the-scenes kind of stuff (its the Unwrapped of WDW, Leyla!

).
-For food, Flame Tree BBQ sounds good to me they have a yummy salad! Im tough with food, since I rarely negotiate on the healthy thing (even on vacation). Leylas on that same wavelength, though, which is so cool.

Tamu Tamu kiosk might be an option for a quick sandwich if FTB is too crowded. I absolutely, positively want to try Royal Anandapour Tea Company (in Asia). Anyone been there? I LOVE tea and the Silver Needle White Tea sounds completely yummy. I know, I know, hot tea in August in Orlando isnt exactly sane, but Im willing to make the sacrifice ...

. Oh, and healthy or not, theres a Safari Amber out there with my name on it!
Im on the fence about EE. I know several people have recommended it, and I'm sure it's amazing, but Ive never been much of a roller coaster fan. Its not so much about growing a pair,

(though I always scream), it's just that Im more of a hike in the woods girl than an amusement park girl. I know that EE is about the experience, not just the "ride," but in our limited time, I really want to concentrate on exploring the animals and doing shows or tours. If Leyla has her heart set on EE (and she finds a pair somewhere in her luggage

), Im game .. otherwise, I think Ill be so thrilled with everything else that Ill barely miss it.
Bottom line, I'm gonna love whatever we do
I cant believe were so close ... ... ... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
