Hello BCV Experts:

We are heading to BCV in 2 weeks. Never stayed near WDW before. I have a few questions. We are staying in a studio. Are there toasters? Cutlery and dishes? How would we get from BCV to MK, and from BCV to DD? We won't have a car. How is the kids programming? Is it available day and night? Is there mini golf nearby? How about bike rentals? Any info or tips would be appreciated. Travelling with 2 adults, DD10, DS4.

Thanks,
Wendy

I know there should be a toaster, and I am pretty sure there are some dishes (maybe plastic?) and cutlery (also possibly plastic?).

To both MK and DD, you will need to take a bus from the BC. You will also need to take a bus to AK. You can take a boat to Epcot and MGM.

Kids programming should be on all the time - there are several channels dedicated to playing Disney 24/7.

There is mini-golf near Blizzard Beach - I think you have to take the bus to BB to get there...but not sure about that.

There really is not bike rental, but you can go across to the Boardwalk, and rent those bike-type things that seat 4. You can ride them around the the lake - they have a name...but can't seem to think of it right now!

The pool at BC is fabulous - as well as the breakfast buffet at Cape May Cafe. DH and I loved the BWV. They have their own pool, which tends to be a lot more quiet then the main pool. The rooms are beautiful, and the walk to Epcot is nice!

Enjoy your trip!

The bikes kellyf2626 is thinking of are called surrey bikes. You can get 2-seaters, 4-seaters and I think even 6-seaters? They are really fun!

In addition to the Winter Summerland mini golf near BB, there is the Fantasia Gardens mini golf over by the Swan and Dolphin. I haven't been to any of these yet myself so maybe someone will offer some opinions on which mini golf course they prefer. I seem to remember the winter part of Winter Summerland gets some good reviews.

You can walk to minigolf from BCVs. You have to go past the Swan and Dolphin hotels. It's by the entrance from the main road.

Yes! That is the name....it was bugging me that I couldn't think of it!!

Thanks LisaS!

You get 4 paper plates, 4 paper bowls, 2 ceramic coffee mugs, 4 glasses and plastic cutlery. We had a toaster, coffee maker, corkscrew and hand can opener. On a previous trip, my DD requested and received a blender.

There is no Community Hall at BCV. So there is no children's programmed activities for only the BCV. However, at the pool they may have some children's activities.

You will have a microwave oven, plus an undercounter refrigerator. Big enough for a gallon of milk plus other items.
