Bealls buy 1 get 1 year free ap

When the ticket is scanned and processed at Vacation service, the expiration will be for 2 years. The information is tied to the bacode. Don't worry. Nothings need to be written on the ticket. It could be totally blank. The computer just reads the barcode.

I just received my passes today, there is nothing on them to say they are to last 2 years, it just says premium annual pass.

For those who used the Burger King promotion, do you remember if there was anything actually written on the ticket to say it lasts 2 years?

I'm hoping I'm worrying about nothing.

You're worrying about nothing ;)

My BK one runs out next month - there is/was nothing different about the pass :thumbsup2

phamton and traceyL - thanks for that, you have put my mind at rest. :thumbsup2

Well all i did was go to the website and pretend to buy the tickets but it gives me a price of $191.65. There is free electronic pickup and a fee of $10 for domestic Fed Ex shipping and $20 for international fedex shipping.

parking is not free on the day you activate your pass because you have to show your pass to the parking guy to get the free parking. Parking is alway free after 6 p.m. When we bought our annual passes, we went on the day we arrived after 6 p.m. got our free parking and then went and got our annual passes activated.

thanks for your response...

coincidentally we got a Universal mailing today ...in which they now offer renewals .......at the same deal price.... 2 years for the price of ONE....

but by doing that the date for renewal would be june 30 thus it would expire in june 2008......

since this one from bealls will expire dec 2008, we think we will use that ....since we are not going back until then...

once again thanks for your reply

Sorry to say we had horrebdous problems with the Burger King BOGOF offer that I lost a little faith in the Universal system for showing when passes expire!

Here is a little summary of what happened -

We first went with the BK BOGOF offer in Oct 2004, and when we got the photocard AP they put an expiry date on for the day after we got them made up! Unknown to us as there is no expiry date shown on the pass. Hence the following day we couldn't enter the parks and it took ages to get guest services to put it right. Then upon our return last June (2005) as the 'computers' had been upgraded, since our visit in Oct 2004, our passes once again said they had expired and the date was the day after we had them activated the previous October, after another wait and being told we couldn't possibly of had the 2 for 1 offer it all got sorted but was a stressful time and wasted valuable park time!!
But this had made me think in future that I will take copies of emails, confirmation of purchase etc with me.

BTW know of other people who reattended only to be told their passes were one year and had expired!

Claire ;)

My family bought 4 BK APs and never had any problem. I am sorry that you had a bad experience.

I hate when APs don't work. I have had APs for Disney for 4 years now and have had 15 different passes made for me alone. Mine keeps getting demagnitized. I don't carry it in a purse. I store it in the booklet thing it comes in and put it in a drawer. It is not near a cellphone or any magnet. It hasn't gotten wet and looks brand new and yet it still doesn't work about every month. I get sent to Guest services to make another one constantly. The same thing has happened to everyone in my family at least 5 times a piece. With 4 of us with APs in the family, every single time we go as a family, we can count on at least one AP not working. It does get frustrating.

We had something similar happen to us, but I saved myself two ways: 1) You can always check the expiration of your APs online before you go to the parks. Once I noticed the expiration on our APs was wrong, I 2) forwarded them an e-mail copy of my receipt showing that I had purchased the B1G1 AP. They very promptly responded and corrected our expiration date online, before we went.

So, check your expiration date online, before you head to the parks if you already have your AP, and save your e-mail confirmation of your purchase. I had my problem fixed VERY easily. :)

sorry for not being more specific.....the renewal rate offered in the mailing was 179$ ( two years for the price of one - preferred pass ), the same as the Bealls offer....

:rotfl2: Don't put a Disney pass in the wash. SW passes do OK. Not sure about Universal, have not washed their AP yet. :confused3

This is a much better deal than the AAA $5.00 off! The 'will call' (being able to pick them up at the park) saves the $10 FedEx fee!

I have the Burger King passes. I don't even see an expiration date on them. I can tell you that my pass has red writing. I seen people with passes that had Blue writing. I just figured the blue ones are the new ones.

the BK passes expire at the end of june

we have them and were going to renew ....but will now just do the Bealls deal since it does not have to be activated until dec 31 2006 and then are good for two years from the date of activation

am assuming if we renewed the BK's .....they would expire at the end of june 2007 ( not sure how renewal work )

macraven, I did the exact same thing when the Burger King deal had come out. I was able to cancel the confirmation of my bonus passes, as long as I had the confirmation of my B1G1 year free APs. They refunded my credit card for the bonus pass purchase promptly.

Did you arrange for will call of your Bonus Pass? (I did, but it might be more difficult if you had hard tickets sent to you.)

I did the upgrade all through e-mail: customer.support@tickets.universalstudios.com

You might also phone them to ensure this is how they still handle "online upgrades" 888.322.7119

Good luck!

i tried that number you listed for quite a few days.
got a "this is not a correct area code recorded message"

i called universal today and was transfered around a lot.
did buy the bealls 2 year pap. whew.

i talked to a very nice person and she told me they could do a refund on my 5 day pass once i had confirmation numbers on the january purchase and the ap purchase.

called them back and asked for the same gal.
she voided out my 5 day pass and credited my account for it.

they refuse to credit me the $20 i spent on the fed ex previously.
rats.......

did a fed ex again as i don't want to wait to get the ap from the kiosk.

another charge for fed ex of course but by my chosing.

i was told i could use the ap confirmation number to buy the hhn tickets that are coming out.

wish me luck.
i always thought you had to have the actual ap and number to do so.

this 2 year bealls promo is fabulous !!

Don't have to be activated until December 31, 2006? That's it....I am sold!!
