BCV Trip Report

Hi everyone!! I am a little behind on writing up my trip report but I have been a little busy. We had a great time!!! My dd (22 months old) absolutely loved it. We were there May 9-18.

We had rented a car but actually bumped up to a van with a built in car seat. That thing was awesome!! My dd loved it. We arrived at BCV around 1pm and our room was ready. We were in room 312. Nice room very close to the elevator. I absolutely loved the BCV, SAB and of course Beaches and Cream. This was our first time staying at this hotel and we will definitely return there next year.

The weather was great!!!! I couldn't have hoped for better weather. The crowds were very low May 9-14 but once the weekend hit it definitely was more crowded and the crowds carried into the next week.

The first evening we walked to MGM, very nice walk. We bought our PAP and took my dd on the Great Movie Ride (not a good idea). We were back in our room by 8 (couldn't miss the finale of Survivor).

We actually spent alot of time at Epcot since it's so close. We also went to Blizzard Beach everyday. My dd absolutely loved the water park.

We did see Philharmagic. Great show!!

We ate at Ohana's, Rose and Crown, Cape May Cafe for breakfast and lunch and Liberty Tree.

My dd loved all the characters. It was so much fun watching her, she was so excited to them, we had a really hard time trying to get her to understand she had to wait in line for them.

I really have no complaints, our vacation was great!!

We did realize once we got home that we left the battery charger to our digital camera in the room. Housekeeping checked the room and it was still there so they have mailed it out to us.

Overall a very enjoyable and relaxing trip (even with a 22 month old)

We were at disney the same time as you (over at BWV). What was your view of from your room and what size room? Thanks for sharing, sounds like you had a great time! Wasn't the weather beautiful? We are going again next May because it was so nice this year.

We had a similar experience leaving my cell phone charger at WL. My DH unpacked the suitcase when we got home and it didn't find it. So he frantically called WL..no luck they hadn't found it. Eventually we just bought another one.

Skip to one year later.. I am packing us for our next trip to WDW and what do I find in the bottom of the suitcase? YUP! The charger for my cell phone.

How crowded was SAB? Were they checking wristbands pretty carefully?

We now have less than one week til our family trip to BCV. I have been so nervous as it is our first trip as DVC members. Thank you for the report. It some what calms the nerves to hear positive trip reports.

Disney50... This was also our first trip as DVC members. We are very happy we became DVC members. It was awesome!!

PKS44...I didn't feel that SAB was very crowded. We only received wristbands once.

Lexxiefern...We had a studio. We had a view of the quiet pool. Very nice!! My dd loved that fact that every morning she went out on the balcony to see the ducks swimming in the pool. The weather was wonderful!! We are going again next year but a week earlier to make use of our PAP one more time. Hope you had a nice trip.

We just returned from a May 15-24 trip. Spent the first part of that at BCV and swam at SAB. Some days we did not get a wristband and some days we did. What the CM told us was: they check cards and hand out wristbands until about 3:30/4, then they don't bother.

We were typically at the pool between 1:30 and 4:30/5 on Saturday/Sunday/Monday, and I don't think I would have ever called it 'busy' or 'crowded'.

We are going to BCV in Oct and don't want to take our carseat if possible. What company did you rent from to get the built in seat? We have a reservation with National and Dollar right now to see which rate gets better, but your van sounds better.

Judy... We rented throuh Budget. It was great. The built in car seat was wonderful, plus we didn't have to pay the $7 a day for a car seat. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I totally agree with you! I am totally nervous about our first trip to BCV. I keep reading all of these negatvie reports on BCV and I'm really worried about going. I spent all this money on buying points and I hope it's worth it. I guess we'll see in a few weeks.
