Be Our Guest Lunch FastPass Thread [PLEASE read the FAQs in the first post!]

I feel you pain! 11/19 is my birthday! This whole trip is for my birthday, lol...I am the "martyr" of the family, we joke. I always miss stuff because of my job, or things get cancelled, etc. If the plans are for me, they fall apart...ehich is funny because I am a positive, optimistic person. My family wants this trip to be perfect for me and tons of problems have come up, including my son and husband had to push back their arrival by a day due to exams at my son's school. I booked a fast pass for BOG for arrival day 11/17, thinking I could change it today :rotfl2:but no go. Guess it will be just me and my lovely DD on 11/17!!!! Thank goodness I booked it to test the site!!!

I am the crazy planner too and booked a BOG for earlier in our trip to be sure I had one and then went on early again this morning to book for the real day I wanted. However, I have checked each morning this week and during the day and there were always times still available. Since no one can access the site right now, I think you will be fine getting what you need when it comes back online. :goodvibes
 
Just to be clear... It won't show up in MDE, but they will scan our magic bands and the fastpass "reservation" will automagically be there, yes? This system is bad even for Disney. :confused3


No, it will not be on our magic bands. Just walk up to the counter and give them your name. I took a screen shot picture of my reservation so I have proof on my phone that I have one! I don't trust it either. ;)
 
It just amazes me that with all their technology, money and expertise, WDW and DCL STILL don't have servers/websites/technology to handle the volume of requests and inquiries that they (must) know by now they will be getting on a daily basis! :sad2: I just tried and the website is still down. Even had trouble getting the dining website to work on the main site!

The dining website has been awful the past few days!
 

We ate at BOG 3 weeks ago with the FP and when you walk up, just tell them you have a FP. They never asked for anything but our name and sent us in to order. I had my FP screenshot on my phone but never needed it :goodvibes Our FP was for 11am, we checked in at 10:55, we were ordering by 11:00 and eating by 11:15. :thumbsup2
 
I've said for years that a company as successful as Disney should be ashamed of their website. Boggles the mind. As I sit here waiting for the site to work....

Lol...Yes, crazy planner here. I am also typing on my phone so lots of spelling errors due to my chubby fingers! I am staying positive! I just texted my dd who is at college and she is mad, but I told her to not worry. Its funny: I kept having a feeling my son and husband would not make the trip. See, my son is a professional actor and lately has been on a roll: he booked 2 commercials and a voice-over job and has an LA agent now (we are in Chicago). This week, he booked his first feature film! Of course it films during our trip but he only shoots 9 days and we found out NOT that wee But he does have exams on the 17th, so he and my dh are coming on the last flight out of Midway and arriving at midnight. These are all First World problems, I know. I just have my fingers crossed that we all get the fast passes we want...disboarders are great people!!!

SO great for your son! What an opportunity! I'm sure you'll get your BOG for the 19th! Just keep checking the site so you can be on as soon as it is back up. Really, I was amazed when I checked the site last night and there were still multiple times available for the 18th which was the day you could book yesterday! Hoping this means this week won't be TOO crowded! (insert my wishful thinking!) :)

You are so right! It makes me wonder who is in charge of their IT?? Baboons????

I book a lot of travel and have never had nearly as many problems with another resort's, hotel's, or airline's website as I have had with Disney's. Surely Southwest or Hilton would be out of business if their website was as unreliable as Disney's!

Thanks...my son has been acting professionally since he was 9 (he just turned 17) and works very hard! He's been in commercials and an episode of a tv show that filmed in Chicago.

been trying last 10 minutes and it says there are already none left, ugh! Anyone able to get a fast pass last 5 min or so
 
It's up now. There's an availability for a party of 4 at 11:30 on the 17th. Only time I can find, and of course we are eating in another park an hour after that. Argh!!

I can't find anything on the 19th or 20th and can't go out any further to look.
