So trying to get back on topic here.... =)

Has anyone used Beaute Speciale without having a trial run? I ask only because our time is going to be very limited once we arrive and I'm not so sure I'm going to be able to squeeze it in. I was going to have my personal stylist from home do my trial and bring pictures but I know some stylists don't particularly like this. Thanks gals =)

Same here... No Trail... just going with it. I've seen work they have done and its looks great. I'm starting to collect pictures as well.

I am having my trial with Anna on May 21 so I would not mins sending you some pics so you can see some examples if that helps? I want my hair down and want a vintage 1930s wavy hair with a deep side part like Veronica Lake.

If you are interested let me know and I will be happy to send them.

Yes, I used Anna and did not have a trial. I didn't get what I had envisioned for my hair, but that was my fault for not having photos or being specific enough. My hair turned out very nice despite my lack of direction. My makeup was great and stayed put all day and night. I had it done at 4am (MK shoot before the wedding) and we closed down MGM after 1am. I really liked Anna and would highly recommend her. I think having photos and being very specific is important if you aren't doing a trial first. I know tons of brides have used her and been very happy as well.

I'm also going to be using them with no trial.

I'm just gonna have to make sure I take images with me that are as close as possible to what I'm looking for.

I'm not used to having my hair put up nicely though, so I'm sure I'll be please with whatever they can do to tame my wild mane! :rotfl:

Ditto, Ditto, Ditto!!

Not having a trial beforehand

Hoping to find pics of "realistic" do's for my hair length and type to show them

I never wear my hair up, so I'm anxious to see what they do!!

Like others have said, I am confident they'll do a great job, and I even know for a fact that someone other than Ana will be working with us, which I am OK with!

From what I've seen in pics, I think that Beaute Speciale does some great work. I was impressed with all of the brides that I've seen on here that have used them! I think as long as you bring pictures of EXACTLY what you want and are very descriptive you should be fine without a trail.....

With that being said, let me tell you a story....

For my sisters wedding (I was her MOH :cutie: ) she had a friends sister who does hair come out to the house and do our hair the morning of the wedding. My sis had a trail a few months before the wedding, but I did not. When it was my turn to get my hair done, I sat in the chair and she asked me what I wanted done. I told her: "I'd like a side part that sweeps across... up with loose curls pinned up."... So she goes to work on my hair, teasing it, then combing it, then teasing it... my head is being yanked in all different directions. Finally I feel her scoop my hair in a pony, and she starts to curl and pin and tuck. When she gave me a mirror to look at the finished product, I ALMOST HAD A HEART ATTACK!!! I dont know what part of my description of how I wanted my hair said: "Pile my hair on the top of my head in a pyramid shape with one curl at the top," but that is literally what it looked like. I was mortified! My mom saw the horror on my face and asked me if I was 100% happy with it, and the hair lady said, "IF you want me to change something just let me know"... she was actually really nice and just wanted me to be happy with it, so I nicely said, maybe we can do a few loose hanging curls? Maybe not so tight."

So she started unpinning King tuts tomb and when she was done I was still not 100% happy, but it was better. I don't remember at what point I started to get upset about it, I think it was a few minutes later when I went into the bathroom and really saw in a big mirror just what I looked like... I really got upset and started to cry, my mom is yelling at me b/c I had just gotten my makeup done and it was going to smudge which just makes me more upset! My sister comes in and is trying to calm me down. At this point we are almost all ready to go and take the pictures! So finally my sis sits me down on a stool in the bathroom, she whips our our curling iron, and in her wedding dress, tiara and veil starts to fix my hair! When we look back on it, we just laugh b/c here she is on her wedding day, with enough things going on and stressing about, and she's doing my hair! After all was said and done, my hair was "nice", but certainly not what I wanted at all.

So for my own wedding there is NO way I'm not doing a hair trail, but that is just because of the horrible experience I had. Also, this lady definitely did not do wedding hair on a regular basis, and she was very young. I think that, on top of not being descriptive enough to her was what did me in!

i had a trail with ana in feb and i was not impressed, my hair fell out within about an hour or having it done, I had not done anything we literally went straight out after she done it.

The make up was very nice and lasted a long time but I am worried about my hair

Haha I have a test for that! Whenever I get my hair done up I ask them to take a blow dryer to it. If it starts to mess more pins are required. Most stylists will laugh but comply. Seriously it works.

I booked ana yesterday,
ive heard great things and she just did the hair and makeup for the disney channel stars during the disney games, including miley cyrus, which i thought was pretty cool.

I want my hair down and want a vintage 1930s wavy hair with a deep side part like Veronica Lake

that sounds beautiful i would love to see how it turns out

I hope that says everything about Ana, she is wonderful. My hair stayed in ALL day and my make up stayed in ALL day. She had a lovely bubbly personality making you feel special and at the same time relaxed.

I would HIGHLY recommend her. I had my hair half up and half down with cascading curls. The tiara stayed in all day, in fact when we went out for dinner (intimate wedding) I changed but left my tiara in. It took me ages to take it out as the amount of hidden pins she puts in your hair is amazing.

I didn't have a trial and was not worried she does this everyday of the week she does work on all famous people as well. She used to in fact work for disney photographic departments (not sure if she still does some work for them as well) for their advertising films etc.

she is the best:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Ditto. I booked them for our wedding last week. Ana sent Lilly and another womany whose name I cannot remember for the life of me, but they were great. I brought a picture and that was all she needed. My hair stayed in place thru ceremony, pictures, dinner and a fireworks cruise. DH had to help me pull bobby pins out later so I could go to bed! They use a spray to make sure your makeup will not smudge and they give you extra lipstick to touchup if you want. Last week the whole team there was involved in the hair and makeup for the DIsney channel games - I don't really want to look like the kids on the disney channel, but if Disney trusts them to do hair and makeup for a tv show, I trust them for my wedding. :thumbsup2

I WENT WITH ANA AND DID NOT DO A TRIAL SHE IS WONDERFUL!!!!! NO ISSUES AT ALL MY MAKEUP LASTED MY HAIR STAYED!! SHE IS THE BEST!!
