Be Our Guest Lunch FastPass Thread [PLEASE read the FAQs in the first post!]

You know what - I got up this morning to book and I think the same thing is happening with me. We made a reservation back last November on bounce-back for Sept 27th-Sept 30th, but cancelled it back in May. We now have a trip booked for October 16th-20th. They have completely different reservation numbers (In fact one was a free dining package, the new one is a room only through DVC.) However, when I log on to the FP+ site, it's showing dates of September 27th - Oct 2nd. I bet it's the same situation.

Anyone have a clue if there's anything we can do about it? There's no help # for this. My best guess is that we'll have to wait at least until after the date of the first reservation, then the system might reset. Unfortunately, we may just be completely screwed.

Truthfully, I don't really care that much for this trip...if I can get it, fine, but if not we really don't mind eating somewhere else either.

OK - I said earlier (in the post I'm quoting) that I don't really care, but now I'm a little teed off. I got the official invitation e-mail, yet the system STILL shows the wrong dates for me. I guess I'm going to try and call, even though it seems like there is nothing they can do for me. Pretty annoying that this works so poorly.

Did you try clearing your cookies or using a different e-mail account to log in?
 
I logged in at 12am FL time 27 days prior and the FP wasn't available, but logged in at 6am FL time (3am AZ time! :surfweb:) and was able to get them! I don't think it was necessary, but better safe than sorry :yay:

I did try a different log-in, but when I tried on a different account, it said my reservation # was already claimed.

I am not sure that clearing cookies would do anything. The reservation # I used did not have those dates attached to them ever.

We are now 26 days away from our trip and still have not received a BOG FP+ email, and I try the website daily, but just get "no times available for the selected date."

Should we be worried? I know we can still wait in line (and will if we have to), but it just makes it easier to have a FP+ and a scheduled date and time.

Has anyone had any luck when they were less than 27 days away? I know people have had luck at varying times.

Any feedback would be appreciated!!

I'm sure this is already answered earlier, but there are too many pages to go through. The FAQ mentions this is only for on-site guests. I'm assuming there's little chance to have lunch at BOG unless we're staying in a Disney Hotel? We're going in late January, and there's nothing on the ADR front.

Yes, the FP is only for onsite guests. You can still eat lunch there by waiting in the stand by line.

You can still wait in line to eat lunch there, the last time I was there in January we did not wait in line for more than 20 minutes.

Are you 27 days before the DAY you want to eat at BOG? It's not 27 days before the first day of your trip. It's 27 days from the actual day you want to eat at BOG.

What day are you wanting to eat at BOG? Today you can make your BOG FP FOR 10/21, tomorrow 10/22, etc. and remember you can only get a BOG FP for one of your first 7 days of your trip.

Okay, this I did not realize. I am 27 days out from the first day of my trip, but not 27 days out from the day I want to eat at BOG. I hope that is why I am not able to get one, since it keeps telling me that there are none available for that day. I guess I will keep trying, and see if I can book it 27 days from the day I want to eat there.

ETA: Also, are you allowed to make a FP for more than one day? Or do you only get one? I was thinking of eating there for lunch for 2 of my 3 MK days.

I was able to get one of the POR res numbers via the online check in method. However, after I clicked online check in and wrote down the number (And did NOTHING on the page at all), online check in vanished from not only that reservation, but the other 2 as well.

When that page loads, look up top at your URL.
Your 12 digit code is at the end of that string, ie.: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/trip/online-check-in/resort-reservation/4414XXXXXXXX/

Right. That is how I found the number for Bro#1. But after I did that and got his number, online check in for all three reservations went haywire. It is completely gone from his reservation on MDE and the other two (which I don't have the number for yet and had not previously attempted online check in on) direct me to an error page.

I don't know if this will help but I have been having issues with the site the past few days and when I logged out, cleared my cache/cookies, and opened a new browser, everything looked normal again within MDE. Maybe that will work for you as well, hopefully :confused3

You can only hold 1 FP+ at a time for BOG, but after you use the first one you should be able to book another one for another day of your trip if there is still availability of course. Also, I did not receive my e-mail invite until I was 25 days out from the start of my trip.

Ok, thank you. I went ahead and made a FP for the first day I am at MK. I actually have an ADR at another restaurant that day, but I thought what I can do is try and see if I can change it for my last day at MK when that opens up. If not, I can at least have a dessert or snack or something before my lunch. I would like to see in there, since I didn't get to last trip.
 
My husband has sharp eyes!

We were talking about MDE being down so he decided to try on his phone, just to see if he could get in and if the online check in option showed up there. He noticed when he clicked on the reservation details that for a millisecond the alphanumeric number showed as the 12 digit. Somehow he was able to reload a couple of times and read off all of the numbers. For two reservations.

And now the Be Our Guest lunch page doesn't work. Go figure. :-)
 
Does their server have problems in the mornings? Today is my day but the site won't even load... It has worked for me every other time I've tried it, but I've never tried this early in the day.
 
It's having issues right now it appears. It was down last night at 12 when I went on as well. Hopefully will come back soon, and hopefully I'll see you at BoG on the 22nd... hehehe (my day too).
