Bealls buy 1 get 1 year free ap

This is awesome! Even though we are current AP holders, we will probably take advantage of this just to extend our expiration date by about 3 months.

We go 2-3x a year, and it always makes sense to renew the APs, but this year we renewed in September and couldn't make it back till May -- 7 months w/o using the AP.

This year, our passes also expire in September (and we have a trip planned before they expire), but we're not going back again till December. I think we'll use our current APs in September, let them expire, and then use the vouchers for the B1G1 APs in December to turn our expiration from Sept 2007 to December 2008 -- makes a difference for HHN next year -- and the year after that! We'd have had to renew our current APs 2x at $99 + tax to get to HHN for 2008. Now it's just once and saves us the tiniest bit of $$. :)

Will we have to show a receipt to get the passes when we get there? I know that it will let you order them online but wasn't sure if I needed a receipt when I activate them.

You won't need a receipt. You pick up a ticket from the kiosk and enter the park. From there you go straight to Vacation Services and get your AP.

i purchased the 5 day park pass january of this year.

if i make a purchase at bealls, can i buy the pap at guest services and turn in my unused 5 day pass for credit towards this 2 year pap?

anyone know??
miss p, do you?

I thought the Beall's deal was only good online. I haven't seen it as an option yet at the gates. You might be able to get a refund on the Bonus pass if you email or call Universal though.

macraven, I did the exact same thing when the Burger King deal had come out. I was able to cancel the confirmation of my bonus passes, as long as I had the confirmation of my B1G1 year free APs. They refunded my credit card for the bonus pass purchase promptly.

Did you arrange for will call of your Bonus Pass? (I did, but it might be more difficult if you had hard tickets sent to you.)

I did the upgrade all through e-mail: customer.support@tickets.universalstudios.com

You might also phone them to ensure this is how they still handle "online upgrades" 888.322.7119

Good luck!

thanks for the info.

i bought the 5 day pass first week in january and had it sent to me.
i'll try to buy the bealls ap on line and go to gs when i get to UO in october for a refund on the previously purchased pass

The pass will automatically activate on 12/31/06, so does that mean they will be good until 12/31/08?

if you don't activate them prior to that. if you don't, they self-activate at the end of the year.

I took my kids to universal for the first time this trip. They loved it. We only went for one day. I still ahve 2 days left on my 3 day tickets but they dont expire. I think I should get these tickets and be able to go whenever I want like I do with Disney and SW. Too bad they arent offering the flexible payment option.

i['m going to bealls website to order.

this is a sweet deal and just can't pass it up :thumbsup2

Do people that already have AP's let theirs expire and buy this instead of paying $99 per/year to renew?

Thats what Im going to do. We will have to renew ours by Oct for our trip then so Im just getting the new ones. it works out cheaper. Not a huge difference for 1 but there are 6 of us so it adds up. Plus my dh lost his and one ds too so they would have to pay an additional $10 for a new one.

Your pass isn't activated until you go to Vacation Services and get your picture taken and your AP made. Think of it as a voucher to get your real AP. Until then, you just have a ticket that entitles you to get into the park and not an AP. You are given an extra day on your AP. If you activate May 23, 2006 , your pass is valid on May 23, 2008, which is 2 years plus one day.

Ohhh. Thanks for that.

I just received my passes today, there is nothing on them to say they are to last 2 years, it just says premium annual pass.

For those who used the Burger King promotion, do you remember if there was anything actually written on the ticket to say it lasts 2 years?

I'm hoping I'm worrying about nothing.
