Our travel dates are May 8-15th. We are looking to fly Delta Song. The lowest price I am coming up with is $230 per person, round trip. My question is this....would you book now at this price for fear that it may go higher? Or would you wait and see if it goes down? Thanks, Donna

$230 is not bad, it could be worse. My suggestion is click on "view seats" if a lot are taken then odds are the price won't drop much (if it all). If most are open, then you might want to take the risk and decide to wait. Sometimes the 6:30 pm flight opens up with cheaper fares.

Thanks Joe! I just checked...almost every seat on the flights we are interested in are available.

We're in CT, too. We wanted to fly direct non-stop, so that limited us to the only two that do: Delta and Southwest. For us, Southwest's times and prices were way better than Delta.

Do you not like Southwest? Just checked your dates and there are seats available for $79 each way (round trip incl. taxes and fees = $180.10). Lots of different times available.

Good luck with whatever you decide. :flower1:

I was looking at BDL to MCO for 5/7-5/16. I found a much better rate at JFK on Delta Song for $155. Also bought tickets for my Brother-in-law for 5/7-5/13 for 135.20 out of JFK. It will cost us about $100. more for the 5 of us because we drive to the airport the night before our flight and stay at a nearby hotel where we could leave our car for the entire trip. The hotel and parking at BDL would cost $100. But it's $199. at JFK. Hope this helps.

I've just been looking at both airlines tonight for May 14-21. I'm waiting this one out, as there a lot of empty seats on Delta.

It's not like early May is a time they sell out much. I think you'd be safe waiting to see if they will drop prices a bit to tempt you. That being said, I think $230 r-t BDL-MCO is about standard; out of Boston Logan it is usually $210 before discounts.

Thanks everyone! I think I will wait this one out a little longer...We are really trying to avoid Southwest this time around, so I will just keep checking the prices on Delta...

You know, another advantage to booking Song for your dates would be that it would be after the beginning of the new "Magic Express" service, which would mean that transportation from MCO to your on-site resort would be basically free, plus you would not need to wait for baggage claim; you'd simply check you bags with Disney at BDL, and they'll magically arrive at your on-site room. I am starting to think that maybe the Mears bus isn't so bad if I can skip lugging bags from the baggage claim and all. I look forward to reports on this service. Do you wanna be our guinea pig, rootskate?

Actually, we are not going to be able to take advantage of the "Magical Express" because we will be renting a car. :guilty: Otherwise, I would be honored to be the guinea pig for my fellow Disers, lol. :D

Flying from BDL to MCL May 2...I was looking at rates around $236 originally when we were planning to leave Tuesday, May 3rd...However, just by chance and out of curiosity recently, I checked the same flights for MONDAY, May 2nd instead and booked through Orbitz at $166/pp...That savings helped quite a bit, seeing as I needed 5 tickets. And, Orbitz discounted the one seat that I needed for a child in a carseat, as well. Delta and others would not offer such a discounted fare. My total fare matched Southwest, however, I preferred to steer clear of Southwest...Anyone ever watch that show "Airline" on A&E?!?!
