BCV waiting list

We are non-members and have been on the waiting list for 150 (any UY)
BCV points since the first of June. As I watch the boards here, I haven't seen much movement on BCV points in the past month or so. Is anyone out there having better luck than we have?

Wow! I just went on the list today for BCV. I guess it is a waiting game!

Our rep said he did not think it would take more than a few months.

I have been on the waiting list for 50 additional BCV points with a June UY since June 5. I am hoping I get them sometime before Christmas

Sigh..........I guess I was hoping that "any UY" would speed it up a little.

I was on the wait list for BCV Dec UY 65 points as of May 30. I canceled it 8/26 so it should bump you all up one.

Congratulations! When did you go on the list, what use year and how many points?

i am sure you have thought of this by now. but--- try a wait list with the timeshare store for a resale. that is probably the fastest way and they are very professional and pleasant to do business with. i have purchased from them as well as directly from disney and find that both work very well, in fact the timeshare store is probably a little faster.

We are waiting for Dec UY, 100 points. We went on the list in March. All of the contracts I have seen through the TTS don't have points available until 2007 or 2008 (although I just started to explore this option). I am hoping for this year's points. The prices are also at a premium ($98) and I would pay $95 through Disney with no closing costs.

We wanted April points and went on in March. Got 210 points in 4 weeks so I guess it is a matter of luck and timing. Keep waiting, they will come through. I also called every week to ask so maybe they gave me the points to get me to stop calling.

That may be a good idea!! We've been on the waiting list for 3 months 8 days or 14 weeks 1 day....but who's counting. I am going CRAZY I want our points so bad!!

Wow!!!! 3 months??? and any UY??? That is strange. DVC regularly buys back points and then when they have a batch offer them to those on the waiting list. Most of the buybacks (ROFR) are due to divorces, according to my guide so unless something in the rate of divorces has changed dramatically you should press the issue. The guides do make commission off the resales as well as the new sales (probably less commission) but get in front of your guide and get him/her to check on a regular basis for you. Ask your guide how far down the list you are. They said you are next in line but it is difficult for them to check as they have to go to another department to check this. I believe they get info once a day in the morning in their computers of point availability so call early. Make your name well known to him / her. The points are only going to get more expensive and any price they quoted you at the time of signup is probably expired now.

Ok, I'm starting to get the picture that we have mishandled our waiting time by not being persistant in checking our list stautus.

I called at the one month point and our guide put me off on even looking at where we were on the list-said the waiting lists were "thrown" up on a wall about once a week and that they really didn't tell you much about your wait time. I got my DH to call a week or so ago (right at the three month point) , and our guide did look and said it would be a good while longer.....maybe October or even December.

I was suprised by it taking this long with the "any UY".
