Be careful: SWA booked my son for the wrong flight

Today I called SWA to change the return flight date for our July WDW trip. I had previously had to book my son and I on separate reservations, due to using multiple credits to pay for part of each flight. Because we're flying under separate ressies & my son is 11, I could only change the reservation by phone.

I called in and told the reservationist to change both of our flights to the new date and time, which she said she did. She said my son had a different credit amount left afterwards than me, but I assumed that was due to a flight price fluctuation. Later, upon receiving the confirmation emails, I went over them and saw that she had booked me correctly but my son on a flight to the wrong city, in another state!

Thank goodness I checked well in advance, instead of only finding out a day or so before, while we were at WDW. That would really have messed up our trip! I called back to have it fixed, & got a very low key apology.:sad2:

Be careful when booking & modifying SWA with an agent.

Yup, gotta check & recheck the confirmation email. The 1 time I let my brother book his own flight, he screwed up and we didn't find out until trying to check in for the flight home. Cost a fortune in points to get him home. Good thing I like him. If he had checked his email we could have fixed it with little or no increase in cost.
