Stayed at BCV from May 1-9. We had Room #252, a dedicated 2BR. Resort is shaped kind of like a curved "Y" and I think we were at the bottom of the "Y". Last room at the end of the hall. Long way from elevators. Door at the end didn't really go anywhere because of the scaffolding that closed off the walkway next to BC that goes to the exit next to Epcot. We had one long deck that went the entire length of MBR, 2BR and LR. Partial view of Epcot ball and construction for Soaring. We saw the higher fireworks from Illuminations. Room was in fairly good shape, with a few stains on the carpet and a few nicks on furniture, but nothing more than normal wear and tear. Had to call front desk for a remote for the LR television. Only remote in LR was for DVD player. Everything else was okay. No problems with AC. Water pressure was kind of light. Certainly not what we're used to, but adequate. But you do have to stay in a little longer just to get the shampoo and soap off, so how does this save on water???
Noticed a few people at SAB with wristbands on several days, but most did not have any.
Saturday 5/1: Arrived early afternoon. Room wasn't ready, so we went to the grocery store (Publix) and when we came back at about 4:00 the room was ready. Had dinner at Artist Point. Very good. Friendly staff.
Sunday 5/2: Went to US/IA.
Monday 5/3: Went to Epcot. Light rain in the morning, but it didn't slow us down. Got a fastpass for Fast Track and went right to Mission:Space. I got fairly disoriented and dizzy. We then went right to Fast Track. Had lunch at Le Cellier. I had to eat really slowly because I was still feeling queazy. Felt better by mid-afternoon. Went to the room about 5:00 and back to Epcot for Illuminations.
Tuesday 5/4: Went to MGM till about 3:00. Went to Magic Kingdom for SpectroMagic and Wishes. We had usually watched all this from the train station so we didn't even know that Tinkerbell made an appearance during the fireworks. So this time we watched from outside the circle in front of the castle on the right side (looking at the castle). Tink slides down a wire that's attached to the castle at one end and something in Tomorrowland on the other end. Saw her slide down the wire all lit up. It was great. Will never watch from the train station again!!
Wednesday 5/5: Went to Magic Kingdom until about 3:00. Saw Mickey's PhilharMagic. Great show!! Went to MGM about 4:00 and rode Rock N Roller Coaster for the first time. I do not ride coasters, so this took a lot of courage for me. It was not bad and I might even do it again. It didn't make me queazy like the disorienting rides do. Did TOT several times. Had dinner at 50's Prime Time, then watched Fantasmic.
Thursday 5/6: Went to Animal Kingdom. I never get tired of Lion King show. It's wonderful. Saw the construction of the new coaster.
Friday 5/7: Went to Typhoon Lagoon for first time. Then went to the SSR open house. It is great!! I love the decor there better than any I think. I'm going to post about this in a separate post.
Saturday 5/8: Shopped at DTD and drove to Celebration. Swam and took it easy after pushing it pretty hard the first 5 days.
Sunday 5/9: Had breakfast and left for the airport, which is always depressing for me.
I'll be glad to answer any questions.
